Revelation 7
1 Then I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth holding back the earth's four winds to prevent any wind from blowing on the earth, or over the sea, or against any tree.
Und nach diesem sah ich vier Engel stehen an den vier Ecken der Erde und die vier Winde der Erde halten, daß kein Wind wehe über die Erde und über das Meer und über alle Bäume.
2 I watched another angel rise up from the east, holding the seal of the living God. He shouted in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given the power to damage the earth and the sea,
Und ich sah einen anderen Engel aufsteigen von Sonnenaufgang, mit einem Siegel des lebendigen Gottes, der rief mit lauter Stimme den vier Engeln, denen gegeben war zu schädigen die Erde und das Meer
3 “Don't hurt the earth or the sea or the trees until we have placed a seal on the foreheads of God's true followers!”
und sprach: schädiget die Erde nicht, noch das Meer, noch die Bäume, bis wir die Knechte unseres Gottes versiegelt haben auf der Stirne.
4 I was told the number of those who were sealed: one hundred and forty-four thousand. Those who were sealed came from every tribe of the children of Israel:
Und ich hörte die Zahl der Versiegelten, nämlich hundert vier und vierzig Tausend Versiegelte aus allen Stämmen der Söhne Israel:
5 twelve thousand from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand from the tribe of Gad,
aus dem Stamm Juda zwölftausend versiegelt, aus dem Stamm Ruben zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Gad zwölftausend,
6 twelve thousand from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand from the tribe of Manasseh,
aus dem Stamm Aser zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Nephthalim zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Manasse zwölftausend,
7 twelve thousand from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand from the tribe of Issachar,
aus dem Stamm Simeon zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Levi zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Issachar zwölftausend,
8 twelve thousand from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand from the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand from the tribe of Benjamin.
aus dem Stamm Zabulon zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Joseph zwölftausend, aus dem Stamm Benjamin zwölftausend versiegelt.
9 After this I looked and saw a great crowd that nobody could count, made up of every nation, tribe, people and language. They were standing in front of the throne and the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.
Nach diesem sah ich: siehe da eine große Menge, die niemand zählen konnte, aus allen Nationen, Stämmen, Völkern und Sprachen, stehend vor dem Throne und vor dem Lamm, angethan mit weißen Gewändern, und Palmen in ihren Händen,
10 They gave a loud shout, “Salvation is from our God who sits on the throne, and from the Lamb.”
und sie riefen mit lauter Stimme: Heil unserem Gott, der da sitzt auf dem Throne, und dem Lamm.
11 All the angels surrounding the throne, and the elders and the four living creatures, fell down on their faces before the throne, worshipping God.
Und alle Engel standen rings um den Thron, und die Aeltesten und die vier Tiere, und fielen vor dem Thron auf ihr Angesicht und beteten Gott an
12 “Amen!” they said. “Blessing, glory, wisdom, gratitude, honor, power, and strength, be to God for ever and ever. Amen.” (aiōn g165)
und sprachen: Amen, Lob und Preis und Weisheit und Dank und Ehre und Kraft und Stärke unserem Gott in alle Ewigkeit, Amen. (aiōn g165)
13 One of the elders spoke to me and asked, “Who are those who are dressed in white robes, and where have they come from?”
Und einer von den Aeltesten nahm das Wort und sprach zu mir: diese in den weißen Gewändern, wer sind sie und woher kamen sie?
14 I replied, “My Lord, you know the answer.” He told me, “These are the ones who have passed through great persecution. They washed their robes, making them white through the blood of the Lamb.
Und ich sprach zu ihm: mein Herr, du weißt es. Und er sprach zu mir: diese sind es, die da kommen aus der großen Trübsal und die ihre Kleider gewaschen und gebleicht haben im Blute des Lammes;
15 That's why they can stand in front of God's throne, and they serve him day and night in his Temple. The one who sits on the throne will protect them with his presence.
darum sind sie vor dem Throne Gottes, und dienen ihm Tag und Nacht in seinem Tempel, und der das sitzt auf dem Thron, wird über ihnen sein Zelt errichten.
16 They will never be hungry ever again, or thirsty; the sun will not beat down on them and they will not suffer scorching heat,
Sie werden nicht mehr hungern noch dürsten, noch wird die Sonne auf sie fallen, noch irgend Hitze,
17 because the Lamb who is at the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will lead them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
denn das Lamm, das inmitten des Thrones ist, wird sie weiden und sie leiten zu Wasserquellen des Lebens, und Gott wird abwischen alle Thränen von ihren Augen.
