1 Samuel 19
1 Then Saul spake to Ionathan his sonne, and to all his seruantes, that they shoulde kill Dauid: but Ionathan Sauls sonne had a great fauour to Dauid.
Saul aber redete mit seinem Sohn Jonathan und mit allen seinen Knechten, daß sie David sollten töten. Aber Jonathan, Sauls Sohn, hatte David sehr lieb;
2 And Ionathan told Dauid, saying, Saul my father goeth about to slay thee: nowe therefore, I pray thee, take heede vnto thy selfe vnto the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thy selfe.
und verkündigte es ihm und sprach: Mein Vater Saul trachtet danach, daß er dich töte. Nun, so bewahre dich morgen und bleibe verborgen und verstecke dich.
3 And I will go out, and stand by my father in the fielde where thou art, and will commune with my father of thee, and I will see what he sayth, and will tell thee.
Ich aber will herausgehen und neben meinem Vater stehen auf dem Felde, da du bist, und von dir mit meinem Vater reden; und was ich sehe, will ich dir kund tun.
4 And Ionathan spake good of Dauid vnto Saul his father, and said vnto him, Let not the King sinne against his seruat, against Dauid: for he hath not sinned against thee, but his works haue bene to thee very good.
Und Jonathan redete das Beste von David mit seinem Vater Saul und sprach zu ihm: Es versündige sich der König nicht an seinem Knechte David; denn er hat keine Sünde wider dich getan, und sein Tun ist dir sehr nütze;
5 For he did put his life in daunger, and slew the Philistim, and the Lord wrought a great saluation for al Israel: thou sawest it, and thou reioycedst: wherefore then wilt thou sinne against innocent blood, and slay Dauid without a cause?
und er hat sein Leben in seine Hand gesetzt und schlug den Philister, und der HERR tat ein groß Heil dem ganzen Israel. Das hast du gesehen und dich des gefreuet. Warum willst du dich denn an unschuldigem Blut versündigen, daß du David ohne Ursache tötest?
6 Then Saul hearkened vnto the voyce of Ionathan, and Saul sware, As the Lord liueth, he shall not dye.
Da gehorchte Saul der Stimme Jonathans und schwur: So wahr der HERR lebet, er soll nicht sterben!
7 So Ionathan called Dauid, and Ionathan shewed him all those words, and Ionathan brought Dauid to Saul, and hee was in his presence as in times past.
Da rief Jonathan David und sagte ihm alle diese Worte; und brachte ihn zu Saul, daß er vor ihm war wie vorhin.
8 Againe the warre began, and Dauid went out and fought with the Philistims, and slew them with a great slaughter, and they fled from him.
Es erhub sich aber wieder ein Streit; und David zog aus und stritt wider die Philister und tat eine große Schlacht, daß sie vor ihm flohen.
9 And the euill spirit of the Lord was vpon Saul, as hee sate in his house hauing his speare in his hand, and Dauid played with his hand.
Aber der böse Geist vom HERRN kam über Saul; und er saß in seinem Hause und hatte einen Spieß in seiner Hand; David aber spielte auf den Saiten mit der Hand.
10 And Saul intended to smite Dauid to the wall with the speare: but hee turned aside out of Sauls presence, and he smote the speare against the wall: but Dauid fled, and escaped the same night.
Und Saul trachtete, David mit dem Spieß an die Wand zu spießen. Er aber riß sich von Saul, und der Spieß fuhr in die Wand. David aber floh und entrann dieselbige Nacht.
11 Saul also sent messengers vnto Dauids house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal Dauids wife told it him, saying, If thou saue not thy selfe this night, to morowe thou shalt be slayne.
Saul sandte aber Boten zu Davids Haus, daß sie ihn bewahreten und töteten am Morgen. Das verkündigte dem David sein Weib Michal und sprach: Wirst du nicht diese Nacht deine Seele erretten, so mußt du morgen sterben.
12 So Michal let Dauid downe through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.
Da ließ ihn Michal durchs Fenster hernieder, daß er hinging, entfloh und entrann.
13 Then Michal tooke an image, and layde it in the bed, and put a pillow stuffed with goates heare vnder the head of it, and couered it with a cloth.
Und Michal nahm ein Bild und legte es ins Bett; und legte ein Ziegenfell zu seinen Häupten und deckte es mit Kleidern zu.
14 And when Saul sent messengers to take Dauid, she sayd, He is sicke.
Da sandte Saul Boten, daß sie David holeten. Sie aber sprach: Er ist krank.
15 And Saul sent the messengers againe to see Dauid, saying, Bring him to me in the bed, that I may slay him.
Saul aber sandte Boten, David zu besehen, und sprach: Bringet ihn herauf zu mir mit dem Bette, daß er getötet werde.
16 And when the messengers were come in, behold, an image was in the bed, with a pillow of goates heare vnder the head of it.
Da nun die Boten kamen, siehe, da lag das Bild im Bette und ein Ziegenfell zu seinen Häupten.
17 And Saul said vnto Michal, Why hast thou mocked me so, and sent away mine enemie, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said vnto me, Let me go, or els I will kill thee.
Da sprach Saul zu Michal: Warum hast du mich betrogen und meinen Feind gelassen, daß er entrinne? Michal sprach zu Saul: Er sprach zu mir: Laß mich gehen, oder ich töte dich!
18 So Dauid fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him: and he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
David aber entfloh und entrann; und kam zu Samuel gen Rama und sagte ihm an alles, was ihm Saul getan hatte. Und er ging hin mit Samuel, und blieben zu Najoth.
19 But one tolde Saul, saying, Beholde, Dauid is at Naioth in Ramah.
Und es ward Saul angesagt: Siehe, David ist zu Najoth in Rama.
20 And Saul sent messengers to take Dauid: and when they sawe a company of Prophets prophecying, and Samuel standing as appoynted ouer them, the Spirit of God fell vpon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophecied.
Da sandte Saul Boten, daß sie David holeten. Und sie sahen zween Chöre Propheten weissagen, und Samuel war ihr Aufseher. Da kam der Geist Gottes auf die Boten Sauls, daß sie auch weissagten.
21 And when it was tolde Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophecied likewise: againe Saul sent the third messengers, and they prophecied also.
Da das Saul ward angesagt, sandte er andere Boten, die weissagten auch. Da sandte er die dritten Boten, die weissagten auch.
22 Then went he himselfe to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu, and he asked, and sayd, Where are Samuel and Dauid? and one sayd, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.
Da ging er selbst auch gen Rama; und da er kam zum großen Brunnen, der zu Seku ist, fragte er und sprach: Wo ist Samuel und David? Da ward ihm, gesagt: Siehe, zu Najoth in Rama.
23 And he went thither, euen to Naioth in Ramah, and the Spirit of God came vpon him also, and he went prophecying vntill hee came to Naioth in Ramah.
Und er ging daselbst hin gen Najoth in Rama. Und der Geist Gottes kam auch auf ihn; und ging einher und weissagte, bis er kam gen Najoth in Rama.
24 And he stript off his clothes, and he prophesied also before Samuel, and fell downe naked all that day and all that night: therefore they say, Is Saul also among the Prophets?
Und er zog auch seine Kleider aus und weissagte auch vor Samuel; und fiel bloß nieder den ganzen Tag und die ganze Nacht. Daher spricht man: Ist Saul auch unter den Propheten?
