1 Chronicles 15

1 And Dauid made him houses in the citie of Dauid, and prepared a place for the Arke of God, and pitched for it a tent.

A gdy [Dawid] zbudował sobie domy w mieście Dawida, przygotował miejsce dla arki Boga i rozbił jej namiot.

2 Then Dauid saide, None ought to carie the Arke of God, but the Leuites: for the Lord hath chosen them to beare the Arke of the Lord, and to minister vnto him for euer.

Wtedy Dawid powiedział: Nie [wolno nikomu] nosić arki Boga oprócz Lewitów. Ich bowiem wybrał PAN, aby nosili arkę Boga i aby służyli mu na wieki.

3 And Dauid gathered all Israel together to Ierusalem to bring vp the Arke of the Lord vnto his place, which he had ordeined for it.

Dawid więc zebrał całego Izraela w Jerozolimie, aby przenieść arkę PANA na miejsce, które dla niej przygotował.

4 And Dauid assembled the sonnes of Aaron, and the Leuites.

Zgromadził też Dawid synów Aarona i Lewitów:

5 Of the sonnes of Kohath, Vriel the chiefe, and his brethren sixe score.

Z synów Kehata: Uriela naczelnika i jego braci – stu dwudziestu;

6 Of the sonnes of Merari, Asaiah the chiefe, and his brethren two hundreth and twentie.

Z synów Merariego: Asajasza naczelnika i jego braci – dwustu dwudziestu;

7 Of the sonnes of Gershom, Ioel the chiefe, and his brethren an hundreth and thirtie.

Z synów Gerszoma: Joela naczelnika i jego braci – stu trzydziestu;

8 Of the sonnes of Elizaphan, Shemaiah the chiefe, and his brethren two hundreth.

Z synów Elisafana: Szemajasza naczelnika i jego braci – dwustu;

9 Of the sonnes of Hebron, Eliel the chiefe, and his brethren fourescore.

Z synów Chebrona: Eliela naczelnika i jego braci – osiemdziesięciu;

10 Of the sonnes of Vzziel, Amminadab the chiefe, and his brethren an hundreth and twelue.

Z synów Uzziela: Amminadaba naczelnika i jego braci – stu dwunastu.

11 And Dauid called Zadok and Abiathar the Priestes, and of the Leuites, Vriel, Asaiah and Ioel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab:

Wtedy Dawid wezwał kapłanów Sadoka i Abiatara oraz Lewitów: Uriela, Asajasza, Joela, Szemajasza, Eliela i Amminadaba;

12 And he saide vnto them, Ye are the chiefe fathers of the Leuites: sanctifie your selues, and your brethren, and bring vp the Arke of the Lord God of Israel vnto the place that I haue prepared for it.

I powiedział do nich: Jesteście naczelnikami rodów lewickich. Poświęćcie się wy i wasi bracia, abyście mogli przenieść arkę PANA, Boga Izraela, na miejsce, które dla niej przygotowałem.

13 For because ye were not there at the first, the Lord our God made a breach among vs: for we sought him not after due order.

Ponieważ za pierwszym razem tego nie uczyniliście, PAN, nasz Bóg, zesłał na nas nieszczęście, bo nie szukaliśmy go tak, jak należy.

14 So the Priestes and the Leuites sanctified them selues to bring vp the Arke of the Lord God of Israel.

Poświęcili się więc kapłani i Lewici, aby przenieść arkę PANA, Boga Izraela.

15 And the sonnes of the Leuites bare the Arke of God vpon their shoulders with the barres, as Moses had commanded, according to the worde of the Lord.

Synowie Lewitów nieśli arkę Boga, jak rozkazał Mojżesz według słowa PANA, na swoich ramionach na drążkach, które przy niej były.

16 And Dauid spake to the chiefe of the Leuites, that they should appoint certaine of their brethren to sing with instruments of musike, with violes and harpes, and cymbales, that they might make a sounde, and lift vp their voyce with ioye.

Potem Dawid rozkazał naczelnikom Lewitów, aby ustanowili swoich braci śpiewakami przy instrumentach muzycznych: cytrach, harfach i cymbałach, aby rozbrzmiewał donośny głos pełen radości.

17 So the Leuites appointed Heman the sonne of Ioel, and of his brethren Asaph the sonne of Berechiah, and of the sonnes of Merari their brethren, Ethan the sonne of Kushaiah,

Lewici ustanowili Hemana, syna Joela, a z jego braci – Asafa, syna Berechiasza, a z synów Merariego, ich braci – Etana, syna Kuszajasza;

18 And with them their brethren in the seconde degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Iaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Vnni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneah, and Obed Edom, and Ieiel the porters.

A z nimi braci ich drugiego [stopnia]: Zachariasza, Bena, Jaaziela, Szemiramota, Jechiela, Unniego, Eliaba, Benajasza, Maasejasza, Mattitiasza, Elifela, Miknejasza, Obed-Edoma i Jejela – odźwiernych.

19 So Heman, Asaph and Ethan were fingers to make a sounde with cymbales of brasse,

A śpiewacy Heman, Asaf i Etan grali głośno na cymbałach z brązu.

20 And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Iehiel, and Vnni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah with violes on Alamoth,

Zachariasz, Jaziel, Szemiramot, Jechiel, Unni, Elijab, Maasejasz i Benajasz [grali] na cytrach na Alamot.

21 And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneah, and Obed Edom, and Ieiel, and Azaziah, with harpes vpon Sheminith Ienazzeah.

A Mattitiasz, Elifel, Miknejasz, Obed-Edom, Jejel i Azaziasz [grali] na harfach na Seminit i prowadzili śpiew.

22 But Chenaniah the chiefe of the Leuites had the charge, bearing ye burden in the charge, for he was able to instruct.

A Kenaniasz, naczelnik Lewitów, odpowiadał za pieśni. Kierował śpiewaniem, bo był uzdolniony.

23 And Berechiah and Elkanah were porters for the Arke.

Berekiasz i Elkana [byli] odźwiernymi przy arce.

24 And Shecaniah and Iehoshaphat and Nethaneel and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the Priestes did blowe with trumpets before the Arke of God, and Obed Edom and Ieiiah were porters for the Arke.

A kapłani: Szebaniasz, Joszafat, Netaneel, Amasaj, Zachariasz, Benajasz i Eliezer grali na trąbach przed arką Boga, a Obed-Edom i Jechiasz [byli] odźwiernymi przy arce.

25 So Dauid and the Elders of Israel and the captaines of thousandes went to bring vp the Arke of the couenant of the Lord from the house of Obed Edom with ioye.

Tak więc Dawid, starsi Izraela i tysiącznicy wyruszyli, aby z radością przenieść arkę przymierza PANA z domu Obed-Edoma.

26 And because that God helped the Leuites that bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, they offered seuen bullockes and seuen rammes.

I kiedy Bóg wspomógł Lewitów niosących arkę przymierza PANA, złożyli w ofierze siedem wołów i siedem baranów.

27 And Dauid had on him a linen garment, as all the Leuites that bare the Arke, and the singers and Chenaniah that had the chiefe charge of the singers: and vpon Dauid was a linnen Ephod.

A Dawid [był] ubrany w szatę z bisioru, podobnie jak wszyscy Lewici, którzy nieśli arkę, śpiewacy i Kenaniasz, kierujący śpiewem. Dawid miał także na sobie lniany efod.

28 Thus all Israel brought vp the Arke of the Lordes couenant with shouting and sounde of cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbales, making a sound with violes and with harpes.

I w ten sposób cały Izrael prowadził arkę przymierza PANA wśród radosnych okrzyków, przy dźwięku kornetu, trąb i cymbałów, grając na cytrach i harfach.

29 And when the Arke of the couenant of the Lord came into the citie of Dauid, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at a windowe, and sawe King Dauid dauncing and playing, and she despised him in her heart.

I kiedy arka przymierza PANA wchodziła do miasta Dawida, Mikal, córka Saula, wyglądała przez okno i zobaczyła króla Dawida tańczącego i grającego. I wzgardziła nim w swoim sercu.
