2 Thessalonians 3
1 Furthermore, brethren, pray for vs, that the worde of the Lord may haue free passage and be glorified, euen as it is with you,
No demais, irmãos, rogae por nós, para que a palavra do Senhor tenha livre curso e seja glorificada, como tambem entre vós;
2 And that we may be deliuered from vnreasonable and euill men: for all men haue not fayth.
E para que sejamos livres de homens dissolutos e maus, porque a fé não é de todos.
3 But the Lord is faithfull, which wil stablish you, and keepe you from euill.
Mas fiel é o Senhor, que vos confortará, e guardará do maligno.
4 And we are perswaded of you through the Lord, that ye both doe, and will doe the things which we warne you of.
E confiamos de vós no Senhor que tambem fazeis e fareis o que vos mandamos.
5 And the Lord guide your hearts to the loue of God, and the waiting for of Christ.
Ora o Senhor encaminhe os vossos corações na caridade de Deus, e na paciencia de Christo.
6 We warne you, brethren, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ, that ye withdrawe your selues from euery brother that walketh inordinately, and not after the instruction, which hee receiued of vs.
Mandamo-vos, porém, irmãos, em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo, que vos aparteis de todo o irmão que andar desordenadamente, e não segundo a tradição que de nós recebeu.
7 For ye your selues know, how ye ought to follow vs: for we behaued not our selues inordinately among you,
Porque vós mesmos sabeis como convém imitar-nos, pois que não nos houvemos desordenadamente entre vós:
8 Neither tooke we bread of any man for nought: but we wrought with labour and trauaile night and day, because we would not be chargeable to any of you.
Nem de graça comemos o pão de nenhum, mas com trabalho e fadiga, trabalhando noite e dia, para não sermos pesados a nenhum de vós.
9 Not because we haue not authoritie, but that we might make our selues an ensample vnto you to follow vs.
Não porque não tivessemos auctoridade, mas para vos dar em nós mesmo exemplo, para nos imitardes.
10 For euen when we were with you, this we warned you of, that if there were any, which would not worke, that he should not eate.
Porque, quando ainda estavamos comvosco, vos mandámos isto, que, se alguem não quizer trabalhar, não coma tambem.
11 For we heare, that there are some which walke among you inordinately, and worke not at all, but are busie bodies.
Porque ouvimos que alguns entre vós andam desordenadamente, não trabalhando, antes fazendo coisas vãs.
12 Therefore them that are such, we warne and exhort by our Lord Iesus Christ, that they worke with quietnes, and eate their owne bread.
Aos taes, porém, mandamos, e admoestamos por nosso Senhor Jesus Christo, que, trabalhando com socego, comam o seu proprio pão.
13 And ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
E vós, irmãos, não vos canceis de fazer bem.
14 If any man obey not this our saying in this letter, note him, and haue no company with him, that he may be ashamed:
Porém, se alguem não obedecer á nossa palavra escripta n'esta carta, notae o tal, e não vos mistureis com elle, para que se envergonhe.
15 Yet count him not as an enemie, but admonish him as a brother.
Todavia não o tenhaes como inimigo, mas admoestae-o como irmão.
16 Now the Lord himselfe of peace giue you peace alwayes by all meanes. The Lord be with you all.
Ora o mesmo Senhor da paz vos dê sempre paz em toda a maneira. O Senhor seja com todos vós.
17 The salutation of me Paul, with mine owne hand, which is ye token in euery Epistle: so I write,
Saudação da minha propria mão, de mim, Paulo, que é o signal em todas as epistolas: assim escrevo.
18 The grace of our Lord Iesus Christ be with you all, Amen. ‘The second Epistle to the Thessalonians, written from Athens.’
A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo seja com todos vós. Amen.
