2 Chronicles 5

1 So was all the worke finished that Salomon made for the house of the Lord, and Salomon brought in the things that Dauid his father had dedicated, with the siluer and the golde, and all the vessels, and put them among the treasures of the house of God.

Thus todo o trabalho que Salomão fez para a casa de Yahweh foi concluído. Salomão trouxe as coisas que David seu pai havia dedicado, até mesmo a prata, o ouro e todos os vasos, e os colocou nos tesouros da casa de Deus.

2 Then Salomon assembled the Elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chiefe fathers of the children of Israel vnto Ierusalem to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the citie of Dauid, which is Zion.

Então Salomão reuniu os anciãos de Israel e todos os chefes das tribos, os príncipes das famílias dos pais dos filhos de Israel, em Jerusalém, para trazer a arca da aliança de Iavé para fora da cidade de Davi, que é Sião.

3 And all ye men of Israel assembled vnto the King at the feast: it was in ye seuenth moneth.

Assim, todos os homens de Israel se reuniram ao rei na festa, que foi no sétimo mês.

4 And all the Elders of Israel came, and the Leuites tooke vp the Arke.

Todos os anciãos de Israel vieram. Os levitas ocuparam a arca.

5 And they caried vp the Arke and the Tabernacle of the Congregation: and all the holy vessels that were in the Tabernacle, those did the Priests and Leuites bring vp.

Eles levantaram a arca, a Tenda da Reunião e todos os vasos sagrados que estavam na Tenda. Os sacerdotes levíticos os trouxeram à tenda.

6 And King Salomon and all the Congregation of Israel that were assembled vnto him, were before ye Arke, offring sheepe and bullocks, which could not be told nor nobred for multitude.

O rei Salomão e toda a congregação de Israel que estava reunida a ele estavam diante da arca, sacrificando ovelhas e gado que não podiam ser contadas ou numeradas para a multidão.

7 So the Priests brought the Arke of the couenant of the Lord vnto his place, into the Oracle of the house, into the most Holy place, euen vnder the wings of the Cherubims.

Os sacerdotes trouxeram a arca da aliança de Iavé para seu lugar, para o santuário interior da casa, para o lugar santíssimo, mesmo sob as asas dos querubins.

8 For ye Cherubims stretched out their wings ouer the place of the Arke, and the Cherubims couered the Arke and the barres thereof aboue.

Pois os querubins estenderam suas asas sobre o lugar da arca, e os querubins cobriram a arca e seus postes acima.

9 And they drewe out the barres, that the endes of the barres might bee seene out of the Arke before the Oracle, but they were not seene without: and there they are vnto this day.

Os postes eram tão longos que as extremidades dos postes eram vistas da arca em frente ao santuário interior, mas não eram vistas do lado de fora; e está lá até hoje.

10 Nothing was in the Arke, saue the two Tables, which Moses gaue at Horeb, where the Lord made a couenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.

Não havia nada na arca, exceto as duas tábuas que Moisés colocou lá em Horeb, quando Javé fez um pacto com os filhos de Israel, quando eles saíram do Egito.

11 And when the Priestes were come out of the Sanctuarie (for all the Priests that were present, were sanctified and did not waite by course.

Quando os sacerdotes tinham saído do lugar santo (pois todos os sacerdotes que estavam presentes tinham se santificado e não mantinham suas divisões;

12 And the Leuites the singers of all sortes, as of Asaph, of Heman, of Ieduthun, and of their sonnes and of their brethren, being clad in fine linen, stoode with cymbales, and with violes and harpes at the East ende of the altar, and with them an hundreth and twentie Priestes blowing with trumpets:

also os levitas que eram os cantores, todos eles, até Asafe, Heman, Jeduthun, seus filhos e seus irmãos, vestidos de linho fino, com címbalos e instrumentos de cordas e harpas, estavam na extremidade leste do altar, e com eles cento e vinte sacerdotes tocando trombetas);

13 And they were as one, blowing trumpets, and singing, and made one sounde to bee heard in praysing and thanking the Lord, and when they lift vp their voyce with trumpets and with cymbales, and with instruments of musicke, and when they praysed the Lord, singing, For he is good, because his mercie lasteth for euer) then the house, euen the house of the Lord was filled with a cloude,

quando os trombeteiros e cantores eram como um só, para fazer um som a ser ouvido em louvor e agradecimento a Javé; e quando levantaram sua voz com as trombetas e címbalos e instrumentos de música, e elogiaram Javé, dizendo, “Pois ele é bom, pois sua bondade amorosa perdura para sempre”! então a casa foi preenchida com uma nuvem, até mesmo a casa de Javé,

14 So that the Priests could not stand to minister, because of the cloude: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.

para que os sacerdotes não suportassem ministrar por causa da nuvem; pois a glória de Javé encheu a casa de Deus.
