2 Chronicles 12
1 And when Rehoboam had established the kingdome and made it strong, hee forsooke the Lawe of the Lord, and all Israel with him.
Ug nahitabo, nga sa natukod na ang gingharian ni Roboam, ug siya malig-on na, nga iyang gibiyaan ang Kasugoan ni Jehova, ug ang tibook Israel nunot kaniya.
2 Therefore in the fift yeere of King Rehoboam, Shishak the King of Egypt came vp against Ierusalem (because they had transgressed against the Lord)
Ug nahitabo sa ikalima ka tuig ni hari Roboam, nga si Sisac, hari sa Egipto misulong batok sa Jerusalem, tungod kay sila nanagpakalapas batok kang Jehova,
3 With twelue hundreth charets, and three score thousande horsemen, and the people were without nomber, that came with him from Egypt, euen the Lubims, Sukkiims, and the Ethiopians.
Uban ang napulo ug duha ka gatus ka carro, ug kan-uman ka libong mga tawo nga nanagkabayo. Ug ang katawohan nga ming-uban kaniya gikan sa Egipto wala maihap: ang mga Lebionon, ang mga Sukianhon ug ang mga Etiopiahanon.
4 And he tooke the strong cities which were of Iudah, and came vnto Ierusalem.
Ug nakuha niya ang mga kinutaang ciudad nga sakup sa Juda ug miadto sa Jerusalem.
5 Then came Shemaiah the Prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Iudah, that were gathered together in Hierusalem, because of Shishak, and sayde vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord, Ye haue forsaken me, therefore haue I also left you in the handes of Shishak.
Karon si Semeias ang manalagna miadto kang Roboam, ug ngadto sa mga principe sa Juda, nga nanagkatigum sa tingub ngadto sa Jerusalem tungod kang Sisac, ug miingon kanila: Kini mao ang giingon ni Jehova: Inyong gibiyaan ako, busa gibiyaan ko usab kamo diha sa kamot ni Sisac.
6 Then the princes of Israel, and the King humbled themselues, and sayde, The Lord is iust.
Unya ang mga principe sa Israel ug ang hari nanagpaubos sa ilang kaugalingon; ug sila ming-ingon: Si Jehova maoy matarung.
7 And when the Lord sawe that they humbled themselues, the worde of the Lord came to Shemaiah, saying, They haue humbled theselues, therefore I will not destroy them, but I will sende them deliuerance shortly, and my wrath shall not bee powred out vpon Ierusalem by the hand of Shishak.
Ug sa pagkakita ni Jehova nga sila nanagpaubos sa ilang kaugalingon, ang pulong ni Jehova midangat kang Semeias, nga nagaingon: Sila nanagpaubos sa ilang kaugalingon: dili ko pagalaglagon sila; apan ako magahatag kanila ug kaluwasan, ug ang akong kaligutgut dili ibubo sa ibabaw sa Jerusalem pinaagi sa kamot ni Sisac.
8 Neuerthelesse they shalbe his sernants: so shall they knowe my seruice, and the seruice of the kingdomes of the earth.
Bisan pa niini sila maiyang mga ulipon aron sila mahibalo sa akong pag-alagad ug sa pag-alagad sa mga gingharian sa kayutaan.
9 Then Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusalem, and tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house he tooke euen all, and hee caried away the shields of golde, which Salomon had made.
Busa si Sisac nga hari sa Egipto misulong batok sa Jerusalem, ug gikuha ang mga bahandi sa balay ni Jehova, ug ang mga bahandi sa balay sa hari; iyang gidala ang tanan: iya usab nga gikuha ang mga taming nga bulawan nga gihimo ni Salomon.
10 In stead whereof King Rehoboam made shieldes of brasse, and committed them to the handes of the chiefe of the garde, that wayted at the doore of the Kings house.
Ug si hari Roboam naghimo ug mga taming nga tumbaga nga ilis niana, ug gitugyan sila sa mga kamot sa mga capitan sa magbalantay, nga nagbantay sa pultahan sa balay sa hari.
11 And when the King entred into the house of the Lord, the garde came and bare them and brought them againe vnto the garde chamber.
Ug mao kadto, nga sa kanunay nga ang hari misulod sa balay ni Jehova, ang magbalantay misulod ug mibitbit kanila, ug gidala sila pag-usab ngadto sa lawak nga bantayanan.
12 And because hee humbled himselfe, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, that hee woulde not destroy all together. And also in Iudah the things prospered.
Ug sa diha nga siya nagpaubos sa iyang kaugalingon, ang kaligutgut ni Jehova mitipas gikan kaniya, aron sa dili paglaglag kaniya sa hingpit gayud: ug labut pa didto sa Juda may mga maayong butang nga hingkaplagan.
13 So King Rehoboam was strong in Ierusalem and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yeres in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel to put his Name there. And his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonitesse.
Busa si hari Roboam nagpalig-on sa iyang kaugalingon didto sa Jerusalem, ug naghari: kay si Roboam may kap-atan ug usa ka tuig ang panuigon sa pagsugod niya sa paghari, ug siya naghari sa napulo ug pito ka tuig didto sa Jerusalem, ang ciudad nga gipili ni Jehova gikan sa tanang mga banay sa Israel, aron ibutang ang iyang ngalan didto: ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Naama ang Ammonhanon.
14 And he did euill: for hee prepared not his heart to seeke the Lord.
Ug iyang gihimo kadtong kadautan, tungod kay wala niya ibutang ang iyang kasingkasing sa pagpangita kang Jehova.
15 The actes also of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the booke of Shemaiah the Prophet, and Iddo the Seer, in rehearsing the genealogie? and there was warre alway betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam.
Karon ang mga buhat ni Roboam, ang nahauna ug ang katapusan, wala ba sila mahisulat sa mga kasaysayana ni Semeias nga manalagna ug kang Iddo nga manalagna sumala sa batasan sa mga kaagi sa kagikanan? Ug may mga gubat sa taliwala ni Roboam ug ni Jeroboam sa kanunay.
16 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the citie of Dauid, and Abiiah his sonne reigned in his stead.
Ug si Roboam natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan, ug gilubong didto sa ciudad ni David: ug si Abias iyang anak nga lalake naghari ilis kaniya.
