2 Samuel 7

1 Afterwarde when the King sate in his house and the Lord had giuen him rest rounde about from all his enemies,

Y aconteció que, estando ya el rey asentado en su casa, después que el SEÑOR le había dado reposo de todos sus enemigos en derredor,

2 The King saide vnto Nathan the Prophet, Beholde, nowe I dwel in an house of cedar trees, and the Arke of God remayneth within the curtaines.

dijo el rey al profeta Natán: Mira ahora, yo moro en casas de cedro, y el arca de Dios está entre cortinas.

3 Then Nathan sayde vnto the King, Go, and doe all that is in thine heart: for the Lord is with thee.

Y Natán dijo al rey: Anda, y haz todo lo que está en tu corazón, que el SEÑOR es contigo.

4 And the same night the worde of the Lord came vnto Nathan, saying,

Y aconteció aquella noche, que vino palabra del SEÑOR a Natán, diciendo:

5 Goe and tell my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord, Shalt thou buylde me an house for my dwelling?

Ve y di a mi siervo David: Así dijo el SEÑOR: ¿Tú me has de edificar casa en que yo more?

6 For I haue dwelt in no house since the time that I brought the children of Israel out of Egypt vnto this day, but haue walked in a tent and tabernacle.

Ciertamente no he habitado en casas desde el día que saqué a los hijos de Israel de Egipto hasta hoy, sino que anduve en tienda y en tabernáculo.

7 In al the places wherein I haue walked with all the children of Israel, spake I one worde with any of the tribes of Israel when I commanded the iudges to feede my people Israel? or sayde I, Why build ye not me an house of cedar trees?

Y en todo cuanto he andado con todos los hijos de Israel, ¿he hablado palabra en alguna de las tribus de Israel, a quien haya mandado que apaciente mi pueblo de Israel, para decir: ¿Por qué no me habéis edificado casa de cedros?

8 Nowe therefore so say vnto my seruant Dauid, Thus saieth the Lord of hostes, I tooke thee from the sheepecote following the sheepe, that thou mightest bee ruler ouer my people, ouer Israel.

Ahora pues, dirás así a mi siervo David: Así dijo el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: Yo te tomé de la majada, de detrás de las ovejas, para que fueses príncipe sobre mi pueblo, sobre Israel;

9 And I was with thee wheresoeuer thou hast walked, and haue destroyed all thine enemies out of thy sight, and haue made thee a great name, like vnto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

y he sido contigo en todo cuanto has andado, y delante de ti he talado todos tus enemigos, y te he hecho nombre grande, como el nombre de los grandes que son en la tierra.

10 (Also I will appoynt a place for my people Israel, and will plant it, that they may dwell in a place of their owne, and moue no more, neither shall wicked people trouble them any more as before time,

Además yo pondré lugar a mi pueblo Israel, y yo lo plantaré, para que habite en su lugar, y nunca más sea removido, ni los inicuos le aflijan más, como antes,

11 And since the time that I set Iudges ouer my people of Israel) and I will giue thee rest from al thine enemies: also the Lord telleth thee, that he will make thee an house.

desde el día que puse jueces sobre mi pueblo Israel. Y yo te daré descanso de todos tus enemigos. Asimismo el SEÑOR te hace saber, que él te quiere hacer casa a ti.

12 And when thy daies bee fulfilled, thou shalt sleepe with thy fathers, and I wil set vp thy seede after thee, which shall proceede out of thy body, and will stablish his kingdome.

Y cuando tus días fueren cumplidos, y durmieres con tus padres, yo afirmaré tu simiente después de ti, la cual procederá de tus entrañas, y afirmaré su reino.

13 He shall buyld an house for my Name, and I will stablish ye throne of his kingdome for euer.

El edificará casa a mi nombre, y yo afirmaré para siempre el trono de su reino.

14 I will be his father, and hee shall bee my sonne: and if he sinne, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the plagues of the children of men.

Yo le seré a el padre, y él me será a mí hijo. Y si él hiciere mal, yo le castigaré con vara de hombres, y con azotes de hijos de hombres;

15 But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I tooke it from Saul whome I haue put away before thee.

pero mi misericordia no se apartará de él, como la aparté de Saúl, al cual quité de delante de ti.

16 And thine house shall be stablished and thy kingdome for euer before thee, euen thy throne shalbe stablished for euer.

Y será afirmada tu casa y tu reino para siempre delante de tu rostro; y tu trono será firme eternalmente.

17 According to all these wordes, and according to all this vision, Nathan spake thus vnto Dauid.

Conforme a todas estas palabras, y conforme a toda esta visión, así habló Natán a David.

18 Then King Dauid went in, and sate before the Lord, and sayde, Who am I, O Lord God, and what is mine house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?

Y entró el rey David, y se sentó delante del SEÑOR, y dijo: Señor DIOS, ¿Quién soy yo, y qué es mi casa, para que tú me traigas hasta aquí?

19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord God, therefore thou hast spoken also of thy seruants house for a great while: but doth this appertaine to man, O Lord God?

Y aun te ha parecido poco esto, Señor DIOS, sino que hablas también de la casa de tu siervo en lo por venir, y que sea esta la condición de un hombre, Señor DIOS.

20 And what can Dauid say more vnto thee? for thou, Lord God, knowest thy seruant.

¿Y qué más puede añadir David hablando contigo? Tú pues conoces tu siervo, Señor DIOS.

21 For thy words sake, and according to thine owne heart hast thou done all these great things, to make them knowen vnto thy seruant.

Todas estas grandezas has obrado por tu palabra y conforme a tu corazón, haciéndolas saber a tu siervo.

22 Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God besides thee, according to all that wee haue heard with our eares.

Por tanto tú te has engrandecido, SEÑOR Dios; por cuanto no hay otro como tú, ni hay Dios fuera de ti, conforme a todo lo que hemos oído con nuestros oídos.

23 And what one people in the earth is like thy people, like Israel? whose God went and redeemed them to himselfe, that they might be his people, and that hee might make him a name, and do for you great things, and terrible for thy land, O Lord, euen for thy people, whome thou redeemedst to thee out of Egypt, from the nations, and their gods?

¿Y quién como tu pueblo, como Israel, en la tierra? Una gente por amor de la cual Dios fuese a redimírsela por pueblo, y le pusiese nombre, e hiciese con vosotros, grandes y espantosas obras en tu tierra, por causa de tu pueblo que tú te redimiste de Egipto, de los gentiles y de sus dioses.

24 For thou hast ordeyned to thy selfe thy people Israel to be thy people for euer: and thou Lord art become their God.

Porque tú te has confirmado a tu pueblo Israel por pueblo tuyo para siempre; y tú, oh SEÑOR, fuiste a ellos por Dios.

25 Nowe therefore, O Lord God, confirme for euer the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy seruant and his house, and doe as thou hast sayde.

Ahora pues, SEÑOR Dios, la palabra que has hablado sobre tu siervo y sobre su casa, despiértala eternalmente, y haz conforme a lo que has dicho.

26 And let thy Name bee magnified for euer by them that shall say, The Lord of hostes is the God ouer Israel: and let the house of thy seruant Dauid be stablished before thee.

Porque así será engrandecido tu nombre para siempre, para que se diga: El SEÑOR de los ejércitos es Dios sobre Israel; y que la casa de tu siervo David sea firme delante de ti.

27 For thou, O Lord of hostes, God of Israel, hast reueiled vnto thy seruant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy seruant bene bold to pray this prayer vnto thee.

Porque tú, SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, revelaste al oído de tu siervo, diciendo: Yo te edificaré casa. Por esto tu siervo ha hallado en su corazón para orar delante de ti esta oración.

28 Therefore now, O Lord God, (for thou art God, and thy words be true, and thou hast tolde this goodnes vnto thy seruant)

Ahora pues, SEÑOR Dios, tú eres Dios, y tus palabras serán firmes; pues has dicho a tu siervo este bien.

29 Therefore nowe let it please thee to blesse the house of thy seruant, that it may continue for euer before thee: for thou, O Lord God, hast spoken it: and let the house of thy seruant be blessed for euer, with thy blessing.

Ahora pues, quiere, y bendice a la casa de tu siervo, para que perpetuamente permanezca delante de ti; pues que tú, el SEÑOR Dios, lo has dicho, y con tu bendición será bendita la casa de tu siervo para siempre.
