1 Samuel 19
1 Then Saul spake to Ionathan his sonne, and to all his seruantes, that they shoulde kill Dauid: but Ionathan Sauls sonne had a great fauour to Dauid.
| شائول به پسر خود یوناتان و همهٔ افرادش گفت که قصد دارد داوود را بکشد. اما یوناتان به خاطر محبتی که به داوود داشت او را از قصد پدرش آگاه ساخت و گفت: «فردا صبح مواظب خودت باش. خودت را در صحرا پنهان کن. |
2 And Ionathan told Dauid, saying, Saul my father goeth about to slay thee: nowe therefore, I pray thee, take heede vnto thy selfe vnto the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thy selfe.
3 And I will go out, and stand by my father in the fielde where thou art, and will commune with my father of thee, and I will see what he sayth, and will tell thee.
| من از پدرم می‌خواهم تا با من به صحرا بیاید. در آنجا راجع به تو با او صحبت می‌کنم و هر چه او بگوید به تو خواهم گفت.» |
4 And Ionathan spake good of Dauid vnto Saul his father, and said vnto him, Let not the King sinne against his seruat, against Dauid: for he hath not sinned against thee, but his works haue bene to thee very good.
| صبح روز بعد که یوناتان و پدرش با هم گفتگو می‌کردند، یوناتان از داوود تعریف کرد و خواهش نمود که به وی آسیبی نرساند و گفت: «او هرگز به تو آزاری نرسانده است بلکه همیشه به تو خوبی کرده است. |
5 For he did put his life in daunger, and slew the Philistim, and the Lord wrought a great saluation for al Israel: thou sawest it, and thou reioycedst: wherefore then wilt thou sinne against innocent blood, and slay Dauid without a cause?
| آیا فراموش کرده‌ای که او برای مبارزه با جُلیات، جان خود را به خطر انداخت و خداوند پیروزی بزرگی نصیب اسرائیل کرد؟ تو از این امر خوشحال بودی. حال چرا می‌خواهی دست خود را به خون بی‌گناهی که آزارش به تو نرسیده، آلوده سازی؟» |
6 Then Saul hearkened vnto the voyce of Ionathan, and Saul sware, As the Lord liueth, he shall not dye.
| شائول نظر یوناتان را پذیرفت و قسم خورده، گفت: «به خداوند زنده قسم که او را نخواهم کشت.» |
7 So Ionathan called Dauid, and Ionathan shewed him all those words, and Ionathan brought Dauid to Saul, and hee was in his presence as in times past.
| پس یوناتان، داوود را خواند و همه چیز را برای او تعریف کرد. بعد او را نزد پدرش برد و او مثل سابق نزد شائول ماند. |
8 Againe the warre began, and Dauid went out and fought with the Philistims, and slew them with a great slaughter, and they fled from him.
| طولی نکشید که دوباره جنگ درگرفت و داوود با سربازان خود به فلسطینی‌ها حمله برد و بسیاری را کشت و بقیه را فراری داد. |
9 And the euill spirit of the Lord was vpon Saul, as hee sate in his house hauing his speare in his hand, and Dauid played with his hand.
| روزی هنگامی که شائول نیزه به دست در خانه نشسته بود، روحی پلید از جانب خداوند بر او آمد. در حالی که داوود مشغول نواختن چنگ بود، |
10 And Saul intended to smite Dauid to the wall with the speare: but hee turned aside out of Sauls presence, and he smote the speare against the wall: but Dauid fled, and escaped the same night.
| شائول نیزه‌ای را که در دست داشت به طرف داوود پرتاب کرد تا او را بکشد. اما داوود خود را کنار کشید و نیزه به دیوار فرو رفت. داوود فرار کرد و خود را از دست او نجات داد. |
11 Saul also sent messengers vnto Dauids house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal Dauids wife told it him, saying, If thou saue not thy selfe this night, to morowe thou shalt be slayne.
| شائول سربازانی فرستاد تا مراقب خانهٔ داوود باشند و صبح که او بیرون می‌آید او را بکشند. میکال زن داوود به او خبر داده، گفت: «اگر امشب فرار نکنی فردا صبح کشته می‌شوی.» |
12 So Michal let Dauid downe through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
| پس داوود به کمک میکال از پنجره فرار کرد. |
13 Then Michal tooke an image, and layde it in the bed, and put a pillow stuffed with goates heare vnder the head of it, and couered it with a cloth.
| سپس میکال بُتی خانگی گرفته، در رختخواب گذاشت و بالشی از پشم بز زیر سرش نهاد و آن را با لحاف پوشاند. |
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take Dauid, she sayd, He is sicke.
| وقتی سربازان آمدند تا داوود را دستگیر کنند و پیش شائول ببرند، میکال به آنها گفت که داوود مریض است و نمی‌تواند از رختخوابش بیرون بیاید. |
15 And Saul sent the messengers againe to see Dauid, saying, Bring him to me in the bed, that I may slay him.
| ولی شائول دوباره سربازان را فرستاد تا او را با رختخوابش بیاورند تا او را بکشند. |
16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, an image was in the bed, with a pillow of goates heare vnder the head of it.
| وقتی سربازان آمدند تا داوود را ببرند، دیدند در رختخواب یک بُت خانگی با بالشی از پشم بُز در جای سرش است! |
17 And Saul said vnto Michal, Why hast thou mocked me so, and sent away mine enemie, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said vnto me, Let me go, or els I will kill thee.
| شائول به دخترش میکال گفت: «چرا مرا فریب دادی و گذاشتی دشمنم از چنگم بگریزد؟» میکال جواب داد: «مجبور بودم این کار را بکنم، چون او تهدید کرد که اگر کمکش نکنم مرا می‌کشد.» |
18 So Dauid fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him: and he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
| به این ترتیب، داوود فرار کرد و به رامه پیش سموئیل رفت. وقتی به آنجا رسید، هر چه شائول به وی کرده بود، برای سموئیل تعریف کرد. سموئیل داوود را با خود به نایوت برد و با هم در آنجا ماندند. |
19 But one tolde Saul, saying, Beholde, Dauid is at Naioth in Ramah.
| به شائول خبر دادند که داوود در نایوت رامه است، |
20 And Saul sent messengers to take Dauid: and when they sawe a company of Prophets prophecying, and Samuel standing as appoynted ouer them, the Spirit of God fell vpon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophecied.
| پس او مأمورانی فرستاد تا داوود را دستگیر کنند. اما مأموران وقتی رسیدند گروهی از انبیا را دیدند که به رهبری سموئیل نبوّت می‌کردند. آنگاه روح خدا بر آنها نیز آمد و ایشان هم شروع به نبوّت کردن نمودند. |
21 And when it was tolde Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophecied likewise: againe Saul sent the third messengers, and they prophecied also.
| وقتی شائول شنید چه اتفاقی افتاده است، سربازان دیگری فرستاد، ولی آنها نیز نبوّت کردند. شائول برای بار سوم سربازانی فرستاد و آنها نیز نبوّت کردند. |
22 Then went he himselfe to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu, and he asked, and sayd, Where are Samuel and Dauid? and one sayd, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
| سرانجام خود شائول به رامه رفت و چون به سر چاه بزرگی که نزد سیخوه است رسید، پرسید: «سموئیل و داوود کجا هستند؟» به او گفتند که در نایوت هستند. |
23 And he went thither, euen to Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came vpon him also, and he went prophecying vntill hee came to Naioth in Ramah.
| اما در بین راه نایوت، روح خدا بر شائول آمد و او نیز تا نایوت نبوّت کرد! |
24 And he stript off his clothes, and he prophesied also before Samuel, and fell downe naked all that day and all that night: therefore they say, Is Saul also among the Prophets?
| او جامهٔ خود را چاک زده، تمام آن روز تا شب برهنه افتاد و در حضور سموئیل نبوّت می‌کرد. وقتی مردم این را شنیدند گفتند: «آیا شائول هم نبی شده است؟» |
