1 Peter 5
1 The elders which are among you, I beseech which am also an elder, and a witnesse of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shalbe reueiled,
१तुम में जो प्राचीन हैं, मैं उनके समान प्राचीन और मसीह के दुःखों का गवाह और प्रगट होनेवाली महिमा में सहभागी होकर उन्हें यह समझाता हूँ।
2 Feede the flocke of God, which dependeth vpon you, caring for it not by constraint, but willingly: not for filthy lucre, but of a ready minde:
२कि परमेश्वर के उस झुण्ड की, जो तुम्हारे बीच में है रखवाली करो; और यह दबाव से नहीं, परन्तु परमेश्वर की इच्छा के अनुसार आनन्द से, और नीच-कमाई के लिये नहीं, पर मन लगाकर।
3 Not as though ye were lords ouer Gods heritage, but that yee may bee ensamples to the flocke.
३जो लोग तुम्हें सौंपे गए हैं, उन पर अधिकार न जताओ, वरन् झुण्ड के लिये आदर्श बनो।
4 And when that chiefe shepheard shall appeare, ye shall receiue an incorruptible crowne of glory.
४और जब प्रधान रखवाला प्रगट होगा, तो तुम्हें महिमा का मुकुट दिया जाएगा, जो मुर्झाने का नहीं।
5 Likewise ye yonger, submit your selues vnto the elders, and submit your selues euery man, one to another: decke your selues inwardly in lowlinesse of minde: for God resisteth the proude, and giueth grace to the humble.
५हे नवयुवकों, तुम भी वृद्ध पुरुषों के अधीन रहो, वरन् तुम सब के सब एक दूसरे की सेवा के लिये दीनता से कमर बाँधे रहो, क्योंकि “परमेश्वर अभिमानियों का विरोध करता है, परन्तु दीनों पर अनुग्रह करता है।”
6 Humble your selues therefore vnder the mightie hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
६इसलिए परमेश्वर के बलवन्त हाथ के नीचे दीनता से रहो, जिससे वह तुम्हें उचित समय पर बढ़ाए।
7 Cast all your care on him: for he careth for you.
७अपनी सारी चिन्ता उसी पर डाल दो, क्योंकि उसको तुम्हारा ध्यान है।
8 Be sober, and watch: for your aduersarie the deuil as a roaring lyon walketh about, seeking whom he may deuoure:
८सचेत हो, और जागते रहो, क्योंकि तुम्हारा विरोधी शैतान गर्जनेवाले सिंह के समान इस खोज में रहता है, कि किसको फाड़ खाए।
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren which are in the world.
९विश्वास में दृढ़ होकर, और यह जानकर उसका सामना करो, कि तुम्हारे भाई जो संसार में हैं, ऐसे ही दुःख भुगत रहे हैं।
10 And the God of all grace, which hath called vs vnto his eternall glory by Christ Iesus, after that ye haue suffered a litle, make you perfite, confirme, strengthen and stablish you. (aiōnios g166)
१०अब परमेश्वर जो सारे अनुग्रह का दाता है, जिसने तुम्हें मसीह में अपनी अनन्त महिमा के लिये बुलाया, तुम्हारे थोड़ी देर तक दुःख उठाने के बाद आप ही तुम्हें सिद्ध और स्थिर और बलवन्त करेगा। (aiōnios g166)
११उसी का साम्राज्य युगानुयुग रहे। आमीन। (aiōn g165)
12 By Syluanus a faithfull brother vnto you, as I suppose, haue I written briefly, exhorting and testifying how that this is the true grace of God, wherein ye stand.
१२मैंने सिलवानुस के हाथ, जिसे मैं विश्वासयोग्य भाई समझता हूँ, संक्षेप में लिखकर तुम्हें समझाया है, और यह गवाही दी है कि परमेश्वर का सच्चा अनुग्रह यही है, इसी में स्थिर रहो।
13 The Church that is at Babylon elected together with you, saluteth you, and Marcus my sonne.
१३जो बाबेल में तुम्हारे समान चुने हुए लोग हैं, वह और मेरा पुत्र मरकुस तुम्हें नमस्कार कहते हैं।
14 Greete yee one another with the kisse of loue. Peace be with you all which are in Christ Iesus, Amen.
१४प्रेम से चुम्बन लेकर एक दूसरे को नमस्कार करो। तुम सब को जो मसीह में हो शान्ति मिलती रहे।
