1 Samuel 28
1 Nowe at that time the Philistims assembled their bandes and armie to fight with Israel: therfore Achish said to Dauid, Be sure, thou shalt go out with me to the battel, thou, and thy men.
Y aconteció que en aquellos días los filisteos juntaron sus campos para pelear contra Israel. Y dijo Aquis a David: Sabe de cierto que has de salir conmigo a campaña, tú y los tuyos.
2 And Dauid said to Achish, Surely thou shalt knowe, what thy seruant can doe. And Achish sayde to Dauid, Surely I will make thee keeper of mine head for euer.
Y David respondió a Aquis: Sabrás pues lo que hará tu siervo. Y Aquis dijo a David: Por tanto, te haré guarda de mi cabeza todos los días.
3 (Samuel was then dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah his owne citie: and Saul had put away the sorcerers, and the soothsayers out of the land)
Ya Samuel era muerto, y todo Israel lo había lamentado, y le habían sepultado en Ramá, en su ciudad. Y Saúl había echado de la tierra los encantadores y adivinos.
4 Then the Philistims assembled themselues, and came, and pitched in Shunem: and Saul assembled all Israel, and they pitched in Gilboa.
Pues cuando los filisteos se juntaron, vinieron y asentaron campamento en Sunem; y Saúl juntó a todo Israel, y asentaron campamento en Gilboa.
5 And when Saul saw the hoste of the Philistims, he was afraid, and his heart was sore astonied.
Y cuando vio Saúl el campamento de los filisteos, temió, y se turbó su corazón en gran manera.
6 Therefore Saul asked counsel of the Lord, and the Lord answered him not, neither by dreames, nor by Vrim, nor yet by Prophets.
Y consultó Saúl al SEÑOR; pero el SEÑOR no le respondió, ni por sueños, ni por Urim, ni por profetas.
7 Then saide Saul vnto his seruants, Seeke me a woman that hath a familiar spirite, that I may goe to her, and aske of her. And his seruants said to him, Beholde, there is a woman at En-dor that hath a familiar spirit.
Entonces Saúl dijo a sus criados: Buscadme alguna mujer que tenga espíritu de pitón, para que yo vaya a ella, y por medio de ella pregunte. Y sus criados le respondieron: He aquí hay una mujer en Endor que tiene espíritu de pitón.
8 Then Saul changed him selfe, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he saide, I pray thee, coniecture vnto me by the familiar spirite, and bring me him vp whome I shall name vnto thee.
Y se disfrazó Saúl, y se puso otros vestidos, y se fue con dos hombres, y vinieron a aquella mujer de noche; y él dijo: Yo te ruego que me adivines por el espíritu de pitón, y me hagas subir a quien yo te dijere.
9 And the woman saide vnto him, Beholde, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath destroyed the sorcerers, and the southsayers out of the land: wherefore then seekest thou to take me in a snare to cause me to die?
Y la mujer le dijo: He aquí tú sabes lo que Saúl ha hecho, cómo ha talado de la tierra las pitonisas y los adivinos; ¿por qué pues pones tropiezo a mi vida, para hacerme matar?
10 And Saul sware to her by the Lord, saying, As the Lord liueth, no harme shall come to thee for this thing.
Entonces Saúl le juró por el SEÑOR, diciendo: Vive el SEÑOR, que ningún mal te vendrá por esto.
11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring vp vnto thee? And he answered, Bring me vp Samuel.
La mujer entonces dijo: ¿A quién te haré venir? Y él respondió: Hazme venir a Samuel.
12 And when the woman sawe Samuel, she cryed with a loude voyce, and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceiued me? for thou art Saul.
Y viendo la mujer a Samuel, clamó en alta voz, y habló aquella mujer a Saúl, diciendo:
13 And the King said vnto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said vnto Saul, I saw gods ascending vp out of the earth.
¿Por qué me has engañado? que tú eres Saúl. Y el rey le dijo: No temas: ¿Qué has visto? Y la mujer respondió a Saúl: He visto dioses que suben de la tierra.
14 Then he said vnto her, What facion is hee of? And she answered, An olde man commeth vp lapped in a mantel: and Saul knewe that it was Samuel, and he enclined his face to the grounde, and bowed him selfe.
Y él le dijo: ¿Cuál es su forma? Y ella respondió: Un hombre anciano viene, cubierto de un manto. Saúl entonces entendió que era Samuel, y humillando el rostro a tierra, adoró.
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me vp? Then Saul answered, I am in great distresse: for the Philistims make warre against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by Prophetes, neither by dreames: therefore I haue called thee, that thou mayest tell me, what I shall doe.
Y Samuel dijo a Saúl: ¿Por qué me has inquietado haciéndome venir? Y Saúl respondió: Estoy muy acongojado; pues los filisteos pelean contra mí, y Dios se ha apartado de mí, y no me responde más, ni por mano de profetas, ni por sueños; por esto te he llamado, para que me declares qué tengo de hacer.
16 Then said Samuel, Wherefore then doest thou aske of me, seeing the Lord is gone from thee, and is thine enemie?
Entonces Samuel dijo: ¿Y para qué me preguntas a mí, habiéndose apartado de ti el SEÑOR, y es tu enemigo?
17 Euen the Lord hath done to him, as hee spake by mine hande: for the Lord will rent the kingdome out of thine hande, and giue it thy neighbour Dauid.
El SEÑOR, pues, ¡ha hecho como habló por mí mano! Pues ha cortado el SEÑOR el reino de tu mano, y lo ha dado a tu compañero David.
18 Because thou obeyedst not the voyce of the Lord, nor executedst his fierce wrath vpon the Amalekites, therefore hath the Lord done this vnto thee this day.
Como tú no escuchaste la voz del SEÑOR, ni cumpliste el furor de su ira sobre Amalec, por eso el SEÑOR te ha hecho esto hoy.
19 Moreouer the Lord wil deliuer Israel with thee into the handes of the Philistims: and to morowe shalt thou and thy sonnes be with me, and the Lord shall giue the hoste of Israel into the handes of the Philistims.
Y el SEÑOR entregará a Israel también contigo en manos de los filisteos; y mañana seréis conmigo, tú y tus hijos; y aun el campamento de Israel entregará el SEÑOR en manos de los filisteos.
20 Then Saul fell streight way all along on the earth, and was sore afraide because of the wordes of Samuel, so that there was no strength in him: for he had eaten no bread all the day nor all the night.
En aquel punto cayó Saúl en tierra cuan grande era, y tuvo gran temor por las palabras de Samuel; que no quedó en él esfuerzo ninguno, porque en todo aquel día y aquella noche no había comido pan.
21 Then the woman came vnto Saul, and sawe that he was sore troubled, and said vnto him, See, thine handmaide hath obeyed thy voyce, and I haue put my soule in mine hande, and haue obeyed thy wordes which thou saydest vnto me.
Entonces la mujer vino a Saúl, y viéndole en gran manera turbado, le dijo: He aquí que tu criada ha escuchado tu voz, y he puesto mi alma en mi mano, y he oído las palabras que tú me has dicho.
22 Now therefore, I pray thee, hearke thou also vnto ye voyce of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsell of bread before thee, that thou mayest eat and get thee strength, and go on thy iourney.
Te ruego, pues, que tú también oigas la voz de tu sierva; pondré yo delante de ti un bocado de pan que comas, para que te esfuerces, y vayas tu camino.
23 But he refused, and said, I will not eate: but his seruants and the woman together compelled him, and he obeyed their voyce: so he arose from the earth, and sate on the bed.
Y él lo rehusó, diciendo: No comeré. Mas sus criados juntamente con la mujer le constriñeron, y él les escuchó. Se levantó, pues, del suelo, y se sentó sobre una cama.
24 Nowe the woman had a fat calfe in the house, and she hasted, and killed it, and tooke floure and kneaded it, and baked of it vnleauened bread.
Y aquella mujer tenía en su casa un ternero grueso, el cual mató luego; y tomó harina y la amasó, y coció de ella panes sin levadura.
25 Then she brought them before Saul, and before his seruants: and when they had eaten, they stoode, and went away the same night.
Y lo trajo delante de Saúl y de sus criados; y luego que hubieron comido, se levantaron, y partieron aquella noche.
