2 Kings 15
1 In the seuen and twentieth yeere of Ieroboam King of Israel, began Azariah, sonne of Amaziah King of Iudah to reigne.
I Kong Jeroboam af Israels syvogtyvende Regeringsaar blev Azarja, Amazjas Søn, Konge over Juda.
2 Sixteene yeere olde was he, when he was made King, and he reigned two and fiftie yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Iecholiah of Ierusalem.
Han var seksten Aar gammel, da han blev Konge, og han herskede to og halvtredsindstyve Aar i Jerusalem. Hans Moder hed Jekolja og var fra Jerusalem.
3 And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Amaziah did.

4 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered, and burned incense in the hie places.

5 And the Lord smote the King: and he was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt in an house apart, and Iotham the kings sonne gouerned the house, and iudged the people of the land.
Men HERREN ramte Kongen, saa han blev spedalsk til sin Dødedag; og han fik Lov at blive boende i sit Hus, medens Kongens Søn Jotam raadede i Paladset og dømte Folket i Landet.
6 Concerning the rest of the actes of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

7 So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the citie of Dauid, and Iotham his sonne reigned in his stead.
Saa lagde han sig til Hvile hos sine Fædre, og man jordede ham hos hans Fædre i Davidsbyen; og hans Søn Jotam blev Konge i hans Sted.
8 In the eyght and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah did Zachariah the sonne of Ieroboam reigne ouer Israel in Samaria sixe moneths,
I Kong Azarja af Judas otte og tredivte Regeringsaar blev Zekarja, Jeroboams Søn, Konge over Israel, og han herskede seks Maaneder i Samaria.
9 And did euill in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
Han gjorde, hvad der var ondt i HERRENS Øjne, ligesom hans Fædre, og han veg ikke fra de Synder, Jeroboam Nebats Søn, havde forledt Israel til.
10 And Shallum the sonne of Iabesh cospired against him, and smote him in the sight of the people, and killed him, and reigned in his stead.
Men Sjallum, Jabesj's Søn, stiftede en Sammensværgelse mod ham, huggede ham ned og dræbte ham i Jibleam og blev Konge i hans Sted.
11 Concerning the rest of the actes of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Hvad der ellers er at fortælle om Zekarja, staar optegnet i Israels Kongers Krønike.
12 This was the word of the Lord, which he spake vnto Iehu, saying, Thy sonnes shall sit on the throne of Israel vnto the fourth generation after thee. And it came so to passe.
Saaledes opfyldtes det Ord HERREN havde talet til Jehu, da han sagde: »Dine Sønner skal sidde paa Israels Trone indtil fjerde Led.« Saaledes gik det.
13 Shallum the sonne of Iabesh began to reigne in the nine and thirtieth yeere of Vzziah King of Iudah: and he reigned the space of a moneth in Samaria.
I Kong Uzzija af Judas ni og tredivte Regeringsaar blev Sjallum, Jabesj's Søn, Konge, og han herskede en Maaneds Tid i Samaria.
14 For Menahem the sonne of Gadi went vp from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the sonne of Iabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.
Da drog Menahem, Gadis Søn, op fra Tirza til Samaria, og der huggede han Sjallum, Jabesj's Søn, ned og dræbte ham og blev Konge i hans Sted.
15 Cocerning the rest of the acts of Shallum, and the treason which he wrought, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

16 Then Menahem destroyed Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coastes thereof from Tirzah, because they opened not to him, and he smote it, and ript vp all their women with childe.
Fra Tirza hærgede Menahem ved den Tid Tappua og alt, hvad der var deri, og hele dets Omraade, fordi de ikke havde aabnet Portene for ham; derfor hærgede han det og lod Livet rive op paa alle frugtsommelige Kvinder der.
17 The nine and thirtieth yeere of Azariah King of Iudah, beganne Menahem the sonne of Gadi to reigne ouer Israel, and reigned ten yeeres in Samaria.
I Kong Azarja af Judas ni og tredivte Regeringsaar blev Menahem, Gadis Søn, Konge over Israel, og han herskede ti Aar i Samaria.
18 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord, and departed not all his dayes from the sinne of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
Han gjorde, hvad der var ondt i HERRENS Øjne, og veg ikke fra nogen af de Synder, Jeroboam, Nebats Søn, havde forledt Israel til. I hans Dage
19 Then Pul the king of Asshur came against the land: and Menahem gaue Pul a thousand talents of siluer, that his hande might bee with him, and establish the kingdome in his hand.
faldt Kong Pul af Assyrien ind i Landet. Men Menahem gav Pul 1000 Talenter Sølv, for at han skulde støtte ham og sikre ham Magten;
20 And Menahem exacted the money in Israel, that all men of substance shoulde giue the King of Asshur fiftie shekels of siluer a piece: so the king of Asshur returned and taried not there in the land.
Menahem inddrev disse Penge hos Israel, hos alle de velhavende, halvtredsindstyve Sekel Sølv hos hver, for at udbetale dem til Assyrerkongen. Saa vendte Assyrerkongen hjem og blev ikke længer der i Landet.

Saa lagde Menahem sig til Hvile hos sine Fædre, og hans Søn Pekaja blev Konge i hans Sted.
23 In ye fiftieth yere of Azariah king of Iudah, began Pekahiah the sonne of Menahem to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned two yere.
I Kong Azarja af Judas halvtredsindstyvende Regeringsaar blev Pekaja, Menahems Søn, Konge over Israel, og han herskede to Aar i Samaria.
24 And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.
Han gjorde, hvad der var ondt i HERRENS Øjne, og veg ikke fra de Synder, Jeroboam, Nebats Søn, havde forledt Israel til.
25 And Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, his captaine conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria in the place of the Kings palace with Argob and Arieh, and with him fiftie men of the Gileadites: so he killed him, and reigned in his steade.
Men hans Høvedsmand Peka, Remaljas Søn, stiftede en Sammensværgelse mod ham, og fulgt af halvtredsindstyve gileaditiske Mænd huggede han ham ned i Samaria i Kongeborgen ...., og efter at have dræbt ham blev han Konge i hans Sted.

I Kong Azarja af Judas to og halvtredsindstyvende Regeringsaar blev Peka, Remaljas Søn, Konge over Israel, og han herskede tyve Aar i Samaria.
28 And he did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, that made Israel to sinne.
Han gjorde, hvad der var ondt i HERRENS Øjne, og veg ikke fra de Synder, Jeroboam, Nebats Søn, havde forledt Israel til.
29 In the dayes of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath Pileser king of Asshur, and tooke Iion, and Abel, Beth-maachah, and Ianoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilah, and all the land of Naphtali, and caryed them away to Asshur.
I Kong Peka af Israels Dage kom Assyrerkongen Tiglat-Pileser og indtog Ijjon, Abel-Bet-Ma'aka, Janoa, Kedesj, Hazor, Gilead og Galilæa, hele Naftalis Land, og førte Indbyggerne bort til Assyrien.
30 And Hoshea the sonne of Elah wrought treason against Pekah the sonne of Remaliah, and smote him, and slewe him, and reigned in his stead in the twentieth yeere of Iotham the sonne of Vzziah.
Men Hosea, Elas's Søn, stiftede en Sammensværgelse mod Peka, Remaljas Søn, huggede ham ned og dræbte ham; og han blev Konge i hans Sted i Jotams, Uzzijas Søns, tyvende Regeringsaar.

32 In the second yere of Pekah the sonne of Remaliah King of Israel, began Iotham sonne of Vzziah King of Iudah to reigne.
I Remaljas Søns, Kong Peka af Israels, andet Regeringsaar blev Jotam, Azarjas Søn, Konge over Juda.
33 Fiue and twentie yeere olde was he, when he began to reigne, and he reigned sixteene yeere in Ierusalem: and his mothers name was Ierusha the daughter of Zadok.
Han var fem og tyve Aar gammel, da han blev Konge, og han herskede seksten Aar i Jerusalem. Hans Moder hed Jerusja og var en Datter af Zadok.
34 And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord: he did according to all that his father Vzziah had done.
Han gjorde, hvad der var ret i HERRENS Øjne, ganske som hans Fader Uzzija.
35 But the hie places were not put away: for the people yet offered and burnt incense in the hie places: he buylt the hyest gate of the house of the Lord.
Kun forsvandt Offerhøjene ikke, men Folket blev ved med at ofre og tænde Offerild paa Højene. Det var ham, der lod Øvreporten i HERRENS Hus opføre.
36 Concerning the rest of the acts of Iotham, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the kings of Iudah?

37 In those dayes the Lord began to send against Iudah Rezin the king of Aram, and Pekah the sonne of Remaliah.
Paa den Tid begyndte HERREN at lade Kong Rezin af Aram og Peka, Remaljas Søn, angribe Juda.
38 And Iotham slept with his fathers, and was buryed with his fathers in the citie of Dauid his father, and Ahaz his sonne reigned in his steade.
Saa lagde Jotam sig til Hvile hos sine Fædre, og han blev jordet hos sine Fædre i sin Fader Davids By; og hans Søn Akaz blev Konge i hans Sted.
