1 Chronicles 14

1 Then sent Hiram the King of Tyrus messengers to Dauid, and cedar trees, with masons and carpenters to builde him an house.

Und Huram, der König zu Tyrus, sandte Boten zu David und Zedernholz, Maurer und Zimmerleute, daß sie ihm ein Haus baueten.

2 Therefore Dauid knewe that the Lord had confirmed him King ouer Israel, and that his kingdome was lift vp on hie, because of his people Israel.

Und David merkte, daß ihn der HERR zum Könige über Israel bestätiget hatte; denn sein Königreich stieg auf um seines Volks Israel willen.

3 Also Dauid tooke moe wiues at Ierusalem, and Dauid begate moe sonnes and daughters.

Und David nahm noch mehr Weiber zu Jerusalem und zeugete noch mehr Söhne und Töchter.

4 And these are the names of the children which he had at Ierusalem, Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Salomon,

Und die ihm zu Jerusalem geboren wurden, hießen also: Sammua, Sobab, Nathan, Salomo,

5 And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,

Jebehar, Elisua, Elpalet,

6 And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Iaphia,

Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,

7 And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.

Elisama, Baeljada, Eliphalet.

8 But when the Philistims heard that Dauid was anointed King ouer Israel, all the Philistims came vp to seeke Dauid. And when Dauid heard, he went out against them.

Und da die Philister höreten, daß David zum Könige gesalbet war über ganz Israel, zogen sie alle herauf, David zu suchen. Da das David hörete, zog er aus gegen sie.

9 And the Philistims came, and spred them selues in the valley of Rephaim.

Und die Philister kamen und ließen sich nieder im Grunde Rephaim.

10 Then Dauid asked counsel at God, saying, Shall I goe vp against the Philistims, and wilt thou deliuer them into mine hande? And the Lord saide vnto him, Goe vp: for I will deliuer them into thine hande.

David aber fragte Gott und sprach: Soll ich hinaufziehen wider die Philister, und willst du sie in meine Hand geben? Der HERR sprach zu ihm: Zeuch hinauf, ich habe sie in deine Hände gegeben.

11 So they came vp to Baal-perazim, and Dauid smote them there: and Dauid said, God hath deuided mine enemies with mine hande, as waters are deuided: therefore they called the name of that place, Baal-perazim.

Und da sie hinaufzogen gen Baal-Prazim, schlug sie David daselbst. Und David sprach: Gott hat meine Feinde durch meine Hand zertrennet, wie sich das Wasser trennet. Daher hießen sie die Stätte Baal-Prazim.

12 And there they had left their gods: and Dauid said, Let them euen be burnt with fire.

Und sie ließen ihre Götter daselbst; da hieß sie David mit Feuer verbrennen.

13 Againe the Philistims came and spread them selues in the valley.

Aber die Philister machten sich wieder daran und taten sich nieder im Grunde.

14 And when Dauid asked againe counsell at God, God said to him, Thou shalt not goe vp after them, but turne away from them, that thou mayest come vpon them ouer against the mulberie trees.

Und David fragte abermal Gott; und Gott sprach zu ihm: Du sollst nicht hinaufziehen hinter ihnen her, sondern lenke dich von ihnen, daß du an sie kommest gegen den Maulbeerbäumen.

15 And when thou hearest the noyse of one going in the toppes of the mulberie trees, then goe out to battel: for God is gone foorth before thee, to smite the hoste of the Philistims.

Wenn du dann wirst hören das Rauschen oben auf den Maulbeerbäumen einhergehen, so fahre heraus zum Streit; denn Gott ist da vor dir ausgezogen; zu schlagen der Philister Heer.

16 So Dauid did as God had commanded him: and they smote the hoste of the Philistims from Gibeon euen to Gezer.

Und David tat, wie ihm Gott geboten hatte; und sie schlugen das Heer der Philister von Gibeon an bis gen Gaser.

17 And the fame of Dauid went out into all landes, and the Lord brought the feare of him vpon all nations.

Und Davids Name brach aus in allen Landen, und der HERR ließ seine Furcht über alle Heiden kommen.
