2 Timothy 1

1 Paul an Apostle of Iesus Christ, by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Iesus,

૧ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં જીવનના વચન પ્રમાણે ઈશ્વરની ઇચ્છાથી ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુના પ્રેરિત પાઉલ તરફથી વહાલા દીકરા તિમોથીને સલામ.

2 To Timotheus my beloued sonne: Grace, mercie and peace from God the Father, and from Iesus Christ our Lord.

૨ઈશ્વર પિતા તથા ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુ આપણા પ્રભુ તરફથી, તને કૃપા, દયા તથા શાંતિ હો.

3 I thanke God, whom I serue from mine elders with pure conscience, that without ceasing I haue remembrance of thee in my praiers night and day,

૩વંશપરંપરાથી જે મારા પૂર્વજોના ઈશ્વર કે, જેમને હું શુદ્ધ અંતઃકરણથી ભજું છું, તેમની આભારસ્તુતિ કરું છું કે, મારી પ્રાર્થનાઓમાં હું રાતદિવસ તારું સ્મરણ નિત્ય કરું છું.

4 Desiring to see thee, mindefull of thy teares, that I may be filled with ioy:

૪તારાં આંસુઓ યાદ કરતા હું તને જોવાને ઘણો ઉત્સુક થાઉં છું કે (તને જોઈને) હું આનંદથી ભરપૂર થાઉં;

5 When I call to remembrance the vnfained faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and in thy mother Eunice, and am assured that it dwelleth in thee also.

૫કેમ કે જે નિષ્કપટ વિશ્વાસ તારામાં છે, જે અગાઉ તારી દાદી લોઈસમાં તથા તારી મા યુનિકેમાં રહેલો હતો, અને મને ભરોસો છે કે તારામાં પણ છે, તે મને યાદ છે.

6 Wherefore, I put thee in remembrance that thou stirre vp the gift of God which is in thee, by the putting on of mine hands.

૬માટે હું તને યાદ કરાવું છું કે, ઈશ્વરનું જે કૃપાદાન મારા હાથ મૂકવાથી તને મળ્યું તેને તારે જ્વલિત રાખવું.

7 For God hath not giuen to vs the Spirite of feare, but of power, and of loue, and of a sound minde.

૭કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે આપણને ભયનો આત્મા નહિ, પણ સામર્થ્યનો, પ્રેમનો તથા સાવધ બુદ્ધિનો (આત્મા) આપ્યો છે.

8 Be not therefore ashamed of the testimonie of our Lord, neither of me his prisoner: but be partaker of the afflictions of the Gospel, according to the power of God,

૮માટે આપણા પ્રભુની સાક્ષી વિષે, અને હું જે તેમનો બંદીવાન છું, તેના વિષે તું શરમાઈશ નહિ, પણ સુવાર્તાને લીધે મારી સાથે ઈશ્વરના સામર્થ્ય પ્રમાણે તું દુઃખનો અનુભવ કર.

9 Who hath saued vs, and called vs with an holy calling, not according to our workes, but according to his owne purpose and grace, which was giuen to vs through Christ Iesus before the world was, (aiōnios g166)

૯તેમણે આપણો ઉદ્ધાર કર્યો તથા પવિત્ર પસંદગીથી આપણને, આપણા કામ પ્રમાણે નહિ, પણ તેમના જ સંકલ્પ તથા કૃપા પ્રમાણે તેડ્યાં. એ કૃપા અનાદિકાળથી ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુમાં આપણને આપેલી હતી; (aiōnios g166)

10 But is nowe made manifest by that appearing of our Sauiour Iesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortalitie vnto light through the Gospel.

૧૦પણ આપણા ઉદ્ધારનાર ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુના પ્રગટ થયાથી તે હમણાં પ્રસિદ્ધ થયેલી છે; તેમણે મરણને નષ્ટ કર્યું અને સુવાર્તાદ્વારા જીવન તથા અમરપણું પ્રગટ કર્યું છે;

11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and Apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

૧૧મને તે સુવાર્તાનો સંદેશાવાહક, પ્રેરિત તથા શિક્ષક નીમવામાં આવ્યો છે.

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed: for I knowe whom I haue beleeued, and I am persuaded that he is able to keepe that which I haue committed to him against that day.

૧૨એ કારણથી હું એ દુઃખો સહન કરું છું; તોપણ હું શરમાતો નથી; કેમ કે જેમના પર મેં વિશ્વાસ કર્યો તેમને હું ઓળખું છું, અને મને ભરોસો છે કે, તેમને સોંપેલી મારી અનામત તે દિવસ સુધી સાચવી રાખવાને તે શક્તિમાન છે.

13 Keepe the true paterne of the wholesome wordes, which thou hast heard of me in faith and loue which is in Christ Iesus.

૧૩જે સત્ય વચનો તેં મારી પાસેથી સાંભળ્યાં તેનો નમૂનો ખ્રિસ્ત ઈસુ પરના વિશ્વાસ તથા પ્રેમમાં પકડી રાખ.

14 That worthie thing, which was committed to thee, keepe through the holy Ghost, which dwelleth in vs.

૧૪જે સારી અનામત તને સોંપેલી છે તે આપણામાં રહેનાર પવિત્ર આત્મા વડે સંભાળી રાખ.

15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia, be turned from me: of which sort are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

૧૫તને ખબર છે કે, આસિયામાંના સઘળાએ મને છોડી દીધો છે; તેઓમાં ફુગિલસ તથા હેર્મોગેનેસ પણ છે.

16 The Lord giue mercie vnto the house of Onesiphorus: for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chaine,

૧૬પ્રભુ ઓનેસિફરસના કુટુંબ પર દયા કરો; કેમ કે તેણે વારે વારે મને ઉત્તેજન આપ્યું, અને મારાં બંધનને લીધે તે શરમાયો નહિ;

17 But when he was at Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.

૧૭પણ તે રોમમાં હતો ત્યારે સતત પ્રયત્નોથી મને શોધી કાઢીને તે મને મળ્યો.

18 The Lord graunt vnto him, that he may finde mercie with the Lord at that day, and in how many things he hath ministred vnto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

૧૮(પ્રભુ કરે કે તે દિવસે પ્રભુ તરફથી તેના પર કૃપા થાય); એફેસસમાં તેણે (મારી) અનહદ સેવા કરી છે તે તું સારી રીતે જાણે છે.
