3 Henoch, Methushelah, Lamech,
Hénoc, Méthusélah, Lémec.
4 Noah, She, Ham, and Iapheth.
Noé, Sem, Cam, et Japheth.
5 The sonnes of Iapheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Iauan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Les enfants de Japheth furent, Gomer, Magog, Madaï, Javan, Tubal, Mésec, et Tiras.
6 And the sonnes of Gomer, Ashchenaz, and Iphath and Togarmah.
Les enfants de Gomer furent, Askenaz, Diphath, et Togarma.
7 Also the sonnes of Iauan, Elishah and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Et les enfants de Javan furent, Elisam, Tarsa, Kittim, et Rodanim.
8 The sonnes of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put and Canaan.
Les enfants de Cam furent, Cus, Mitsraïm, Put, et Canaan.
9 And the sonnes of Cush, Siba and Hauilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. Also the sonnes of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Et les enfants de Cus furent, Séba, Havila, Sabta, Rahma, et Sabteca. Et les enfants de Rahma furent, Séba et Dédan.
10 And Cush begate Nimrod, who began to be mightie in the earth.
Cus engendra aussi Nimrod, qui commença d'être puissant sur la terre.
11 And Mizraim begate Ludim and Anamim, Lehabim, and Naphtuhim:
Et Mitsraïm engendra Ludim, Hanamim, Léhabim, Naphtuhim,
12 Pathrusim also, and Casluhim, of whome came the Philistims, and Caphtorim.
Pathrusim, Casluhim ( desquels sont issus les Philistins), et Caphtorim.
13 Also Canaan begate Zidon his first borne, and Heth,
Et Canaan engendra Sidon son fils aîné, et Heth;
14 And the Iebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
Les Jébusiens, les Amorrhéens, les Guirgasiens,
15 And the Hiuuite, and the Arkite, and the Simite,
Les Héviens, les Harkiens, les Siniens,
16 And the Aruadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
Les Arvadiens, les Tsemariens, et les Hamathiens.
17 The sonnes of Shem were Elam and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Vz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.
Les enfants de Sem furent, Hélam, Assur, Arpacsad, Lud, Aram, Hus, Hul, Guéther, et Mésec.
18 Also Arpachshad begate Shelah, and Shelah begate Eber.
Et Arpacsad engendra Sélah, et Sélah engendra Héber.
19 Vnto Eber also were borne two sonnes: the name of the one was Peleg: for in his dayes was ye earth deuided: and his brothers name was Ioktan.
Et à Héber naquirent deux fils; l'un s'appelait Péleg, car en son temps la terre fut partagée; et son frère se nommait Joktan.
20 Then Ioktan begate Almodad and Sheleph, and Hazermaueth and Ierah,
Et Joktan engendra Almodad, Seleph, Hatsarmaveth, Jerah,
21 And Hadoram and Vzal and Diklah,
Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,
22 And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Hébal, Abimaël, Séba,
23 And Ophir, and Hauilah and Iobab: all these were the sonnes of Ioktan.
Ophir, Havila, et Jobab; tous ceux-là furent les enfants de Joktan.
24 Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah,
Sem, Arpacsad, Sélah,
25 Eber, Peleg, Rehu,
Héber, Péleg, Réhu,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
Serug, Nacor, Taré,
27 Abram, which is Abraham.
Et Abram, qui est Abraham.
28 The sonnes of Abraham were Izhak, and Ishmael.
Les enfants d'Abraham furent, Isaac et Ismaël.
29 These are their generations. The eldest sonne of Ishmael was Nebaioth, and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

30 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

31 Ietur, Naphish and Kedemah: these are the sonnes of Ishmael.
Jéthur, Naphis, et Kedma; ce sont là les enfants d'Ismaël.
32 And Keturah Abrahams concubine bare sonnes, Zimran, and Iokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah: and the sonnes of Iokshan, Sheba, and Dedan.
Quant aux enfants de Kétura concubine d'Abraham, elle enfanta Zimram, Joksan, Médan, Madian, Jisbak, et Suah; et les enfants de Joksan furent, Séba, et Dédan.
33 And the sonnes of Midian were Ephah, and Ephar, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah: All these are the sonnes of Keturah.
Et les enfants de Madian furent, Hépha, Hépher, Hanoc, Abidah, et Eldaha. Tous ceux-là furent les enfants de Kétura.
34 And Abraham begate Izhak: the sonnes of Izhak, Esau, and Israel.
Or Abraham avait engendré Isaac; et les enfants d'Isaac furent, Esaü, et Israël.
35 The sonnes of Esau were Eliphaz, Reuel, and Ieush, and Iaalam, and Korah.
Les enfants d'Esaü furent, Eliphaz, Réhuël, Jéhus, Jahlam, et Korah.
36 The sonnes of Eliphaz, Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
Les enfants d'Eliphaz furent, Téman, Omar, Tséphi, Gahtham, et Kénaz; et Timnah [lui enfanta] Hamalec.
37 The sonnes of Reuel, Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.
Les enfants de Réhuël furent, Nahath, Zérah, Samma, et Miza.
38 And the sonnes of Seir, Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
Et les enfants de Séhir furent, Lotan, Sobal, Tsibhon, Hana, Dison, Etser, et Disan.
39 And the sonnes of Lotan, Hori, and Homam, and Timna Lotans sister.
Et les enfants de Lotan furent, Hori, et Homam; et Timnah fut sœur de Lotan.
40 The sonnes of Shobal were Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sonnes of Zibeon, Aiah and Anah.
Les enfants de Sobal furent, Halian, Manahath, Hébal, Séphi, et Onam. Les enfants de Tsibhon furent, Aja, et Hana.
41 The sonne of Anah was Dishon. And the sonnes of Dishon, Amran, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Les enfants d'Hana furent, Dison. Les enfants de Dison furent, Hamram, Esban, Jitran, et Kéran.
42 The sonnes of Ezer were Bilhan, and Zaauan, and Iaakan. The sonnes of Dishon were Vz, and Aran.
Les enfants d'Etser furent, Bilhan, Zahavan et Jahakan. Les enfants de Dison furent, Huts, et Aran.
43 And these were the Kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before a King reigned ouer the children of Israel, to wit, Bela the sonne of Beor, and the name of his citie was Dinhabah.
Or ce sont ici les Rois qui ont régné au pays d'Edom, avant qu'aucun Roi régnât sur les enfants d'Israël; Bélah fils de Béhor, et le nom de sa ville était Dinhaba.
44 Then Bela died, and Iobab the sonne of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
Et Bélah mourut, et Jobab, fils de Perah de Botsra, régna en sa place.
45 And whe Iobab was dead, Hussham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.
Et Jobab mourut, et Husam, du pays des Témanites, régna en sa place.
46 And when Hussham was dead, Hadad the sonne of Bedad which smote Midian in the fielde of Moab, reigned in his steade, and the name of his citie was Auith.
Et Husam mourut, et Hadad fils de Bédad régna en sa place, qui défit Madian au territoire de Moab. Le nom de sa ville était Havith.
47 So Hadad dyed, and Samlah of Mashrecah reigned in his stead.
Et Hadad mourut, et Samla, de Masreka, régna en sa place.
48 And Samlah dyed, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the riuer reigned in his stead.
Et Samla mourut, et Saül, de Rehoboth du fleuve, régna en sa place.
49 And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the sonne of Achbor reigned in his stead.
Et Saül mourut, et Bahal-hanan de Hacbor régna en sa place.
50 And Baal-hanan dyed, and Hadad reigned in his stead, and the name of his citie was Pai, and his wiues name Mehetabel the daughter of Matred the daughter of Mezahab.
Et Bahal-hanan mourut, et Hadad régna en sa place. Le nom de sa ville était Pahi, et le nom de sa femme Mehetabéël, qui était fille de Matred, [et petite-]fille de Me-zahab.
51 Hadad dyed also, and there were dukes in Edom, duke Timna, duke Aliah, duke Ietheth,
Enfin Hadad mourut. Ensuite vinrent les Ducs d'Edom, le Duc Timna, le Duc Halia, le Duc Jétheth.
52 Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
Le Duc Aholibama, le Duc Ela, le Duc Pinon.
53 Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
Le Duc Kénaz, le Duc Téman, le Duc Mibtsar.
54 Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these were the dukes of Edom.
Le Duc Magdiël, et le Duc Hiram. Ce sont là les Ducs d'Edom.
