1 Chronicles 18

1 And after this Dauid smote the Philistims, and subdued them, and tooke Gath, and the villages thereof out of the hand of the Philistims.

इसके बाद यूँ हुआ कि दाऊद ने फ़िलिस्तियों को मारा और उनको मग़लूब किया, और जात को उसके क़स्बों समेत फ़िलिस्तियों के हाथ से ले लिया।

2 And he smote Moab, and the Moabites became Dauids seruants, and brought giftes.

उसने मोआब को मारा, और मोआबी दाऊद के फ़रमाँबरदार हो गए और हदिए लाए।

3 And Dauid smote Hadarezer King of Zobah vnto Hamath, as he went to stablish his border by the riuer Perath.

दाऊद ने ज़ोबाह के बादशाह हदर'एलियाज़र को भी, जब वह अपनी हुकूमत दरिया — ए — फ़रात तक क़ाईम करने गया, हमात में मार लिया।

4 And Dauid tooke from him a thousand charets, and seuen thousand horsemen, and twentie thousand footemen, and destroyed all the charets, but he reserued of them an hundreth charets.

और दाऊद ने उससे एक हज़ार रथ और सात हज़ार सवार और बीस हज़ार प्यादे ले लिए, और उसने रथों के सब घोड़ों की नालें कटवा दीं, लेकिन उनमें से एक सौ रथों के लिए घोड़े बचा लिए।

5 Then came the Aramites of Damascus to succour Hadarezer King of Zobah, but Dauid slewe of the Aramites two and twentie thousand.

जब दमिश्क़ के अरामी ज़ोबाह के बादशाह हदर'एलियाज़र की मदद करने को आए, तो दाऊद ने अरामियों में से बाइस हज़ार आदमी क़त्ल किए।

6 And Dauid put a garison in Aram of Damascus, and the Aramites became Dauids seruants, and brought giftes: and the Lord preserued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.

तब दाऊद ने दमिश्क़ के अराम में सिपाहियों की चौकियाँ बिठाई, और अरामी दाऊद के फ़रमाँबरदार हो गए और हदिए लाए। और जहाँ कहीं दाऊद जाता ख़ुदावन्द उसे फ़तह बख़्शता था।

7 And Dauid tooke the shieldes of gold that were of the seruants of Hadarezer, and brought them to Ierusalem.

और दाऊद हदर'एलियाज़र के नौकरों की सोने की ढालें लेकर उनको येरूशलेम में लाया;

8 And from Tibhath, and from Chun (cities of Hadarezer) brought Dauid exceeding much brasse, wherewith Salomon made the brasen Sea, and the pillars and the vessels of brasse.

और हदर'एलियाज़र के शहरों, तिबखत और कून से दाऊद बहुत सा पीतल लाया, जिससे सुलेमान ने पीतल का बड़ा हौज़ और खम्भा और पीतल के बर्तन बनाए।

9 Then Tou King of Hamath heard howe Dauid had smitten all the hoste of Hadarezer King of Zobah:

जब हमात के बादशाह तू'ऊ ने सुना के दाऊद ने ज़ोबाह के बादशाह हदर'एलियाज़र का सारा लश्कर मार लिया,

10 Therefore he sent Hadoram his sonne to King Dauid, to salute him, and to reioyce with him, because he had fought against Hadarezer, and beaten him (for Tou had warre with Hadarezer) who brought all vessels of golde and siluer and brasse.

तो उसने अपने बेटे हदूराम को दाऊद बादशाह के पास भेजा ताकि उसे सलाम करे और मुबारक बाद दे, इसलिए के उसने जंग करके हदर'एलियाज़र को मारा क्यूँकि हदर'एलियाज़र तू'ऊ से लड़ा करता था, और हर तरह के सोने और चाँदी और पीतल के बर्तन उसके साथ थे।

11 And King Dauid did dedicate them vnto the Lord, with the siluer and golde that hee brought from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Philistims, and from Amalek.

इनकी भी दाऊद बादशाह ने उस चाँदी और सोने के साथ, जो उसने और सब क़ौमों या'नी अदोम और मोआब और बनी 'अम्मून और फ़िलिस्तियों और 'अमालीक से लिया था, ख़ुदावन्द को नज़्र किया।

12 And Abishai the sonne of Zeruiah smote of Edom in the salt valley eighteene thousand,

और अबीशै। बिन ज़रोयाह ने वादी — ए — शोर में अठारह हज़ार अदोमियों को मारा।

13 And he put a garison in Edom, and all the Edomites became Dauids seruantes: and the Lord preserued Dauid wheresoeuer he went.

और उसने अदोम में सिपाहियों की चौकियाँ बिठाई, और सब अदूमी दाऊद के फ़रमाँबरदार हो गए। और जहाँ कहीं दाऊद जाता ख़ुदावन्द उसे फ़तह बख़्शता था।

14 So Dauid reigned ouer all Israel, and executed iudgement and iustice to all his people.

तब दाऊद सारे इस्राईल पर हुकूमत करने लगा, और अपनी सारी र'इयत के साथ अद्ल — ओ — इन्साफ़ करता था।

15 And Ioab the sonne of Zeruiah was ouer the hoste, and Iehoshaphat the sonne of Ahilud recorder,

और योआब बिन ज़रोयाह लश्कर का सरदार था, और यहूसफ़त बिन अख़ीलूद मुवर्रिख़था;

16 And Zadok the sonne of Ahitub, and Abimelech the sonne of Abiathar were the Priests, and Shausha the Scribe,

और सदूक़ बिन अख़ीतोब और अबीमलिक बिन अबीयातर काहिन थे, और शौशा मुन्शी था;

17 And Benaiah the sonne of Iehoiada was ouer the Cherethites and the Pelethites: and the sonnes of Dauid were chiefe about the King.

और बिनायाह बिन यहूयदा' करेतियों और फ़लेतियों पर था; और दाऊद के बेटे बादशाह के ख़ास मुसाहिब थे।
