2 Chronicles 1

1 Then Salomon the sonne of Dauid was confirmed in his kingdome: and the Lord his God was with him, and magnified him highly.

೧ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ಹೊಂದಿದನು. ಅವನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಲಾಢ್ಯನಾಗುವಂತೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ನಡೆಸಿದನು.

2 And Salomon spake vnto all Israel, to the captaines of thousandes, and of hundreths, and to the iudges, and to all the gouernours in all Israel, euen the chiefe fathers.

೨ಆಗ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೂ, ಸಹಸ್ರಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೂ, ಗೋತ್ರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾದವರೊಂದಿಗೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು.

3 So Salomon and all the Congregation with him went to the hie place that was at Gibeon: for there was the Tabernacle of the Congregation of God which Moses the seruant of the Lord had made in the wildernesse.

೩ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಸರ್ವಸಮೂಹದೊಡನೆ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇವದರ್ಶನದ ಗುಡಾರವು ಅಲ್ಲಿತ್ತು.

4 But the Arke of God had Dauid brought vp from Kiriath-iearim, when Dauid had made preparation for it: for he had pitched a tent for it in Ierusalem.

೪ದಾವೀದನು ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಕಿರ್ಯತ್ಯಾರೀಮಿನಿಂದ ತಾನು ಅದನ್ನಿರಿಸಲು ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದನು.

5 Moreouer the brasen altar that Bezaleel the sonne of Vri, the sonne of Hur had made, did hee set before the Tabernacle of the Lord: and Salomon and the Congregation sought it.

೫ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೂರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಊರಿಯ, ಈತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆಚಲೇಲನು ಮಾಡಿದ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಮುಂದಿತ್ತು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೂ ಆ ಸಮೂಹದವರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.

6 And Salomon offred there before the Lord vpon the brasen altar that was in the Tabernacle of the Congregation: euen a thousand burnt offrings offred he vpon it.

೬ಆಗ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ದೇವದರ್ಶನ ಗುಡಾರದ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇರುವ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.

7 The same night did God appeare vnto Salomon, and sayde vnto him, Aske what I shall giue thee.

೭ಅದೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನಗೆ, ಯಾವ ವರ ಬೇಕು ಕೇಳಿಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು

8 And Salomon sayde vnto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy vnto Dauid my father and hast made me to reigne in his stead.

೮ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಮಹಾ ದಯೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ನಾನು ಅರಸನಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

9 Nowe therefore, O Lord God, let thy promise vnto Dauid my father be true: for thou hast made mee King ouer a great people, like to the dust of the earth.

೯ಈಗ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವು ನೆರವೇರಲಿ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಧೂಳಿನಷ್ಟು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವಾದ ಜನಾಂಗದವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೀ.

10 Giue me now wisdome and knowledge, that I may go out and go in before this people: for who can iudge this thy great people?

೧೦ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಈ ಮಹಾ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಆಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಜ್ಞಾನ ವಿವೇಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

11 And God sayde to Salomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, treasures nor honour, nor the liues of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life, but hast asked for thee wisdome and knowledge that thou mightest iudge my people, ouer whome I haue made thee King,

೧೧ಆಗ ದೇವರು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ, “ಇದು ನಿನ್ನ ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದಲೂ ಘನವನ್ನೂ, ಧನವನ್ನೂ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಕೇಳದೆ, ನಾನು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಲು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆನೋ ಆ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ತೀರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ವಿವೇಕಗಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ, ವಿವೇಕವೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿವೆ.

12 Wisdome and knowledge is granted vnto thee, and I will giue thee riches and treasures and honour, so that there hath not bene the like among the Kings which were before thee, neither after thee shall there be the like.

೧೨ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಇದ್ದ ಅರಸುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂಥ, ನಿನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇರದಂಥ ಘನ, ಧನ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದನು.

13 Then Salomon came from the hie place, that was at Gibeon, to Ierusalem from before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and reigned ouer Israel.

೧೩ಆನಂತರ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ದೇವದರ್ಶನದ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಳಿದನು.

14 And Salomon gathered the charets and horesemen: and he had a thousand and foure hundreth charets, and twelue thousande horsemen, whome he placed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.

೧೪ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಾಹುತರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು. ಸಾವಿರದ ನಾನೂರು ರಥಗಳೂ ಮತ್ತು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಾವಿರ ರಾಹುತರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇವರನ್ನು ರಥದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಸನೊಂದಿಗೂ ಇರಿಸಿದನು. ಉಳಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ರಥಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದನು.

15 And the King gaue siluer and gold at Ierusalem as stones, and gaue cedar trees as the wilde figge trees, that are abundantly in the playne.

೧೫ಅರಸನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವು ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವು ಕಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಹಾಗು ದೇವದಾರು ಮರಗಳು ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅತ್ತಿಮರಗಳಂತೆ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

16 Also Salomon had horses brought out of Egypt and fine linen: the Kings marchants receiued the fine linen for a price.

೧೬ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯ ದೇಶದವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಅವನ ವರ್ತಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಡು ಹಿಂಡಾಗಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

17 They came vp also and brought out of Egypt some charet, worth sixe hundreth shekels of siluer, that is an horse for an hundreth and fiftie: and thus they brought horses to all the Kings of the Hittites, and to the Kings of Aram by their meanes.

೧೭ರಥಕ್ಕೆ ಆರುನೂರು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಂತೆ, ಕುದುರೆಗೆ ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿನಾಣ್ಯಗಳಂತೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವೇ ತರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
