1 Chronicles 23
1 So when Dauid was olde and full of dayes, he made Salomon his sonne King ouer Israel.
Siendo, pues, David ya viejo y lleno de días, hizo a Salomón su hijo rey sobre Israel.
2 And hee gathered together all the princes of Israel with the Priestes and the Leuites.
Y juntando a todos los principales de Israel, y a los sacerdotes y levitas,
3 And the Leuites were numbred from ye age of thirtie yeere and aboue, and their nomber according to their summe was eight and thirtie thousand men.
fueron contados los levitas de treinta años arriba; y fue el número de ellos por sus cabezas, contados por varones, treinta y ocho mil.
4 Of these foure and twentie thousande were set to aduance the worke of the house of the Lord, and sixe thousand were ouerseers and iudges.
De éstos, veinticuatro mil para dar prisa a la obra de la Casa del SEÑOR; y gobernadores y jueces, seis mil;
5 And foure thousand were porters, and foure thousande praised the Lord with instruments which he made to praise the Lord.
además cuatro mil porteros; y cuatro mil para alabar al SEÑOR, con los instrumentos que David había hecho para rendir alabanzas.
6 So Dauid deuided offices vnto them, to wit, to the sonnes of Leui, to Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Y los repartió David en órdenes conforme a los hijos de Leví, y de Gersón, y de Coat, y de Merari.
7 Of the Gershonites were Laadan and Shimei.
Los hijos de Gersón: Laadán, y Simei.
8 The sonnes of Laadan, the chiefe was Iehiel, and Zetham and Ioel, three.
Los hijos de Laadán, tres: Jehiel el primero, Zetam y Joel.
9 The Sonnes of Shimei, Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haram, three: these were the chiefe fathers of Laadan.
Los hijos de Simei, tres: Selomit, Haziel, y Arán. Estos fueron los príncipes de las familias de Laadán.
10 Also the sonnes of Shimei were Iahath, Zina, Ieush, and Beriah: these foure were ye sonnes of Shimei.
Y los hijos de Simei: Jahat, Zina, Jeús, y Bería. Estos cuatro fueron los hijos de Simei.
11 And Iahath was the chiefe, and Zizah the seconde, but Ieush and Beriah had not many sonnes: therfore they were in the families of their father, counted but as one.
Jahat era el primero, Zina el segundo; mas Jeús y Bería no multiplicaron en hijos, por lo cual fueron contados por una familia.
12 The sonnes of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron aud Vzziel, foure.
Los hijos de Coat: Amram, Izhar, Hebrón, y Uziel, ellos cuatro.
13 The sonnes of Amram, Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated to sanctifie the most holy place, hee and his sonnes for euer to burne incense before the Lord, to minister to him, and to blesse in his Name for euer.
Los hijos de Amram: Aarón y Moisés. Y Aarón fue apartado para ser dedicado a las más santas cosas, él y sus hijos para siempre, para que quemasen incienso delante del SEÑOR, y le ministrasen, y bendijesen en su nombre, para siempre.
14 Moses also the man of God, and his children were named with the tribe of Leui.
Y los hijos de Moisés, varón de Dios, fueron contados en la tribu de Leví.
15 The sonnes of Moses were Gershom, and Eliezer,
Los hijos de Moisés fueron Gersón y Eliezer.
16 Of the sonnes of Gershom was Shebuel the chiefe.
Hijo de Gersón fue Sebuel el primero.
17 And the sonne of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chiefe: for Eliezer had none other sonnes: but the sonnes of Rehabiah were very many.
E hijo de Eliezer fue Rehabías el primero. Y Eliezer no tuvo otros hijos; mas los hijos de Rehabías fueron muchos.
18 The sone of Izhar was Shelomith ye chiefe.
Hijo de Izhar fue Selomit el primero.
19 The sonnes of Hebron were Ieriah the first, Amariah the second, Iahaziel the third, and Iekamiam the fourth.
Los hijos de Hebrón: Jerías el primero, Amarías el segundo, Jahaziel el tercero, y Jecamán el cuarto.
20 The sones of Vzziel were Michah the first, and Isshiah the second.
Los hijos de Uziel: Micaía el primero, e Isías el segundo.
21 The sonnes of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. The sonnes of Mahli, Eleazar and Kish.
Los hijos de Merari: Mahli y Musi. Los hijos de Mahli: Eleazar y Cis.
22 And Eleazar dyed, and had no sonnes, but daughters, and their brethren the sonnes of Kish tooke them.
Y murió Eleazar sin hijos, mas tuvo hijas; y los hijos de Cis, sus hermanos, las tomaron por mujeres.
23 The sonnes of Mushi were Mahli, and Eder, and Ierimoth, three.
Los hijos de Musi: Mahli, Eder y Jerimot, ellos tres.
24 These were the sonnes of Leui according to the house of their fathers, euen the chiefe fathers according to their offices, according to the nomber of names and their summe that did the worke for the seruice of the house of the Lord from the age of twentie yeeres and aboue.
Estos son los hijos de Leví en las familias de sus padres, cabeceras de familias en su censo, contados por sus nombres, por sus cabezas, los cuales hacían obra en el ministerio de la Casa del SEÑOR, de veinte años arriba.
25 For Dauid sayde, The Lord God of Israel hath giuen rest vnto his people, that they may dwell in Ierusalem for euer.
Porque David dijo: El SEÑOR ha dado reposo a su pueblo Israel, y habitará en Jerusalén para siempre.
26 And also the Leuites shall no more beare the Tabernacle and al the vessels for the seruice thereof.
Y también los levitas no llevarán más el tabernáculo, y todos sus vasos para su ministerio.
27 Therefore according to the last wordes of Dauid, the Leuites were nombred from twentie yeere and aboue,
Así que, conforme a las postreras palabras de David, fue la cuenta de los hijos de Leví de veinte años arriba.
28 And their office was vnder the hand of the sonnes of Aaron, for the seruice of the house of the Lord in the courtes, and chambers, and in the purifiyng of all holy thinges, and in the worke of the seruice of the house of God,
Y estaban bajo la mano de los hijos de Aarón, para ministrar en la Casa del SEÑOR, en los atrios y en las cámaras, y en la purificación de toda cosa santificada, y en la obra del ministerio de la Casa de Dios;
29 Both for the shewbread, and for the fine floure, for the meate offring, and for the vnleauened cakes, and for the fryed things, and for that which was rosted, and for all measures and cise,
Asimismo para los panes de la proposición, para la flor de la harina para el sacrificio, para las hojuelas sin levadura, para la fruta de sartén y para lo tostado, y para toda medida y cuenta;
30 And for to stand euery morning, to giue thanks and praise to the Lord, and likewise at euen,
y para que asistiesen cada mañana todos los días a confesar y alabar al SEÑOR, y asimismo a la tarde;
31 And to offer all burnt offrings vnto the Lord, in the Sabbaths, in the moneths, and at the appointed times, according to the nomber and according to their custome continually before the Lord,
y para ofrecer todos los holocaustos al SEÑOR los sábados, nuevas lunas, solemnidades por la cuenta y forma que tenían, continuamente delante del SEÑOR.
32 And that they should keepe the charge of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the charge of ye holy place, and the charge of ye sonnes of Aaron their brethren in the seruice of ye house of the Lord.
Y para que tuviesen la guarda del tabernáculo del testimonio, y la guarda del santuario, y la guarda de los hijos de Aarón sus hermanos, en el ministerio de la Casa del SEÑOR.
