1 Kings 9

1 When Salomon had finished the building of the house of ye Lord, and the kings palace, and all that Salomon desired and minded to do,

Kiedy Salomon ukończył budowę domu PANA i domu królewskiego oraz wszystkiego, czego pragnął i co chciał wykonać;

2 Then the Lord appeared vnto Salomon the second time, as he appeared vnto him at Gibeon.

PAN ukazał się Salomonowi po raz drugi, podobnie jak mu się ukazał w Gibeonie.

3 And the Lord sayd vnto him, I haue heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I haue halowed this house (which thou hast built) to put my Name there for euer, and mine eyes, and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

PAN przemówił do niego: Wysłuchałem twojej modlitwy i prośby, które zanosiłeś przede mną. Poświęciłem ten dom, który zbudowałeś, aby tam przebywało moje imię na wieki. Tam będą moje oczy i serce po wszystkie dni.

4 And if thou wilt walke before mee (as Dauid thy father walked in purenesse of heart and in righteousnesse) to doe according to al that I haue commanded thee, and keepe my statutes, and my iudgements,

A jeśli będziesz postępował wobec mnie tak, jak postępował twój ojciec Dawid, w doskonałości serca i prawości, i będziesz czynił wszystko, co ci nakazałem, i będziesz przestrzegał moich nakazów i praw;

5 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdome vpon Israel for euer, as I promised to Dauid thy father, saying, Thou shalt not want a man vpon the throne of Israel.

Wtedy utwierdzę tron twego królestwa nad Izraelem na wieki, jak obiecałem Dawidowi, twemu ojcu, mówiąc: Nie zabraknie ci potomka na tronie Izraela.

6 But if ye and your children turne away from mee, and wil not keepe my commandements, and my statutes (which I haue set before you) but go and serue other gods, and worship them,

Jeśli jednak wy lub wasi synowie zupełnie odwrócicie się ode mnie i nie będziecie strzec moich przykazań [i] nakazów, które wam dałem, ale pójdziecie służyć innym bogom, i będziecie im oddawać pokłon;

7 Then will I cutte off Israel from the lande, which I haue giuen them, and the house which I haue halowed for my Name, will I cast out of my sight, and Israel shall be a prouerbe, and a common talke among all people.

Wtedy wytracę Izraela z ziemi, którą mu dałem, a dom, który poświęciłem swojemu imieniu, odrzucę sprzed swojego oblicza. Izrael zaś będzie [przedmiotem] przypowieści i pośmiewiskiem u wszystkich narodów.

8 Euen this hie house shall bee so: euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hisse, and they shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this house?

A temu domowi, który był wyniosły, każdy przechodzący obok zdziwi się i świśnie. I będą pytać: Dlaczego PAN uczynił tak tej ziemi i temu domowi?

9 And they shall answere, Because they forsooke the Lord their God, which brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and haue taken holde vpon other gods, and haue worshipped them, and serued them, therfore hath the Lord brought vpon them all this euill.

Wtedy odpowiedzą: Ponieważ opuścili PANA, swego Boga, który wyprowadził ich ojców z ziemi Egiptu, a uchwycili się innych bogów, oddawali im pokłon i służyli im. Dlatego PAN sprowadził na nich całe to nieszczęście.

10 And at the ende of twentie yeeres, when Salomon had buylded the two houses, the house of the Lord, and the Kings palace,

A po upływie dwudziestu lat, w [czasie] których Salomon zbudował oba domy, dom PANA i dom królewski;

11 (For the which Hiram the King of Tyrus had brought to Salomon timber of cedar, and firre trees, and golde, and whatsoeuer he desired) then King Salomon gaue to Hiram twentie cities in the land of Galil.

([A] Hiram, król Tyru, dostarczał Salomonowi drzew cedrowych i drzew cyprysowych, i złota, ile tylko chciał), król Salomon dał Hiramowi dwadzieścia miast w ziemi galilejskiej.

12 And Hiram came out from Tyrus to see the cities which Salomon had giuen him, and they pleased him not.

Hiram wyruszył więc z Tyru, aby obejrzeć miasta, które dał mu Salomon, ale mu się nie spodobały.

13 Therefore hee sayde, What cities are these which thou hast giuen me, my brother? And hee called them the land of Cabul vnto this day.

I zapytał: Cóż to za miasta, które mi dałeś, mój bracie? I nazwał je ziemią Kabul, i [nazywają się tak] aż do dziś.

14 And Hiram had sent the King sixe score talents of gold.

Hiram bowiem posłał królowi sto dwadzieścia talentów złota.

15 And this is the cause of the tribute why King Salomon raised tribute, to wit, to builde the house of the Lord, and his owne house, and Millo, and the wall of Ierusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer.

A to [była] przyczyna poboru do robót, który król Salomon rozkazał na budowę domu PANA, swojego domu, Millo, muru Jerozolimy, Chasor, Megiddo i Gezer.

16 Pharaoh King of Egypt had come vp, and taken Gezer, and burnt it with fire, and slew the Canaanites, that dwelt in the citie, and gaue it for a present vnto his daughter Salomons wife.

Faraon [bowiem], król Egiptu, wyruszył i zdobył Gezer, i spalił je ogniem, a Kananejczyków, którzy mieszkali w tym mieście, wymordował, i dał je w posagu swojej córce, żonie Salomona.

17 (Therefore Salomon builte Gezer and Beth-horon the nether,

Salomon odbudował więc Gezer i Bet-Choron dolne;

18 And Baalath and Tamor in the wildernes of the land,

Baalat i Tadmor na pustyni w tej ziemi;

19 And all the cities of store, that Salomon had, euen cities for charets, and cities for horsemen, and all that Salomon desired and woulde build in Ierusalem, and in Lebanon and in all the land of his dominion)

I wszystkie miasta spichlerze, które należały do Salomona, miasta dla rydwanów i miasta dla jeźdźców [oraz wszystko], co Salomon pragnął wybudować w Jerozolimie, Libanie i całej ziemi swego panowania.

20 Al the people that were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hiuites, and Iebusites, which were not of the children of Israel:

Wszystkie ludy, które ocalały spośród Amorytów, Chetytów, Peryzzytów, Chiwwitów i Jebusytów, które nie były z synów Izraela;

21 To wit, their children that were left after them in the lande, whome the children of Israel were not able to destroy, those did Salomon make tributaries vnto this day.

[Mianowicie] potomstwo tych, którzy pozostali po nich w ziemi, których synowie Izraela nie mogli wytracić, Salomon obciążył pracą przymusową aż do dziś.

22 But of the children of Israel did Salomon make no bondmen: but they were men of warre and his seruants, and his princes, and his captaines, and rulers of his charets and his horsemen.

Lecz spośród synów Izraela Salomon nikogo nie uczynił niewolnikiem, byli tylko żołnierzami, jego sługami, dostojnikami, oficerami oraz dowódcami jego rydwanów i jeźdźców.

23 These were the princes of the officers, that were ouer Salomons worke: euen fiue hundreth and fiftie, and they ruled the people that wrought in the worke.

Naczelnych przełożonych, którzy nadzorowali pracę dla Salomona, [było] pięciuset pięćdziesięciu. Oni to kierowali ludźmi, którzy wykonywali pracę.

24 And Pharaohs daughter came vp from the citie of Dauid vnto the house which Salomon had built for her: then did he buylde Millo.

Gdy tylko córka faraona przeprowadziła się z miasta Dawida do swego domu, który jej zbudował [Salomon], wtedy zbudował Millo.

25 And thrise a yere did Salomon offer burnt offringes and peace offrings vpon the altar which he built vnto the Lord: and hee burnt incense vpon the altar that was before the Lord, when hee had finished the house.

Trzy razy w roku Salomon składał całopalenia i ofiary pojednawcze na ołtarzu, który zbudował dla PANA, a spalał kadzidło na [ołtarzu], który był przed PANEM. Tak ukończył dom.

26 Also King Salomon made a nauie of ships in Ezeon-geber, which is beside Eloth, and the brinke of the red Sea, in the land of Edom.

Król Salomon zbudował też okręty w Esjon-Geber koło Elat, nad brzegiem Morza Czerwonego, w ziemi Edomu.

27 And Hiram sent with the nauie his seruats, that were mariners, and had knowledge of the sea, with the seruants of Salomon.

I Hiram posłał na tych okrętach swoje sługi, żeglarzy obeznanych z morzem, razem ze sługami Salomona;

28 And they came to Ophir and sette from thence foure hundreth and twentie talents of gold, and brought it to King Salomon.

Przypłynęli oni do Ofiru i wzięli stamtąd czterysta dwadzieścia talentów złota, i przywieźli [je] do króla Salomona.
