Revelation 18
1 After this I saw another angel descending from heaven. He had great power and the earth was lit up by his glory.
A potemem widział drugiego Anioła zstępującego z nieba, mającego moc wielką i oświeciła się ziemia od chwały jego.
2 He shouted out in a powerful voice, “Babylon the great has collapsed into ruins! She has become a place where demons live, the refuge of every unclean spirit, and the roost of every unclean and detestable bird.
I zawołał potężnie głosem wielkim, mówiąc: Upadł, upadł Babilon on wielki i stał się przybytkiem czartów i mieszkaniem wszelkiego ducha nieczystego, i mieszkaniem wszelkiego ptastwa nieczystego i przemierzłego.
3 For all the nations have drunk the wine of her mad sexual immorality. The kings of the earth have committed adultery with her, and the traders of the earth have grown rich from her excessive sensuality.”
Iż z win zapalczywości wszeteczeństwa jego piły wszystkie narody, a królowie ziemi wszeteczeństwo z nim płodzili, i kupcy ziemscy z zbytecznej rozkoszy jego zbogacieli.
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven calling out, “My people, come out of her, so that you don't participate in her sinful ways, and so that you don't experience her plagues.
I słyszałem inszy głos z nieba mówiący: Wynijdźcie z niego, ludu mój! abyście nie byli uczestnikami grzechów jego, a iżbyście nie wzięli z plag jego.
5 Her sins have piled up all the way to heaven, and God is very much aware of her wickedness.
Albowiem dosięgły grzechy jego aż do nieba i wspomniał Bóg na nieprawości jego.
6 Give back to her what she gave; repay her double for what she did. In her own cup mix double the trouble she mixed for others.
Oddajcież mu, jako i on oddawał wam, a w dwójnasób oddajcie mu według uczynków jego; w kubku, który wam nalewał, nalejcie mu w dwójnasób.
7 As much as she boasted about herself and indulged her lusts, give her back just as much anguish and sorrow. She told herself, ‘I reign as queen. I am no widow; I will never be in mourning.’
Jako się wiele chlubił i rozkoszował, tak mu wiele dajcie mąk i smutku; bo mówi w sercu swojem: Siedzę jako królowa, a nie jestem wdową, i smutku nie ujrzę.
8 Because of this her plagues will come upon her in just one day: death, mourning, and famine. She will be completely destroyed by fire, for the Lord God who condemns her has great power.
Przetoż w jeden dzień przyjdą plagi jego, śmierć i smutek, i głód, i ogniem będzie spalony; bo mocny jest Pan Bóg, który go osądzi.
9 The kings of the earth who had committed adultery with her and indulged their lusts with her will cry and mourn over her when they see the smoke of the fire that destroys her.
I będą go płakać, i narzekać nad nim będą królowie ziemi, którzy z nim wszeteczeństwo płodzili i rozkoszowali, gdy ujrzą dym zapalenia jego.
10 Standing off at a distance because they are afraid they will suffer the same agony as her, they say, ‘Disaster, disaster has struck Babylon, the great city! In just one hour your sentence of doom was executed!’
Z daleka stojąc dla bojaźni męki jego i mówiąc: Biada, biada, miasto ono wielkie Babilon, miasto ono mocne, iż w jednę godzinę przyszedł sąd twój!
11 The traders of the earth cry and grieve over her, because nobody is buying their goods any more—
Do tego i kupcy ziemscy płakać będą i narzekać nad niem, przeto iż towaru ich żaden więcej kupować nie będzie,
12 products made of gold, silver, gems and pearls; fine linen, purple cloth, silk, and scarlet material; all kinds of objects made of scented wood, or from ivory, or expensive woods, or bronze, iron, or marble;
Towaru złota i srebra, i kamienia drogiego, i pereł, i lnu cienkiego, i purpury, i jedwabiu, i szarłatu, i wszelkiego drzewa tyinowego, i wszelkiego naczynia słoniowego, i wszelkiego naczynia z drzewa najkosztowniejszego, i z miedzi, i z żelaza, i z marmuru,
13 shipments of cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, olive oil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and wagons, and slaves and prisoners.
I cynamonu, i kadzenia, i maści, i kadzidła, i wina, i oliwy, i mąki czystej, i pszenicy, i bydła, i owiec, i koni, i wozów, i niewolników, i dusz ludzkich.
14 You've lost the sweet pleasures you loved so much; all your luxurious, glittering possessions are gone—you'll never get any of them back.
I owoce pożądliwości duszy twojej odeszły od ciebie, i wszystkie rzeczy tłuste i świetne odeszły od ciebie, a tych rzeczy już więcej nie znajdziesz.
15 The traders who sold these things and became rich from trading with her will stand at a distance because they are afraid they will suffer the same agony as her. They will cry and grieve, saying,
Kupcy tych rzeczy, zbogaciwszy się tem, z daleka stać będą dla bojaźni męki jego, płacząc i narzekając,
16 ‘Disaster, disaster has hit the great city! She was clothed in fine linen and purple robes, and wore jewelry made of gold and gems and pearls.
A mówiąc: Biada, biada, miasto ono wielkie, które było obleczone w bisior, i w purpurę, i w szarłat, i uzłocone złotem, i kamieniem drogim, i perłami; gdyż w jednej godzinie zginęło tak wielkie bogactwo.
17 In just one hour all this wealth was destroyed!’ Every sea captain and everyone who travels by sea and every sailor and everyone who earns their living from the sea stood at a distance.
I wszelki sternik, i wszystko mnóstwo ludu, które jest na okręcie, i żeglarze, i którzykolwiek na morzu pożytku szukają, z daleka stanęli.
18 As they watched the smoke of the fire that destroys her, they shouted out, ‘What city could ever compare to this great city?’
I zawołali, widząc dym zapalenia jego, mówiąc: Któreż miasto było podobne temu miastu wielkiemu?
19 They threw dust on their heads, shouting and crying and grieving, ‘Disaster, disaster has struck the great city that made every ship-owner rich because of her extravagance! In just one hour she was destroyed!’
A sypali proch na głowy swoje i wołali, płacząc i smucąc się, i mówiąc: Biada, biada, miasto ono wielkie, w którem zbogatnieli wszyscy, którzy mieli okręty na morzu z dostatków jego, iż jednej godziny spustoszało!
20 Celebrate what's happened to her, heaven and believers and apostles and prophets, for God has condemned her as she condemned you.”
Rozraduj się nad niem niebo i święci Apostołowie i prorocy; bo się pomścił krzywdy waszej Bóg nad niem.
21 A powerful angel picked up a rock the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, “With this kind of violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, and will never exist again.”
I podniósł jeden Anioł mocny kamień jakoby młyński wielki, i wrzucił go w morze, mówiąc: Takim pędem wrzucony będzie Babilon, miasto ono wielkie, i już więcej nie będzie znaleziony.
22 “Never again will anyone hear music in you: the sound of harps, singers, flutes, and trumpets. Never again will craftsmen of any trade work in you. Never again will the sound of a mill be heard in you.
I głos cytrystów, i śpiewaków, i piszczków, i trębaczy więcej w tobie słyszany nie będzie, i żaden rzemieślnik wszelkiego rzemiosła nie znajdzie się więcej w tobie, i grzmot młyna nie będzie więcej słyszany w tobie;
23 Never again will the light of a lamp shine in you. Never again will the voices of bridegroom and bride be heard in you. Your traders led the world. Through your witchcraft all the nations were deceived.
I światłość świecy nie będzie się więcej świeciła w tobie, i głos oblubieńca i oblubienicy nie będzie więcej słyszany w tobie; iż kupcy twoi byli wielcy panowie ziemscy, iż czarami twojemi byli zwiedzeni wszystkie narody.
24 In her the blood of prophets and believers was found, and of all those who have been killed on the earth.”
I w niem znalazła się krew proroków i świętych, i wszystkich, którzy są pobici na ziemi.
