1 Kings 11
1 Bvt King Salomon loued many outlandish women: both the daughter of Pharaoh, and the women of Moab, Ammon, Edom, Zidon and Heth,
Der König Salomo aber liebte vielerlei fremdländische Weiber, neben der Pharaotochter Moabitinnen, Ammonitinnen, Edomitinnen, Sidonierinnen, Chittiterinnen,
2 Of the nations, whereof the Lord had sayd vnto the children of Israel, Goe not ye in to them, nor let them come in to you: for surely they will turne your hearts after their gods, to them, I say, did Salomon ioyne in loue.
aus den Heidenvölkern, von denen der Herr den Israeliten gebot: "Ihr sollt nicht zu ihnen kommen, noch dürfen sie zu euch kommen! Sonst werden sie euer Herz zu ihren Göttern verführen!" An solchen hing Salomo mit Liebe.
3 And he had seuen hundreth wiues, that were princesses, and three hundreth concubines, and his wiues turned away his heart.
Er hatte 700 eigentliche Frauen und 300 Nebenweiber. Und seine Weiber verführten ihn.
4 For when Salomon was olde, his wiues turned his heart after other gods, so that his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of Dauid his father.
Als Salomo zu altern begann, verführten seine Weiber sein Herz zu anderen Göttern hin. Und sein Herz war nicht mehr ganz mit dem Herrn, seinem Gott, wie seines Vaters David Herz.
5 For Salomon followed Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.
So folgte Salomo der sidonischen Göttin Astoret und dem ammonitischen Scheusal Milkom.
6 So Salomon wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord, but continued not to follow the Lord, as did Dauid his father.
Und Salomo tat, was dem Herrn mißfiel, und folgte nicht bis zuletzt dem Herrn wie sein Vater David.
7 Then did Salomon build an hie place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, in the mountaine that is ouer against Ierusalem, and vnto Molech the abomination of the children of Ammon.
Damals baute Salomo eine Höhe für Kamos, Moabs Scheusal, auf dem Berge östlich von Jerusalem, und für das ammonitische Scheusal Moloch.
8 And so did he for all his outlandish wiues, which burnt incense and offered vnto their gods.
So tat er für alle fremdländischen Weiber, die ihren Göttern räucherten und opferten.
9 Therefore the Lord was angry with Salomon, because hee had turned his heart from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared vnto him twise,
Da zürnte der Herr über Salomo, weil sich sein Herz abgewandt hatte vom Herrn, dem Gott Israels, der ihm zweimal erschienen war.
10 And had giuen him a charge concerning this thing, that he should not follow other gods: but he kept not that, which the Lord had commanded him.
Und er hatte ihm dies verboten, anderen Göttern nachzugehen. Aber er hatte nicht gehalten, was der Herr ihm geboten hatte.
11 Wherefore the Lord sayd vnto Salomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my couenant, and my statutes (which I commanded thee) I will surely rent the kingdome from thee, and will giue it to thy seruant.
Darum sprach der Herr über Salomo: "Weil du dies im Sinn gehabt und meinen Bund und meine Vorschriften nicht eingehalten, die ich dir aufgetragen, darum entreiße ich dir nun das Königtum und gebe es deinem Knechte.
12 Notwithstanding in thy dayes I will not doe it, because of Dauid thy father, but I will rent it out of the hand of thy sonne:
Jedoch bei deinen Lebzeiten tue ich es nicht, um deines Vaters David willen. Doch deinem Sohn entreiße ich es.
13 Howbeit I wil not rent all the Kingdome, but will giue one tribe to thy sonne, because of Dauid my seruant, and because of Ierusalem which I haue chosen.
Doch nicht das ganze Reich entreiße ich ihm. Ich lasse deinem Sohne einen Stamm um meines Dieners David willen und wegen Jerusalems, das ich erwählt."
14 Then the Lord stirred vp an aduersarie vnto Salomon, euen Hadad the Edomite, of the Kings seede, which was in Edom.
Und der Herr stellte dem Salomo einen Widersacher auf im Edomiter Hadad aus königlichem Geschlecht zu Edom.
15 For when Dauid was in Edom, and Ioab the captaine of the hoste had smitten all the males in Edom, and was gone vp to bury ye slaine,
Damals als David Edom bestrafte und der Feldhauptmann Joab hinaufzog, die Erschlagenen zu begraben, und alle waffenfähigen Männer in Edom niederhieb
16 (For six moneths did Ioab remaine there, and all Israel, till he had destroyed all the males in Edom)
- denn Joab blieb sechs Monate dort mit ganz Israel, bis er alle waffenfähigen Männer in Edom ausgerottet hatte -,
17 Then this Hadad fled and certaine other Edomites of his fathers seruants with him, to goe into Egypt, Hadad being yet a litle childe.
da floh Hadad zusammen mit einigen Edomitern von seines Vaters Dienern nach Ägypten. Hadad aber war noch ein kleiner Knabe.
18 And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran, and tooke men with them out of Paran, and came to Egypt vnto Pharaoh King of Egypt, which gaue him an house, and appointed him vitailes, and gaue him lande.
Sie brachen aus Midian auf und kamen nach Paran. Aus Paran nahmen sie Leute mit sich und kamen nach Ägypten zu Pharao, Ägyptens König. Und er gab ihnen ein Haus und wies ihnen einen Unterhalt an. Auch Land gab er ihnen.
19 So Hadad found great fauour in the sight of Pharaoh, and he gaue him to wife the sister of his owne wife, euen the sister of Tahpenes the Queene.
Und Hadad fand viel Gunst bei Pharao. So gab er ihm die Schwester seines Weibes, die Schwester der Herrin Tachpenes, zum Weibe.
20 And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his sonne, whome Tahpenes wayned in Pharaohs house: and Genubath was in Pharaohs house among the sonnes of Pharaoh.
Die Schwester der Tachpenes gebar ihm seinen Sohn Genubat. Und Tachpenes gab ihm die erste Erziehung im Haus des Pharao. So blieb Genubat in Pharaos Haus inmitten der Söhne Pharaos.
21 And when Hadad heard in Egypt, that Dauid slept with his fathers, and that Ioab the captaine of the hoste was dead, Hadad sayde to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may goe to mine owne countrey.
Hadad hörte nun in Ägypten, David habe sich zu seinen Vätern gelegt und der Feldhauptmann Joab sei tot, da sprach Hadad zu Pharao: "Entlasse mich, daß ich in mein Land ziehe!"
22 But Pharaoh saide vnto him, What hast thou lacked with me, that thou wouldest thus go to thine owne countrey? And he answered, Nothing, but in any wise let me goe.
Da sprach Pharao zu ihm: "Was fehlt dir denn bei mir, daß du in dein Land zu ziehen suchst?" Er sagte: "Nichts. Aber entlasse mich!"
23 And God stirred him vp another aduersarie, Rezon the sonne of Eliada, which fled from his lorde Hadadezer King of Zobah.
Dann erweckte ihm Gott einen Widersacher in Eljadas Sohn Rezon, der von Hadadezer, seinem Herrn, dem König von Soba, entflohen war.
24 And he gathered men vnto him, and had bene captaine ouer the company, when Dauid slew them. And they went to Damascus, and dwelt there, and they made him King in Damascus.
Er sammelte Leute um sich und ward Oberster einer Streifschar, als David jene tötete. Sie zogen nach Damaskus und siedelten hier. Dann herrschten sie in Damaskus.
25 Therefore was he an aduersarie to Israel all the daies of Salomon: besides the euil that Hadad did, he also abhorred Israel, and reigned ouer Aram
So ward er Widersacher für Israel die ganze Zeit Salomos, wie das Unheil des Hadad. Er war Israel abgeneigt, solange er König über Aram war.
26 And Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat an Ephrathite of Zereda Salomons seruant (whose mother was called Zeruah a widowe) lift vp his hand against the King.
Jeroboam, Nebats Sohn, ein Ephratite von Hassereda, dessen Mutter, eine Witwe, Serua hieß, war ein Diener Salomos. Er aber empörte sich gegen den König.
27 And this was the cause that he lift vp his hande against the King, When Salomon built Millo, he repared the broken places of the citie of Dauid his father.
Dies ist der Grund, weshalb er die Hand gegen den König erhob. Salomo baute die Bastei und schloß die Lücke in seines Vaters David Stadt.
28 And this man Ieroboam was a man of strength and courage, and Salomon seeing that the yong man was meete for the worke, he made him ouerseer of all the labour of the house of Ioseph.
Der Mann Jeroboam aber war sehr tüchtig. Auch Salomo sah, daß der junge Mann ein tätiger Arbeiter war. Da machte er ihn zum Aufseher über allen Frondienst des Hauses Joseph.
29 And at that time, when Ieroboam went out of Ierusalem, the Prophet Ahiiah the Shilonite founde him in the way, hauing a newe garment on him, and they two were alone in ye field.
In jener Zeit ging Jeroboam aus Jerusalem. Da traf ihn unterwegs der Prophet Achia, der Silonite. Er aber war in einen neuen Mantel gehüllt, und die beiden waren allein auf dem Felde.
30 Then Ahiiah caught the newe garment that was on him, and rent it in twelue pieces,
Da faßte Achia den neuen Mantel, den jener anhatte, und zerriß ihn in zwölf Stücke.
31 And said to Ieroboam, Take vnto thee ten pieces: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Beholde, I wil rent the kingdome out of ye hands of Salomon, and will giue ten tribes to thee.
Dann sprach er zu Jeroboam: "Nimm dir zehn Stücke! Denn also spricht der Herr, Gott Israels: 'Siehe! Ich entreiße Salomo die Herrschaft und gebe dir zehn Stämme.
32 But he shall haue one tribe for my seruant Dauids sake, and for Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen out of all the tribes of Israel,
Nur ein Stamm wird ihm wegen meines Dieners David bleiben und um Jerusalems willen, der Stadt, die ich aus allen Stämmen Israels erwählt.
33 Because they haue forsaken me, and haue worshipped Ashtaroth the god of the Zidonians, and Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the Ammonites, and haue not walked in my wayes (to do right in mine eyes, and my statutes, and my lawes) as did Dauid his father.
Sie haben mich verlassen und Sidons Göttin, die Astoret, angebetet, den Moabitergötzen Kamos sowie den Ammonitergötzen Milkom und sind auf meinen Wegen nicht gewandelt, zu tun, was recht in meinen Augen, das heißt meine Vorschriften und Satzungen, gleich seinem Vater David;
34 But I will not take the whole kingdome out of his hande: for I will make him prince all his life long for Dauid my seruants sake, whome I haue chosen, and who kept my commandements and my statutes.
ich nehme ihm aber nicht die ganze Herrschaft weg; ich lasse ihn als Fürsten noch, solange er lebt, um meines Dieners David willen, den ich erwählt und der auch meine Vorschriften und Satzungen beachtet hat.
35 But I will take the kingdome out of his sonnes hand, and will giue it vnto thee, euen the ten tribes.
Doch seinem Sohne nehme ich das Reich und gebe dir es, die zehn Stämme.
36 And vnto his sonne will I giue one tribe, that Dauid my seruant may haue a light alway before me in Ierusalem the citie, which I haue chosen me, to put my Name there.
Nur einen Stamm noch lasse ich, seinem Sohne, daß meinem Diener David vor mir allezeit eine Leuchte bleibe in Jerusalem, der Stadt, die mir auserwählt, um meinen Namen darein zu setzen.
37 And I wil take thee, and thou shalt reigne, euen as thine heart desireth, and shalt be King ouer Israel.
Dich wähle ich. So herrsche ganz nach deinem Wunsche! Sei König über Israel!
38 And if thou hearken vnto all that I commande thee, and wilt walke in my wayes, and doe right in my sight, to keepe my statutes and my commandements, as Dauid my seruant did, then will I be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built vnto Dauid, and wil giue Israel vnto thee.
Gehorchst du in allem, was ich dir gebiete, und wandelst du auf meinen Wegen und tust, was recht in meinen Augen, und wahrst du meine Satzungen und Vorschriften, so wie mein Diener David einst getan, dann bin ich auch mit dir und baue dir ein Haus, so fest, wie ich es David auferbaut. Ich will dir Israel geben.
39 And I will for this afflict the seede of Dauid, but not for euer.
Dem Stamme Davids lege ich dazu Entbehrung auf, doch nicht für immer.'"
40 Salomon sought therefore to kill Ieroboam, and Ieroboam arose, and fled into Egypt vnto Shishak King of Egypt, and was in Egypt vntil the death of Salomon.
Salomo suchte nun Jeroboam zu töten. Jeroboam aber machte sich auf und floh nach Ägypten zu Ägyptens König Sisak. Und er blieb in Ägypten bis zu Salomos Tode.
41 And the rest of the wordes of Salomon, and all that he did, and his wisedom, are they not written in the booke of the actes of Salomon?
Ist nicht der Rest der Geschichte Salomos, alles, was er getan, und seine Weisheit, im Buche der Geschichte Salomos aufgezeichnet?
42 The time that Salomon reigned in Ierusalem ouer all Israel, was fourtie yeere.
Die Zeit, die Salomo in Jerusalem über ganz Israel regierte, betrug vierzig Jahre.
43 And Salomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the citie of Dauid his father: and Rehoboam his sonne reigned in his steade.
Salomo legte sich dann zu seinen Vätern und ward in der Stadt seines Vaters David begraben. Und sein Sohn Rechabeam ward an seiner Statt König.
