2 Kings 9
1 Then Elisha the Prophet called one of ye children of the Prophets, and sayde vnto him, Gird thy loynes and take this boxe of oyle in thine hand and get thee to Ramoth Gilead.
Então o profeta Eliseu chamou a um dos filhos dos profetas, e disse-lhe: Cinge teus lombos, e toma esta vasilha de azeite em tua mão, e vai a Ramote de Gileade.
2 And when thou commest thither, looke where is Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat, the sonne of Nimshi, and go, and make him arise vp from among his brethren, and leade him to a secret chamber.
E quando chegares ali, verás ali a Jeú filho de Josafá filho de Ninsi; e entrando, faze-o se levantar dentre seus irmãos, e mete-o na recâmara.
3 Then take the boxe of oyle and powre it on his head, and say, Thus sayth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel. then open the doore, and flee without any tarying.
Toma logo a vasilha de azeite, e derrama-a sobre sua cabeça, e dize: Assim disse o SENHOR: Eu te ungi por rei sobre Israel. E abrindo a porta, lança-te a fugir, e não esperes.
4 So the seruat of ye Prophet gate him to Ramoth Gilead.
Foi, pois, o jovem, o jovem do profeta, a Ramote de Gileade.
5 And when he came in, behold, the captaines of the armie were sitting. And he sayde, I haue a message to thee, O captaine. And Iehu sayd, Vnto which of all vs? And he answered, To thee, O captaine.
E quando ele entrou, eis que os príncipes do exército que estavam sentados. E ele disse: Príncipe, uma palavra tenho que dizer-te. E Jeú disse: A qual de todos nós? E ele disse: A ti, príncipe.
6 And he arose, and went into the house, and he powred the oyle on his head and sayde vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, I haue anointed thee for King ouer the people of the Lord, euen ouer Israel.
E ele se levantou, e entrou-se em casa; e o outro derramou o azeite sobre sua cabeça, e disse-lhe: Assim disse o SENHOR Deus de Israel: Eu te ungi por rei sobre o povo do SENHOR, sobre Israel.
7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may auenge the blood of my seruants the Prophets, and the blood of al the seruants of the Lord of the hand of Iezebel.
E ferirás a casa de Acabe teu senhor, para que eu vingue o sangue de meus servos os profetas, e o sangue de todos os servos do SENHOR, da mão de Jezabel.
8 For the whole house of Ahab shalbe destroied: and I will cut off from Ahab, him that maketh water against the wall, as well him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel.
E perecerá toda a casa de Acabe, e exterminarei de Acabe todo macho, tanto ao escravo como ao livre em Israel.
9 And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the sonne of Ahiiah.
E eu porei a casa de Acabe como a casa de Jeroboão filho de Nebate, e como a casa de Baasa filho de Aías.
10 And the dogges shall eate Iezebel in the fielde of Izreel, and there shalbe none to burie her. And he opened the doore, and fled.
E a Jezabel comerão cães no campo de Jezreel, e não haverá quem a sepulte. Em seguida abriu a porta, e lançou a fugir.
11 Then Iehu came out to the seruants of his lord. And one sayd vnto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellowe to thee? And hee sayde vnto them, Ye knowe the man, and what his talke was.
Depois saiu Jeú aos servos de seu senhor, e disseram-lhe: Há paz? para que entrou a ti aquele louco? E ele lhes disse: Vós conheceis ao homem e suas palavras.
12 And they sayde, It is false, tell vs it nowe. Then he sayd, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saieth the Lord, I haue anointed thee for King ouer Israel.
E eles disseram: Mentira; declara-o a nós agora. E ele disse: Assim e assim me falou, dizendo: Assim disse o SENHOR: Eu te ungi por rei sobre Israel.
13 Then they made haste, and tooke euerie man his garment, and put it vnder him on the top of the staires, and blewe the trumpet, saying, Iehu is King.
Então tomaram prontamente sua roupa, e a pôs cada um debaixo dele em um trono alto, e tocaram trombeta, e disseram: Jeú é rei.
14 So Iehu ye sonne of Iehoshaphat the sonne of Nimshi conspired against Ioram: (Now Ioram kept Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael King of Aram.
Assim conjurou Jeú filho de Josafá filho de Ninsi, contra Jorão. (Estava Jorão guardando a Ramote de Gileade com todo Israel, por causa de Hazael rei da Síria.
15 And King Ioram returned to bee healed in Izreel of the woundes, which the Aramites had giuen him, when hee fought with Hazael King of Aram) and Iehu sayde, If it be your mindes, let no man depart and escape out of the citie, to goe and tell in Izreel.
Havia-se, porém, voltado o rei Jorão a Jezreel, para curar-se das feridas que os sírios lhe haviam feito, lutando contra Hazael rei da Síria.) E Jeú disse: Se é vossa vontade, ninguém escape da cidade, para ir a dar as novas em Jezreel.
16 So Iehu gate vp into a charet, and went to Izreel: for Ioram lay there, and Ahaziah King of Iudah was come downe to see Ioram.
Então Jeú cavalgou, e foi-se a Jezreel, porque Jorão estava ali enfermo. Também Acazias rei de Judá havia descido a visitar a Jorão.
17 And the watchman that stoode in the towre in Izreel spyed the companie of Iehu as hee came, and sayd, I see a companie. And Iehoram said, Take a horseman and send to meete them, that hee may say, Is it peace?
E o atalaia que estava na torre de Jezreel, viu a tropa de Jeú, que vinha, e disse: Eu vejo uma tropa. E Jorão disse: Toma um cavaleiro, e envia a reconhecê-los, e que lhes diga: Há paz?
18 So there went one on horseback to meete him, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu sayd, What hast thou to do with peace? Turne behinde me. And the watchman tolde, saying, The messenger came to them, but he commeth not againe.
Foi pois o cavaleiro a reconhecê-los, e disse: O rei diz assim: Há paz? E Jeú lhe disse: Que tens tu que ver com a paz? Sai da minha frente. O atalaia deu logo aviso, dizendo: O mensageiro chegou até eles, e não volta.
19 Then hee sent out another on horsebacke, which came to them, and sayde, Thus sayth the King, Is it peace? And Iehu answered, What hast thou to doe with peace? turne behinde me.
Então enviou outro cavaleiro, o qual chegando a eles, disse: O rei diz assim: Há paz? E Jeú respondeu: Que tens tu que ver com a paz? Sai da minha frente.
20 And the watchman tolde, saying, He came to them also, but commeth not againe, and the marching is like the marching of Iehu the sonne of Nimshi: for he marcheth furiously.
O atalaia voltou a dizer: Também este chegou a eles e não volta: mas o marchar do que vem é como o marchar de Jeú filho de Ninsi, porque vem impetuosamente.
21 Then Iehoram sayd, Make ready: and his charet was made ready. And Iehoram King of Israel and Ahaziah King of Iudah went out eyther of them in his charet against Iehu, and met him in the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite.
Então Jorão disse: Prepara. E preparado que foi seu carro, saiu Jorão rei de Israel, e Acazias rei de Judá, cada um em seu carro, e saíram a encontrar a Jeú, ao qual acharam na propriedade de Nabote de Jezreel.
22 And when Iehoram sawe Iehu, he sayde, Is it peace, Iehu? And he answered, What peace? whiles the whoredomes of thy mother Iezebel, and her witchcraftes are yet in great nomber?
E em vendo Jorão a Jeú, disse: Há paz, Jeú? E ele respondeu: Que paz, com as fornicações de Jezabel tua mãe, e suas muitas feitiçarias?
23 Then Iehoram turned his hand, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, O Ahaziah, there is treason.
Então Jorão virando a mão fugiu, e disse a Acazias: Traição, Acazias!
24 But Iehu tooke a bowe in his hande, and smote Iehoram betweene the shoulders, that the arowe went through his heart: and he fell downe in his charet.
Mas Jeú flechou seu arco, e feriu a Jorão entre as costas, e a seta saiu por seu coração, e caiu em seu carro.
25 Then said Iehu to Bidkar a captaine, Take, and cast him in some place of the fielde of Naboth the Izreelite: for I remember that when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the Lord layed this burden vpon him.
Disse logo Jeú a Bidcar seu capitão: Toma-o e lança-o em um lugar da propriedade de Nabote de Jezreel. Lembra-te que quando tu e eu íamos juntos com a gente de Acabe seu pai, o SENHOR pronunciou esta sentença sobre ele, dizendo:
26 Surely I haue seene yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sonnes, saide the Lord, and I will render it thee in this fielde, saith the Lord: nowe therefore take and cast him in the fielde, according to the word of the Lord.
Que eu vi ontem os sangues de Nabote, e os sangues de seus filhos, disse o SENHOR; e tenho de dar-te a paga nesta propriedade, disse o SENHOR. Toma-lhe pois agora, e lança-o na propriedade, conforme à palavra do SENHOR.
27 But when Ahaziah the King of Iudah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house: And Iehu pursued after him, and sayd, Smite him also in the charet: and they smote him in the going vp to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And hee fled to Megiddo, and there dyed.
E vendo isto Acazias rei de Judá, fugiu pelo caminho da casa da horta. E siguiu-o Jeú, dizendo: Feri também a este no carro. E lhe feriram à subida de Gur, junto a Ibleão. E ele fugiu a Megido, e morreu ali.
28 And his seruants caried him in a charet to Ierusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the citie of Dauid.
E seus servos lhe levaram em um carro a Jerusalém, e ali lhe sepultaram com seus pais, em seu sepulcro na cidade de Davi.
29 And in the eleuenth yere of Ioram the sonne of Ahab, began Ahaziah to reigne ouer Iudah.
No décimo primeiro ano de Jorão filho de Acabe, começou a reinar Acazias sobre Judá.
30 And when Iehu was come to Izreel, Iezebel heard of it, and painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a windowe.
Veio depois Jeú a Jezreel: e quando Jezabel o ouviu, adornou seus olhos, enfeitou sua cabeça, e ficou observando em uma janela.
31 And as Iehu entred at the gate, shee sayde, Had Zimri peace, which slewe his master?
E quando entrava Jeú pela porta, ela disse: Sucedeu bem a Zinri, que matou a seu senhor?
32 And he lift vp his eyes to the windowe, and sayd, Who is on my side, who? Then two or three of her Eunuches looked vnto him.
Levantando ele então seu rosto até a janela, disse: Quem é comigo? Quem? E olharam até ele dois ou três eunucos.
33 And he sayde, Cast her downe: and they cast her downe, and hee sprinkled of her blood vpon the wall, and vpon the horses, and he trode her vnder foote.
E ele lhes disse: Lançai-a abaixo. E eles a lançaram: e parte de seu sangue foi salpicado na parede, e nos cavalos; e ele a atropelou.
34 And when he was come in, he did eate and drinke, and sayde, Visite now yonder cursed woman, and burie her: for she is a Kings daughter.
Entrou logo, e depois que comeu e bebeu, disse: Ide agora a ver aquela maldita, e sepultai-a; que é filha de rei.
35 And they went to burie her, but they foud no more of her, then the skull and the feete, and the palmes of her handes.
Porém quando foram para sepultá-la, não acharam dela mais que o crânio, e os pés, e as palmas das mãos.
36 Wherefore they came agayne and tolde him. And he said, This is the worde of the Lord, which he spake by his seruant Eliiah the Tishbite, saying, In the fielde of Izreel shall ye dogs eate the flesh of Iezebel.
E voltaram, e disseram-no. E ele disse: A palavra de Deus é esta, a qual ele falou por meio de seu servo Elias Tisbita, dizendo: Na propriedade de Jezreel comerão os cães as carnes de Jezabel.
37 And the carkeis of Iezebel shalbe as doung vpon the ground in the field of Izreel, so that none shall say, This is Iezebel.
E o corpo de Jezabel foi qual lixo sobre a face da terra na herdade de Jezreel; de maneira que ninguém podia dizer: Esta é Jezabel.
