1 Samuel 29
1 So the Philistims were gathered together with all their armies in Aphek: and the Israelites pitched by the fountaine, which is in Izreel.
E os filisteus juntaram todos os seus acampamentos em Afeque; e Israel pôs seu acampamento junto à fonte que está em Jezreel.
2 And the princes of the Philistims went foorth by hundreths and thousandes, but Dauid and his men came behinde with Achish.
E enquanto os príncipes dos filisteus revistavam suas tropas de centenas e de milhares de homens, Davi e os seus passavam na retaguarda com Aquis.
3 Then saide the princes of the Philistims, What doe these Ebrewes here? And Achish said vnto the princes of the Philistims, Is not this Dauid the seruant of Saul the King of Israel, who hath bene with me these dayes, or these yeeres, and I haue found nothing in him, since he dwelt with me vnto this day?
E disseram os príncipes dos filisteus: Que fazem aqui estes hebreus? E Aquis respondeu aos príncipes dos filisteus: Não é este Davi, o servo de Saul rei de Israel? Ele esteve comigo alguns dias ou alguns anos, e não achei coisa alguma nele desde o dia que ele veio a mim até hoje.
4 But the princes of the Philistims were wroth with him, and the princes of the Philistims said vnto him, Sende this fellow backe, that he may goe againe to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not goe downe with vs to battell, least that in the battell he be an aduersarie to vs: for wherewith should he obteine the fauour of his master? shoulde it not be with the heades of these men?
Então os príncipes dos filisteus se iraram contra ele, e disseram-lhe: Envia a este homem, que se volte ao lugar que lhe determinaste, e não venha conosco à batalha, não seja que na batalha se nos volte inimigo; pois com que coisa ele se reconciliaria com seu senhor, se não com as cabeças destes homens?
5 Is not this Dauid, of whome they sang in daunces, saying, Saul slewe his thousande, and Dauid his ten thousande?
Não é este Davi de quem cantavam nas danças, dizendo: Saul feriu seus milhares, E Davi seus dez milhares?
6 Then Achish called Dauid, and said vnto him, As the Lord liueth, thou hast bene vpright and good in my sight, when thou wentest out and in with mee in the hoste, neither haue I founde euill with thee, since thou camest to me vnto this day, but the princes doe not fauour thee.
E Aquis chamou a Davi, e disse-lhe: Vive o SENHOR, que tu foste reto, e que me pareceu bem tua saída e entrada no campo comigo, e que nenhuma coisa má achei em ti desde o dia que vieste a mim até hoje; mas aos olhos dos príncipes não agradas.
7 Wherefore nowe returne, and go in peace, that thou displease not the princes of the Philistims.
Volta-te, pois, e vai-te em paz; e não faças o mal aos olhos dos príncipes dos filisteus.
8 And Dauid said vnto Achish, But what haue I done? and what hast thou founde in thy seruant as long as I haue bene with thee vnto this day, that I may not goe and fight against the enemies of my lorde the King?
E Davi respondeu a Aquis: Que fiz? que achaste em teu servo desde o dia que estou contigo até hoje, para que eu não vá e lute contra os inimigos de meu senhor o rei?
9 Achish then answered, and said to Dauid, I knowe thou pleasest mee, as an Angell of God: but the princes of the Philistims haue saide, Let him not goe vp with vs to battell.
E Aquis respondeu a Davi, e disse: Eu sei que tu és bom em meus olhos, como um anjo de Deus; mas os príncipes dos filisteus disseram: Não venha conosco à batalha.
10 Wherefore now rise vp earely in the morning with thy masters seruants that are come with thee: and when ye be vp earely, assoone as ye haue light, depart.
Levanta-te, pois de manhã, tu e os servos de teu senhor que vieram contigo; e levantando-vos de manhã, logo ao amanhecer parti-vos.
11 So Dauid and his men rose vp earely to depart in the morning, and to returne into the lande of the Philistims: and the Philistims went vp to Izreel.
E levantou-se Davi de manhã, ele e os seus, para ir-se e voltar-se à terra dos filisteus; e os filisteus foram a Jezreel.
