Psalms 1

1 Happy are those who don't follow the advice of the wicked. They refuse to adopt the ways of sinful people, and they don't make fun of others.

¡Dichoso el hombre que no sigue el consejo de los malvados, ni pone el pie en el camino de los pecadores, ni entre los burladores toma asiento,

2 Instead they love to do what the law of the Lord says, and they think about it day and night.

mas tiene su deleite en la Ley del Señor, y en ella medita día y noche!

3 They're like trees growing by flowing rivers, producing fruit every season. Their leaves never wither, and they are successful in all they do.

Es como un árbol plantado junto a ríos de agua, que a su tiempo dará fruto y cuyas hojas no se marchitan; todo cuanto hiciere prosperará.

4 But it's not like that for the wicked! They are like chaff, blown away by the wind.

No así los malvados, no así. Ellos son como paja que el viento desparrama.

5 For this reason the wicked will not survive the judgment—sinners have no place among those who live right.

Por eso en el juicio no estarán en pie los malvados, ni los pecadores en la reunión de los justos.

6 For the Lord watches over those who follow the right way, but the way of the wicked leads to death.

Porque el camino de los justos lo cuida Yahvé, y el camino de los malvados tiene mal fin.
