1 Samuel 27

1 And Dauid said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: is it not better for me that I saue my selfe in the lande of the Philistims, and that Saul may haue no hope of me to seeke me any more in all the coastes of Israel, and so escape out of his hand?

Y dijo David en su corazón: Al fin seré cortado algún día por la mano de Saul, por tanto nada me será mejor que escaparme en la tierra de los Filisteos, para que Saul se deje de mí, y no me ande buscando más por todos los términos de Israel; y así me escaparé de sus manos.

2 Dauid therefore arose, and he, and the sixe hundreth men that were with him, went vnto Achish the sonne of Maoch King of Gath.

Y levantándose David pasóse él, y los seiscientos hombres que estaban con él, a Aquis, hijo de Maoc, rey de Get.

3 And Dauid dwelt with Achish at Gath, he, and his men, euery man with his housholde, Dauid with his two wiues, Ahinoam the Izreelite, and Abigail Nabals wife the Carmelite.

Y moró David con Aquis en Get, él y los suyos, cada uno con su familia, David y sus dos mujeres Aquinoam Jezraelita, y Abigail, la mujer de Nabal, él del Carmelo.

4 And it was tolde Saul that Dauid was fled to Gath: so he sought no more for him.

Y vino la nueva a Saul, que David se había huido a Get, y no le buscó más.

5 And Dauid saide vnto Achish, If I haue nowe founde peace in thine eyes, let them giue me a place in some other citie of the countrey, that I may dwell there: for why should thy seruant dwel in ye head citie of the kingdome with thee?

Y David dijo a Aquis: Si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, séame dado lugar en alguna de las ciudades de la tierra, donde habite: ¿por qué ha de morar tu siervo contigo en la ciudad real?

6 Then Achish gaue him Ziklag that same day: therefore Ziklag pertaineth vnto the kings of Iudah vnto this day.

Y Aquis le dio aquel día a Siceleg. De aquí fue Siceleg de los reyes de Judá hasta hoy.

7 And the time that Dauid dwelt in the countrey of the Philistims, was foure moneths and certaine dayes.

Y fue el número de los días que David habitó en la tierra de los Filisteos, cuatro meses, y algunos días.

8 Then Dauid and his men went vp, and inuaded the Geshurites, and the Girzites, and the Amalekites: for they inhabited the lande from the beginning, from the way, as thou goest to Shur, euen vnto the lande of Egypt.

Y subía David con los suyos, y hacían entradas en los Gessureos, y en los Gerzeos, y en los Amalecitas; porque estos habitaban la tierra de luengo tiempo, desde como van a Sur hasta la tierra de Egipto.

9 And Dauid smote the lande, and left neither man nor woman aliue, and tooke sheepe, and oxen, and asses, and camels, and apparell, and returned and came to Achish.

Y hería David la tierra, y no dejaba a vida hombre ni mujer: y llevábase las ovejas, y las vacas, y los asnos, y los camellos, y las ropas, y volvía, y se venía a Aquis.

10 And Achish said, Where haue ye bene a rouing this day? And Dauid answered, Against the South of Iudah, and against the South of the Ierahmeelites, and against the South of ye Kenites.

Y decía Aquis: ¿Dónde habéis corrido hoy? Y David decía: Al mediodía de Judá, y al mediodía de Jerameel, o contra el mediodía de Ceni.

11 And Dauid saued neither man nor woman aliue, to bring them to Gath, saying, Lest they should tel on vs, and say, So did Dauid, and so will be his maner all the while that he dwelleth in the countrey of the Philistims.

Ni hombre ni mujer dejaba a vida David, que viniese a Get, diciendo: Porque no den aviso de nosotros, diciendo: Esto hizo David. Y esta era su costumbre todo el tiempo que moró en tierra de los Filisteos.

12 And Achish beleeued Dauid, saying, He hath made his people of Israel vtterly to abhorre him: therefore he shalbe my seruant for euer.

Y Aquis creía a David, diciendo así: El se hace abominable en su pueblo de Israel; y así será siempre mi siervo.
