2 Kenan, Mahalaleel, Iered,
Cainan, Malaleel, Iared,
3 Henoch, Methushelah, Lamech,
Henoch, Mathusale, Lamech,
4 Noah, She, Ham, and Iapheth.
Noe, Sem, Cham, et Iaptheth.
5 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Filii Iapheth: Gomer, et Magog, et Madai, et Iavan, Thubal, Mosoch, Thiras.
6 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashchenaz, and Iphath and Togarmah.
Porro filii Gomer: Ascenez, et Riphath, et Thogorma.
7 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Filii autem Iavan: Elisa et Tharsis, Cethim et Dodanim.
8 The sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put and Canaan.
Filii Cham: Chus, et Mesraim, et Phut, et Chanaan.
9 And the sonnes of Cush, Siba and Hauilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. Also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Filii autem Chus: Saba, et Hevila, Sabatha, et Regma, et Sabathacha. Porro filii Regma: Saba, et Dadan.
10 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Chus autem genuit Nemrod: iste coepit esse potens in terra.
11 And Mizraim begate Ludim and Anamim, Lehabim, and Naphtuhim:
Mesraim vero genuit Ludim, et Anamim, et Laabim, et Nephtuim,
12 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim, of whome came the Philistims, and Caphtorim.
Phetrusim quoque, et Casluim: de quibus egressi sunt Philisthiim, et Caphtorim.
13 Also Canaan begate Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Chanaan vero genuit Sidonem primogenitum suum, Hethaeum quoque,
14 And the Iebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
et Iebusaeum, et Amorrhaeum, et Gergesaeum,
15 And the Hiuuite, and the Arkite, and the Simite,
Hevaeumque et Aracaeum, et Sinaeum.
16 And the Aruadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
Aradium quoque, et Samaraeum, et Hamathaeum.
17 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Vz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
Filii Sem: Aelam, et Assur, et Arphaxad, et Lud, et Aram, et Hus, et Hul, et Gether, et Mosoch.
18 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Arphaxad autem genuit Sale, qui et ipse genuit Heber.
19 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was ye earth deuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
Porro Heber nati sunt duo filii, nomen uni Phaleg, quia in diebus eius divisa est terra; et nomen fratris eius Iectan.
20 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazermaueth and Ierah,
Iectan autem genuit Elmodad, et Saleph, et Asarmoth, et Iare,
21 And Hadoram and Vzal and Diklah,
Adoram quoque, et Huzal, et Decla,
22 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Hebal etiam, et Abimael, et Saba, necnon
23 And Ophir, and Hauilah and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
et Ophir, et Hevila, et Iobab. omnes isti filii Iectan:
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah,
Sem, Arphaxad, Sale,
25 Eber, Peleg, Rehu,
Heber, Phaleg, Ragau,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
Serug, Nachor, Thare,
27 Abram, which is Abraham.
Abram, iste est Abraham.
28 The sonnes of Abraham were Izhak, and Ishmael.
Filii autem Abraham, Isaac et Ismahel.
29 These are their generations. The eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
Et hae generationes eorum. Primogenitus Ismahelis, Nabaioth, et Cedar, et Adbeel, et Mabsam,
30 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
et Masma, et Duma, Massa, Hadad, et Thema,
31 Ietur, Naphish and Kedemah: these are the sonnes of Ishmael.
Iachur, Naphis, Cedma. hi sunt filii Ismahelis.
32 And Keturah Abrahams concubine bare sonnes, Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah: and the sonnes of Iokshan, Sheba, and Dedan.
Filii autem Ceturae concubinae Abraham, quos genuit: Zamran, Iecsan, Madan, Madian, Iesboc, et Sue. Porro filii Iecsan: Saba, et Dadan. Filii autem Dadan: Assurim, et Latussim, et Laomim.
33 And the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Ephar, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah: All these are the sonnes of Keturah.
Filii autem Madian: Epha, et Epher, et Henoch, et Abida, et Eldaa. omnes hi, filii Ceturae.
34 And Abraham begate Izhak: the sonnes of Izhak, Esau, and Israel.
Genuit autem Abraham Isaac: cuius fuerunt filii Esau, et Israel.
35 The sonnes of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, and Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
Filii Esau: Eliphaz, Rahuel, Iehus, Ihelom, et Core.
36 The sonnes of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
Filii Eliphaz: Theman, Omar, Sephi, Gathan, Cenez, Thamna, Amalec.
37 The sonnes of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.
Filii Rahuel: Nahath, Zara, Samma, Meza.
38 And the sonnes of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
Filii Seir: Lotan, Sobal, Sebeon, Ava, Dison, Eser, Disan.
39 And the sonnes of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, and Timna Lotans sister.
Filii Lotan: Hori, Homam. Soror autem Lotan fuit Thamna.
40 The sonnes of Shobal were Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sonnes of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.
Filii Sobal: Alian, et Manahath, et Ebal, Sephi et Onam. Filii Sebeon: Aia et Ana. Filii Ana: Dison.
41 The sonne of Anah was Dishon. And the sonnes of Dishon, Amran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Filii Dison: Hamran, et Eseban et Iethran, et Charan.
42 The sonnes of Ezer were Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Iaakan. The sonnes of Dishon were Vz, and Aran.
Filii Eser: Balaan, et Zavan, et Iacan. Filii Disan: Hus et Aran.
43 And these were the Kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before a King reigned ouer the children of Israel, to wit, Bela the sonne of Beor, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
Isti sunt reges, qui imperaverunt in Terra Edom antequam esset rex super filios Israel: Bale filius Beor: et nomen civitatis eius, Denaba.
44 Then Bela died, and Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
Mortuus est autem Bale, et regnavit pro eo Iobab filius Zare de Bosra.
45 And whe Iobab was dead, Hussham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
Cumque et Iobab fuisset mortuus, regnavit pro eo Husam de Terra Themanorum.
46 And when Hussham was dead, Hadad the sonne of Bedad which smote Midian in the fielde of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
Obiit quoque et Husam, et regnavit pro eo Adad filius Badad, qui percussit Madian in Terra Moab: et nomen civitatis eius Avith.
47 So Hadad dyed, and Samlah of Mashrecah reigned in his stead.
Cumque et Adad fuisset mortuus, regnavit pro eo Semla de Masreca.
48 And Samlah dyed, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer reigned in his stead.
Sed et Semla mortuus est, et regnavit pro eo Saul de Rohoboth, quae iuxta amnem sita est.
49 And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his stead.
Mortuo quoque Saul, regnavit pro eo Balanan filius Achobor.
50 And Baal-hanan dyed, and Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pai, and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred the daughter of Mezahab.
Sed et hic mortuus est, et regnavit pro eo Adad: cuius urbis nomen fuit Phau, et appellata est uxor eius Meetabel filia Matred filiae Mezaab.
51 Hadad dyed also, and there were dukes in Edom, duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Ietheth,
Adad autem mortuo, duces pro regibus in Edom esse coeperunt: dux Thamna, dux Alva, dux Ietheth,
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
dux Oolibama, dux Ela, dux Phinon,
53 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
dux Cenez, dux Theman, dux Mabsar,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom.
dux Magdiel, dux Hiram. hi duces Edom.
