2 Chronicles 26
1 Then all the people of Iudah tooke Vzziah, which was sixteene yeere olde, and made him King in the steade of his father Amaziah.
Und das ganze Volk von Juda nahm Ussija, der sechzehn Jahre alt war, und sie machten ihn zum König an seines Vaters Amazja Statt.
2 He buylt Eloth, and restored it to Iudah after that the King slept with his fathers.
Er baute Eloth und brachte es an Juda zurück, nachdem der König sich zu seinen Vätern gelegt hatte.
3 Sixteene yeere olde was Vzziah, when he began to reigne, and he reigned two and fiftie yere in Ierusalem, and his mothers name was Iecoliah of Ierusalem.
Sechzehn Jahre war Ussija alt, als er König wurde, und er regierte zweiundfünfzig Jahre zu Jerusalem; und der Name seiner Mutter war Jekolja, von Jerusalem.
4 And hee did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, according to al that his father Amaziah did.
Und er tat, was recht war in den Augen Jehovas, nach allem, was sein Vater Amazja getan hatte.
5 And he sought God in the dayes of Zechariah (which vnderstoode the visions of God) and when as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.
Und er suchte Gott in den Tagen Sekarjas, der kundig war in den Gesichten Gottes; und in den Tagen, da er Jehova suchte, gab Gott ihm Gelingen.
6 For he went forth and fought against the Philistims and brake downe the wall of Gath, and the wall of Iabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and built cities in Ashdod, and among the Philistims.
Und er zog aus und stritt wider sie Philister, und riß nieder die Mauer von Gath und die Mauer von Jabne und die Mauer von Asdod; und er baute Städte um Asdod her und unter den Philistern.
7 And God helped him against ye Philistims, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gur-baal and Hammeunim.
Und Gott half ihm wider die Philister und wider die Araber, die zu Gur-Baal wohnten, und wider die Meuniter.
8 And the Ammonites gaue gifts to Vzziah, and his name spred to the entring in of Egypt: for he did most valiantly.
Und die Ammoniter gaben Ussija Geschenke, und sein Name drang bis nach Ägypten hin; denn er war überaus stark geworden.
9 Moreouer Uzziah buylt towres in Ierusalem at the corner gate, and at the valley gate, and at the turning, and made them strong.
Und Ussija baute Türme in Jerusalem auf dem Ecktor und auf dem Taltor und auf dem Winkel, und befestigte sie.
10 And he built towres in the wildernesse, and digged many cisternes: for he had much cattell both in the valleyes and playnes, plowmen, and dressers of vines in the mountaines, and in Carmel: for he loued husbandrie.
Und er baute Türme in der Wüste und grub viele Zisternen; denn er hatte viel Vieh, sowohl in der Niederung als auch in der Ebene, und Ackerleute und Weingärtner im Gebirge und im Fruchtgefilde; denn er liebte den Ackerbau.
11 Vzziah had also an hoste of fighting men that went out to warre by bandes, according to the count of their nomber vnder the hande of Ieiel the Scribe, and Maaseiah the ruler, and vnder the hand of Hananiah, one of the Kings captaines.
Und Ussija hatte ein kriegführendes Heer, das in Scharen in den Kampf zog, nach der Zahl ihrer Musterung durch Jeghiel, den Schreiber, und Maaseja, den Vorsteher, unter der Leitung Hananjas, eines der Obersten des Königs.
12 The whole nomber of the chiefe of the families of the valiant men were two thousande and sixe hundreth.
Die ganze Zahl der Häupter der Väter der tapferen Helden war zweitausend sechshundert.
13 And vnder their hande was the armie for warre, three hundreth and seuen thousand, and fiue hundreth that fought valiantly to helpe the King against the enemie.
Und unter ihrer Leitung stand eine Heeresmacht von dreihundertsiebentausend fünfhundert Mann, welche den Krieg führte mit gewaltiger Kraft, um dem König wider den Feind beizustehen.
14 And Vzziah prepared them throughout all the hoste, shieldes, and speares, and helmets, and brigandines, and bowes, and stones to sling.
Und Ussija bereitete ihnen, dem ganzen Heere, Schilde und Lanzen und Helme und Panzer und Bogen und Schleudersteine.
15 He made also very artificial engins in Ierusalem, to be vpon the towres and vpon the corners, to shoote arrowes and great stones: and his name spred farre abroade, because God did helpe him marueilously, till he was mightie.
Und er machte zu Jerusalem Maschinen, ein Kunstwerk des Künstlers, daß sie auf den Türmen und auf den Zinnen sein sollten, um mit Pfeilen und mit großen Steinen zu schießen. Und sein Name ging aus bis in die Ferne; denn wunderbar ward ihm geholfen, bis er stark wurde.
16 But when he was strong, his heart was lift vp to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God, and went into the Temple of the Lord to burne incense vpon the altar of incense.
Und als er stark geworden war, erhob sich sein Herz, bis er verderbt handelte; und er handelte treulos gegen Jehova, seinen Gott, und trat in den Tempel Jehovas, um auf dem Räucheraltar zu räuchern.
17 And Azariah the Priest went in after him, and with him foure score Priests of the Lord, valiant men.
Da kam Asarja, der Priester, hinter ihm her, und mit ihm achtzig Priester Jehovas, wackere Männer;
18 And they withstoode Vzziah the King, and said vnto him, It perteineth not to thee, Vzziah, to burne incense vnto the Lord, but to the Priests the sonnes of Aaron, that are consecrated for to offer incense: goe forth of the Sanctuarie: for thou hast transgressed, and thou shalt haue none honour of the Lord God.
und sie widerstanden dem König Ussija und sprachen zu ihm: Nicht dir, Ussija, geziemt es, Jehova zu räuchern, sondern den Priestern, den Söhnen Aarons, die geheiligt sind zum Räuchern. Geh aus dem Heiligtum hinaus; denn du hast treulos gehandelt, und es wird dir nicht zur Ehre gereichen von Jehova Gott.
19 Then Vzziah was wroth, and had incense in his hand to burne it: and while he was wroth with the Priestes, the leprosie rose vp in his forehead before the Priestes in the house of the Lord beside the incense altar.
Aber Ussija wurde zornig; und er hatte in seiner Hand ein Räucherfaß zum Räuchern; und als er über die Priester erzürnte, da brach der Aussatz aus an seiner Stirn, angesichts der Priester im Hause Jehovas neben dem Räucheraltar.
20 And when Azariah the chiefe Priest with al the Priestes looked vpon him, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they caused him hastily to depart thence: and he was euen compelled to go out, because the Lord had smitten him.
Und Asarja, der Hauptpriester, und alle die Priester wandten sich zu ihm, und siehe, er war aussätzig an seiner Stirn, und die trieben ihn eilends von dannen fort; und auch er selbst beeilte sich hinauszukommen, weil Jehova ihn geschlagen hatte.
21 And Vzziah the king was a leper vnto the day of his death, and dwelt as a leper in an house apart, because he was cut off from the house of ye Lord: and Iotham his sonne ruled ouer the Kings house, and iudged the people of the land.
Und der König Ussija war aussätzig bis zum Tage seines Todes, und er wohnte in einem Krankenhause als Aussätziger; denn er war von dem Hause Jehovas ausgeschlossen. Und Jotham, sein Sohn, war über das Haus des Königs und richtete das Volk des Landes.
22 Concerning the rest of the acts of Vzziah, first and last, did Isaiah the Prophet the sonne of Amoz write.
Und das Übrige der Geschichte Ussijas, die erste und die letzte, hat Jesaja geschrieben, der Sohn Amoz', der Prophet.
23 So Vzziah slept with his fathers, and they buryed him with his fathers in the fielde of the burial, which perteined to the kings: for they said, He is a leper. And Iotham his sonne reigned in his steade.
Und Ussija legte sich zu seinen Vätern, und man begrub ihn bei seinen Vätern auf dem Begräbnisacker der Könige; denn man sprach: Er ist aussätzig. Und Jotham, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.
