2 Chronicles 35

1 Moreouer Iosiah kept a Passeouer vnto the Lord in Ierusalem, and they slewe the Passeouer in the fourtenth day of the first moneth.

Kemudian Yosia merayakan Paskah bagi TUHAN di Yerusalem. Domba Paskah disembelih pada tanggal empat belas bulan yang pertama.

2 And he appointed the Priestes to their charges, and incouraged them to the seruice of the house of the Lord,

Ia menetapkan tugas para imam, dan mendorong mereka menunaikan tugas jabatannya dalam rumah TUHAN.

3 And he sayd vnto the Leuites that taught all Israel and were sanctified vnto the Lord, Put the holy Arke in the house which Salomon the sonne of Dauid King of Israel did build: it shalbe no more a burden vpon your shoulders: serue now the Lord your God and his people Israel,

Berkatalah ia kepada orang-orang Lewi yang adalah pengajar seluruh Israel dan orang-orang kudus TUHAN: "Tempatkanlah tabut kudus itu di dalam rumah yang telah didirikan Salomo bin Daud, raja Israel. Tidak usah lagi kamu mengusungnya. Sekarang layanilah TUHAN, Allahmu, dan Israel, umat-Nya!

4 And prepare your selues by the houses of your fathers according to your courses, as Dauid the King of Israel hath written, and according to the writing of Salomon his sonne,

Bersiaplah menurut puak-puakmu dan menurut rombonganmu sebagaimana yang dituliskan Daud, raja Israel, dan Salomo, anaknya.

5 And stande in the Sanctuarie according to the deuision of the families of your brethren the children of the people, and after the deuision of the familie of the Leuites:

Berdirilah di halaman tempat kudus menurut golongan puak saudara-saudaramu yang lain, yakni kaum awam, dengan satu rombongan puak orang Lewi untuk tiap golongan saudara-saudaramu itu.

6 So kill the Passeouer and sanctifie your selues, and prepare your brethren that they may doe according to the worde of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

Sembelihlah domba Paskah, kuduskanlah dirimu, dan adakanlah persiapan bagi saudara-saudaramu, supaya dilakukan apa yang difirmankan TUHAN dengan perantaraan Musa."

7 Iosiah also gaue to the people sheepe, lambs and kiddes, all for the Passeouer, euen to all that were present, to the nomber of thirtie thousand, and three thousande bullocks: these were of the Kings substance.

Yosia menyumbangkan kepada kaum awam sejumlah tiga puluh ribu ekor kambing domba, yakni domba-domba dan kambing-kambing jantan yang muda, semuanya sebagai korban Paskah bagi semua orang yang hadir. Selain itu disumbangkannya tiga ribu ekor lembu. Semuanya itu dari harta milik raja.

8 And his princes offred willingly vnto the people, to the Priests and to the Leuites: Hilkiah, and Zechariah, and Iehiel, rulers of the house of God, gaue vnto the Priests for the Passeouer, euen two thousand and sixe hundreth sheepe, and three hundreth bullockes.

Juga para panglimanya memberi sumbangan sukarela kepada rakyat, para imam, dan orang-orang Lewi. Kemudian Hilkia, Zakharia dan Yehiel, para pemuka rumah Allah, memberi kepada para imam dua ribu enam ratus ekor kambing domba sebagai korban Paskah dan selain itu tiga ratus ekor lembu.

9 Conaniah also and Shemaiah and Nethaneel his brethren, and Hashabiah and Ieiel, and Iozabad, chiefe of the Leuites gaue vnto the Leuites for the Passeouer, fiue thousand sheepe, and fiue hundreth bullockes.

Lalu Konanya dan kedua saudaranya, Semaya dan Netaneel, serta Hasabya, Yeiel dan Yozabad, para pemimpin orang-orang Lewi, menyumbangkan kepada orang-orang Lewi lima ribu ekor kambing domba sebagai korban Paskah dan selain itu lima ratus ekor lembu.

10 Thus the seruice was prepared, and the Priests stoode in their places, also the Leuites in their orders, according to the Kings commandement:

Setelah upacara ibadah disiapkan, berdirilah para imam pada tempatnya dan orang-orang Lewi menurut rombongannya sesuai dengan perintah raja.

11 And they slewe the Passeouer, and the Priests sprinkled the blood with their handes, and the Leuites flayed them.

Maka disembelihlah domba Paskah, dan para imam menyiramkan darah yang mereka terima dari orang-orang Lewi, sedang orang-orang Lewi menguliti domba itu.

12 And they tooke away from the burnt offering to giue it according to the deuisions of the families of the children of the people, to offer vnto the Lord, as it is written in the booke of Moses, and so of the bullockes.

Tetapi mereka memisahkan korban bakaran untuk diserahkan kepada kaum awam menurut golongan puak mereka, supaya dipersembahkan kepada TUHAN sebagaimana tertulis dalam kitab Musa. Demikian pula dilakukan mereka dengan lembu-lembu.

13 And they rosted the Passeouer with fire, according to ye custome, but the sanctified things they sod in pots, pannes, and cauldrons, and distributed them quickely to all the people.

Kemudian mereka memasak domba Paskah di atas api sesuai dengan peraturan, sedang persembahan-persembahan kudus mereka masak dalam kuali, belanga dan pinggan, lalu membawanya cepat-cepat kepada segenap kaum awam.

14 Afterwarde also they prepared for them selues and for the Priestes: for the Priestes the sonnes of Aaron were occupied in offering of burnt offrings, and the fat vntill night: therefore the Leuites prepared for them selues, and for the Priests the sonnes of Aaron.

Kemudian mereka menyediakannya bagi dirinya dan bagi para imam, karena para imam, yakni anak-anak Harun, sampai malam hari sibuk mempersembahkan korban bakaran dan segala lemak. Oleh sebab itu orang-orang Lewi menyediakannya bagi dirinya dan bagi para imam, yakni anak-anak Harun.

15 And the singers the sonnes of Asaph stoode in their standing according to the commandement of Dauid, and Asaph, and Heman, and Ieduthun the Kings Seer: and the porters at euery gate, who might not depart from their seruice: therefore their brethren the Leuites prepared for them.

Para penyanyi, yakni bani Asaf, ada pada tempat mereka sesuai dengan perintah Daud, Asaf, Heman dan Yedutun, pelihat raja itu; juga para penunggu pintu gerbang ada pada tiap-tiap pintu gerbang. Mereka tidak usah meninggalkan tugas mereka, karena saudara-saudara mereka, orang-orang Lewi, menyediakannya untuk mereka.

16 So all the seruice of the Lord was prepared the same day, to keepe the Passeouer, and to offer burnt offerings vpon the altar of the Lord, according to the commandement of King Iosiah.

Demikianlah seluruh upacara ibadah bagi TUHAN disiapkan pada hari itu untuk merayakan Paskah dan untuk mempersembahkan korban bakaran di atas mezbah TUHAN sesuai dengan perintah raja Yosia.

17 And the children of Israel that were present, kept the Passeouer the same time, and the feast of the vnleauened bread seuen dayes.

Pada waktu itu orang Israel yang hadir di situ merayakan Paskah dan hari raya Roti Tidak Beragi selama tujuh hari.

18 And there was no Passeouer kept like that, in Israel, from the dayes of Samuel the Prophet: neyther did all the Kings of Israel keepe such a Passeouer as Iosiah kept, and the Priestes and the Leuites, and all Iudah, and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem.

Paskah semacam itu tidak pernah lagi dirayakan di Israel sejak nabi Samuel. Seorangpun di antara raja-raja orang Israel tidak pernah merayakan Paskah seperti yang dirayakan Yosia dengan para imam dan orang-orang Lewi, dengan seluruh orang Yehuda dan Israel yang dapat hadir, dan dengan penduduk Yerusalem.

19 This Passeouer was kept in the eighteenth yeere of the reigne of Iosiah.

Paskah itu dirayakan pada tahun kedelapan belas pemerintahan Yosia.

20 After all this, when Iosiah had prepared the Temple, Necho King of Egypt came vp to fight against Carchemish by Perath, and Iosiah went out against him.

Kemudian dari pada semua ini, setelah Yosia memperbaiki rumah TUHAN, majulah Nekho, raja Mesir, hendak berperang di Karkemis di tepi sungai Efrat. Yosia keluar menghadapinya.

21 But he sent messengers to him, saying, What haue I to doe with thee, thou King of Iudah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house of mine enemie, and God commanded me to make haste: leaue of to come against God, which is with me, least he destroy thee.

Ia mengirim utusan kepada Yosia, dengan pesan: "Apakah urusanmu dengan aku, raja Yehuda? Saat ini aku tidak datang melawan engkau, tetapi melawan keluarga raja yang sedang kuperangi. Allah memerintahkan aku supaya segera bertindak. Hentikanlah niatmu menentang Allah yang menyertai aku, supaya engkau jangan dimusnahkan-Nya!"

22 But Iosiah would not turne his face from him, but changed his apparel to fight with him, and hearkened not vnto the wordes of Necho, which were of the mouth of God, but came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

Tetapi Yosia tidak berpaling dari padanya, melainkan menyamar untuk berperang melawan dia. Ia tidak mengindahkan kata-kata Nekho, yang merupakan pesan Allah, lalu berperang di lembah Megido.

23 And the shooters shot at king Iosiah: then the King saide to his seruants, Cary me away, for I am very sicke.

Maka pemanah-pemanah menembaki raja Yosia, dan raja berseru kepada orang-orangnya: "Bawa aku dari sini, karena aku luka parah!"

24 So his seruants tooke him out of that charet, and put him in the seconde charet which he had, and when they had brought him to Ierusalem, he dyed, and was buryed in the sepulchres of his fathers: and all Iudah and Ierusalem mourned for Iosiah.

Orang-orangnya mengangkatnya dari keretanya, lalu mengangkutnya dengan kereta cadangannya lalu membawanya ke Yerusalem. Kemudian matilah ia, lalu dikuburkan di pekuburan nenek moyangnya. Seluruh Yehuda dan Yerusalem berkabung karena Yosia.

25 And Ieremiah lamented Iosiah, and al singing men and singing women mourned for Iosiah in their lamentations to this day, and made the same for an ordinance vnto Israel: and beholde, they be written in the lamentations.

Yeremia membuat suatu syair ratapan mengenai Yosia. Dan sampai sekarang ini semua penyanyi laki-laki dan penyanyi perempuan menyanyikan syair-syair ratapan mengenai Yosia, dan mereka jadikan itu suatu kebiasaan di Israel. Semuanya itu tertulis dalam Syair-syair Ratapan.

26 Concerning the rest of the actes of Iosiah and his goodnesse, doing as it was written in the Lawe of the Lord,

Selebihnya dari riwayat Yosia dan perbuatan-perbuatannya yang saleh yang sesuai dengan yang ada tertulis dalam Taurat TUHAN,

27 And his deedes, first and last, behold, they are written in the booke of the Kings of Israel and Iudah.

yakni, riwayatnya dari awal sampai akhir, sesungguhnya semuanya itu tertulis dalam kitab raja-raja Israel dan Yehuda.
