1 Corinthians 6
1 Dare any of you, hauing businesse against an other, be iudged vnder the vniust, and not vnder the Saintes?
૧તમારામાંના કોઈને બીજાની સામે તકરાર થઈ હોય, તો સંતોની આગળ ન જતા અવિશ્વાસીઓની આગળ ન્યાય માગવા જાય એ કેવું કહેવાય?
2 Doe ye not knowe, that the Saintes shall iudge the worlde? If the worlde then shalbe iudged by you, are ye vnworthie to iudge the smallest matters?
૨સંતો માનવજગતનો ન્યાય કરશે એ શું તમે જાણતા નથી? અને જો તમારાથી માનવજગતનો ન્યાય કરવામાં આવે તો શું તમે તદ્દન નજીવી તકરારોનો ચુકાદો કરવાને યોગ્ય નથી?
3 Knowe ye not that we shall iudge the Angels? howe much more, things that perteine to this life?
૩આપણે દૂતોનો ન્યાય કરીશું એ શું તમે જાણતા નથી? તો આ જિંદગીને લગતી બાબતોનો ન્યાય આપણે ના કરી શકીએ?
4 If then ye haue iudgements of things perteining to this life, set vp them which are least esteemed in the Church.
૪એ માટે જો તમારે આ જિંદગીની બાબતોનો ન્યાય કરવાનો હોય, તો વિશ્વાસી સમુદાયમાં જેઓને તમે ગણકારતા નથી તેઓને તમે ન્યાય કરવાને બેસાડો છો?
5 I speake it to your shame. Is it so that there is not a wise man among you? no not one, that can iudge betweene his brethren?
૫હું તમને શરમાવવાને માટે કહું છું. કે શું ભાઈ ભાઈની વચ્ચે ન્યાય કરી શકે, એવો એક પણ જ્ઞાની માણસ તમારામાં નથી?
6 But a brother goeth to law with a brother, and that vnder the infidels.
૬પણ અહીં તો ભાઈ પોતાના ભાઈ સામે ફરિયાદ કરે છે; અને તે વળી અવિશ્વાસીઓ સમક્ષ!
7 Nowe therefore there is altogether infirmitie in you, in that yee goe to lawe one with another: why rather suffer ye not wrong? why rather susteine yee not harme?
૭માટે હમણાં તમારામાં સાચે જ ગેરસમજ ઊભી થઈ છે, કે, તમે એકબીજા સામે ફરિયાદ કરો છો. એમ કરવાને બદલે તમે અન્યાય કેમ સહન કરતા નથી?
8 Nay, yee your selues doe wrong, and doe harme, and that to your brethren.
૮ઊલટાનું તમે અન્યાય કરો છો, તથા બીજાનું પડાવી લો છો, અને તે પણ તમારા ભાઈઓનું!
9 Knowe yee not that the vnrighteous shall not inherite the kingdome of God? Be not deceiued: neither fornicatours, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor wantons, nor buggerers,
૯શું તમે જાણતા નથી કે અન્યાયીઓ ઈશ્વરના રાજ્યનો વારસો પામશે નહિ? તમે ભૂલ ન કરો; વળી વ્યભિચારીઓ, મૂર્તિપૂજકો, લંપટો, વિષયીઓ તથા સજાતીય પુરુષ સંબંધ રાખનારાઓ,
10 Nor theeues, nor couetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners shall inherite the kingdome of God.
૧૦ચોરીઓ કરનાર, લોભીઓ, સ્વછંદી, નિંદા કરનારાઓ તથા જુલમથી પૈસા પડાવનારા, તેઓને ઈશ્વરના રાજ્યનો વારસો મળશે નહિ.
11 And such were some of you: but yee are washed, but yee are sanctified, but yee are iustified in the Name of the Lord Iesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
૧૧તમારામાંના કેટલાક એવા હતા, પણ તમે ઈસુ ખ્રિસ્તનાં નામે તથા આપણા ઈશ્વરના આત્માથી શુદ્ધ થયા, અને પવિત્રતા અને ન્યાયપણું પામ્યા છો.
12 All thinges are lawfull vnto mee, but all thinges are not profitable. I may doe all things, but I will not be brought vnder the power of any thing.
૧૨સઘળી વસ્તુઓની મને છૂટ છે. પણ એ બધી લાભકારક નથી. પણ હું તેમાંની કોઈથી નિયંત્રિત થવાનો નથી.
13 Meates are ordeined for the bellie, and the belly for the meates: but God shall destroy both it, and them. Nowe the bodie is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the bodie.
૧૩ખોરાક પેટને માટે છે અને પેટ ખોરાકને માટે છે. પણ ઈશ્વર બન્નેનો નાશ કરશે. હવે શરીર વ્યભિચારને માટે નહિ, પણ પ્રભુનો મહિમા કરવા માટે આપવામાં આવ્યું છે. અને પ્રભુ શરીરને માટે.
14 And God hath also raised vp the Lord, and shall raise vs vp by his power.
૧૪ઈશ્વરે ઈસુને સજીવન કર્યા છે, અને પોતાના પરાક્રમથી તે આપણને પણ મૃત્યુમાંથી સજીવન કરશે.
15 Knowe yee not, that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
૧૫આપણાં શરીરો ખ્રિસ્તનાં અંગો છે, એ શું તમે નથી જાણતા? ત્યારે શું હું ખ્રિસ્તનાં અંગોને વ્યભિચારિણીના અંગો બનાવું? એવું ન થાઓ.
16 Doe ye not knowe, that he which coupleth himselfe with an harlot, is one body? for two, sayeth he, shalbe one flesh.
૧૬શું તમે નથી જાણતા કે વ્યભિચારિણી સાથે જે જોડાય છે, તે તેની સાથે એક દેહ થાય છે? કેમ કે શાસ્ત્ર કહે છે કે, તેઓ એક દેહ થશે.
17 But hee that is ioyned vnto the Lord, is one spirite.
૧૭પણ પ્રભુની સાથે જે જોડાય છે તે તેમની સાથે એક આત્મા થાય છે.
18 Flee fornication: euery sinne that a man doeth, is without the bodie: but hee that committeth fornication, sinneth against his owne bodie.
૧૮વ્યભિચારથી નાસો, માણસ જે પાપ કરે તે શરીર બહારના છે; પણ વ્યભિચારી પોતાના શરીરની વિરુદ્ધ પાપ કરે છે.
19 Knowe yee not, that your body is the temple of the holy Ghost, which is in you, whom ye haue of God? and yee are not your owne.
૧૯શું તમે નથી જાણતા કે તમારામાં જે પવિત્ર આત્મા છે, જે તમને ઈશ્વર પાસેથી આપવામાં આવ્યો છે, તેમનું ભક્તિસ્થાન તમારું શરીર છે? અને તમે પોતાના નથી,
20 For yee are bought for a price: therefore glorifie God in your bodie, and in your spirit: for they are Gods.
૨૦કેમ કે મૂલ્ય ચૂકવીને તમને ખરીદવામાં આવ્યા છે. તેથી હવે તમારું શરીર અને તમારો આત્મા ઈશ્વરનાં છે, તમારાં શરીરો દ્વારા ઈશ્વરને મહિમા આપો.
