Mark 9
1 Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth: some standing here won't die before they see the kingdom of God having come with power.”
І рече їм: Істино глаголю вам: Що є деякі між стоячими тут, котрі не вкусять смерти, поки побачять царство Боже, що прийде в потузі.
2 Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John with him, and led them up a high mountain to be by themselves. His appearance totally changed.
А через шість день бере Ісус Петра, та Якова, та Йоана, й веде їх на гору високу окреме самих; і переобразивсь перед ними.
3 His clothes shone a brilliant white, whiter than anyone on earth could bleach them.
І стала одежа Його осяйна, вельми біла мов сніг, якої біляр на землі не може вбілити.
4 Then Elijah and Moses appeared in front of them as well, talking with Jesus.
І явив ся їм Ілия з Мойсейом, і розмовляли з Ісусом.
5 Peter spoke up and said, “Rabbi, it's great for us to be here! We should make three shelters—one each for you, Moses, and Elijah.”
І озвавшись Петр, каже до Ісуса: Учителю, добре нам тут бути; зробимо три намети, Тобі один, і Мойсейові один, і Ілиї один.
6 (He really didn't know what to say because they were all so frightened!)
Не знав бо, що казати: були бо полякані.
7 Then a cloud covered them, and a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, the one I love. Listen to him.”
І постала хмара отіняюча їх, і вийшов голос із хмари глаголючи: Се Син мій любий; Його слухайте.
8 Then, all of a sudden, as they were watching, there was nobody. Only Jesus was with them.
І зараз озирнувшись, уже нїкого не бачили, тільки Ісуса одного з собою.
9 As they came down the mountain Jesus instructed them not to tell anyone what they'd seen until the Son of man had risen from the dead.
Як же вони сходили з гори, наказав їм, щоб нікому не казали, що бачили, аж поки Син чоловічий з мертвих воскресне.
10 They kept this to themselves, but they did argue with each other over what it meant to rise from the dead.
І задержали вони се слово в себе, перепитуючись, що се єсть: із мертвих воскреснути.
11 “Why do the religious teachers state that Elijah has to come first?” they asked him.
І питали Його, говорячи: Що се кажуть письменники, що Ілия мусить прийти перше?
12 “It's true that Elijah comes first to prepare everything,” Jesus replied. “But why then does it say in Scripture that the Son of man has to suffer so much and be treated with contempt?
Він же, озвавшись, рече їм: Ілия, прийшовши перше, налагодить усе; і як писано про Сина чоловічого, щоб Він багато витерпів і був погорджений.
13 However, I tell you that Elijah has come, and they abused him in whatever way they wanted, just as Scripture said they would.”
Тільки ж глаголю вам: Що Ілия прийшов, і зробили йому, що схотіли, як писано про него.
14 When they returned to the other disciples, they saw them surrounded by a large crowd and some religious teachers arguing with them.
І, прийшовши до учеників, побачив багато народу кругом них, і письменників, що перепитують ся з ними.
15 As soon as the crowd saw Jesus they were in total awe, and ran to greet him.
І зараз увесь народ, побачивши Його, вельми сполохнув ся, і прибігаючи витали Його.
16 “What are you arguing with them about?” Jesus asked them.
І питав Він письменників: Про що ви перепитуєте ся з ними?
17 One of the people in the crowd answered, “Rabbi, I brought my son to you. He has an evil spirit that prevents him speaking.
І озвавшись один з народу, каже: Учителю, призів я сина мого до тебе, що має духа нїмого.
18 Whenever he has a seizure it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and he becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive it out of him, but they couldn't do it.”
І як схопить його, то рве його, й пінить ся він, і скрегоче зубами своїми, та все сохне. І казав я ученикам твоїм, щоб його вигнали, та не здолїли.
19 “You unbelieving people!” Jesus responded. “How long must I remain here with you? How long do I have to put up with you? Bring him over here to me!”
Він же, озвавшись, рече йому: О кодло невірне! доки в вас буду? доки терпіти му вас? Приведіть його до мене.
20 So they brought him to Jesus. When the evil spirit saw Jesus it immediately sent the boy into convulsions and threw him on the ground, where he rolled around, foaming at the mouth.
І привели його до Него. І, побачивши Його, зараз дух затряс ним; і впавши той на землю, качав ся запінившись.
21 “How long has he had this?” Jesus asked the boy's father. “Since he was small,” the father replied.
І спитав батька його: З якого се часу, що так сталось йому? Він же казав: З малку.
22 “Often it throws him into the fire to burn him to death, or throws him into water to drown him. Please have mercy on us and help, if you can.”
І почасту в огонь кидав його і в воду, щоб погубити його. Тільки ж, коли що зможеш, поможи нам, змилосердившись над нами.
23 “Why do you say, ‘if you can?’” replied Jesus. “Whoever trusts has every power!”
Ісус же рече йому: Коли можеш у те вірувати, то все можливе віруючому.
24 “I do trust in you,” the man shouted out right away. “Help me not to distrust you.”
І зараз, заголосивши, батько хлопчика, каже кріз сльози: Вірую, Господи; поможи моєму недовірству.
25 Jesus, seeing that the crowd was closing in, commanded the evil spirit, “Spirit that causes deafness and dumbness, I order you to come out of him and never return.”
Бачивши ж Ісус, що збігаєть ся народ, погрозив духові нечистому, глаголючи йому: Душе нїмий і глухий, я тобі повеліваю, вийди з него й більш не входь в него.
26 The spirit screamed and threw the boy into severe convulsions. Then the spirit came out of the boy and left him for dead—to the extent that many of the people said, “He's dead.”
І закричавши, й вельми потрясши ним, вийшов; і став наче мертвий; так що многі казали: Що вмер.
27 But Jesus took the boy by the hand and helped him up, and he got to his feet.
Ісус же, взявши його за руку, підвів його; й він устав.
28 Later, when Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him in private, “Why couldn't we drive the evil spirit out?”
І, як увіходив у господу, ученики Його питали Його окреме: Чому ми не змогли вигнати його.
29 “This kind can't be driven out except by prayer,” Jesus told them.
І рече їм: Се кодло нічим не може вийти, тільки молитвою та постом.
30 They left and passed through Galilee. Jesus didn't want anyone to know where he was
І, вийшовши звідтіля, переходили через Галилею, і не хотів, щоб хто знав.
31 because he was teaching his disciples. “The Son of man will be betrayed to human authorities,” he told them. “They will kill him, but three days later he will rise again.”
Навчав бо учеників своїх, і глаголав їм; Що Син чоловічий буде виданий у руки чоловічі, і вбють Його, і вбитий, Він третього дня воскресне.
32 They didn't understand what he meant and were too afraid to ask him about it.
Вони ж не розуміли слова, й боялись Його спитати.
33 They arrived at Capernaum, and once they were inside the house where they were staying, Jesus asked them, “What were you talking about on the way?”
І прийшов у Капернаум, і, бувши в господі, спитав їх: Про що ви дорогою між собою міркували?
34 But they didn't say anything because they had been arguing over who was the most important.
Вони ж мовчали; перемовлялись бо між собою в дорозї, хто більший.
35 Jesus sat down and called the twelve disciples together. “If anyone wants to be first, he has to be the very last, the servant of everyone else,” he told them.
І сївши, призвав дванайцятьох, і рече їм: Коли хто хоче першим бути, нехай буде з усіх останнім і всїм слугою.
36 He took a small child and had the child stand right in the middle of them. Then he picked up and hugged the child, and told them,
І, взявши дитину, поставив її серед них, і обнявши її, рече їм-
37 “Whoever welcomes a child like this in my name, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me doesn't welcome me but the one who sent me.”
Хто одно з таких дітей прийме в імя мов, мене приймав; а хто мене приймає, не мене приймає, а пославшого мене.
38 John said to Jesus, “Rabbi, we saw someone driving out demons in your name. We tried to stop him because he wasn't one of us.”
Озвавсь до Него Йоан, говорячи: Учителю, бачили ми одного, що імям Твоїм виганяв біси, а не ходить слїдом за нами, й заборонили йому; бо не ходить слідом за нами.
39 “Don't stop him,” Jesus replied. “For no one who is doing miracles in my name can curse me at the same time.
Ісусже рече: Не бороніть йому, нема бо такого, що зробить чудо в імя моє, і зможе скоро злословити мене.
40 Anyone who is not against us is for us.
Хто бо не проти вас, той за вас.
41 Anyone who gives a cup of water to you in my name, because you belong to Christ, won't lose their reward, believe me.
Хто бо напоїть вас чашею води в імя моє, що ви Христові, істино глаголю вам: не втеряє нагороди своєї.
42 But if anyone leads one of these little ones who trust in me into sin, it would be better for them if they were thrown into the sea with a large millstone tied around their neck.
Та хто зблазннть одного з малих віруючих у мене, лучче йому, коли б почеплено жорно млинове на шию йому, та й укинуто в море.
43 If your hand leads you to sin, cut it off! It's better to enter eternal life as a cripple than to go with both hands into Gehenna, into the fire that can't be put out. (Geenna g1067)
І коли бдазнить тебе рука твоя, відотнй її; лучче тобі калікою в життє ввійти, нїж, дві руці мавши, пійти в пекло, в огонь невгасаючий, (Geenna g1067)
де червяк їх не вмирає, й огонь не вгасає.
45 If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off! It's better to enter eternal life lame than to be thrown into Gehenna still having two feet. (Geenna g1067)
І коли нога твоя блазнить тебе, відотнй її; лучче тобі ввійти в життє кривим, нїж дві нозі мавши, бути вкинутим у пекло, в огонь невгасаючий, (Geenna g1067)
де червяк їх не вмирає й огонь не вгасає.
47 If your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out! It's better to enter the kingdom of God with just one eye than to be thrown into Gehenna still having both eyes, (Geenna g1067)
І коли око твоє блазнить тебе, вирви його; лучче тобі однооким увійти в царство Боже, ніж, дві оці мавши, бути вкинутим ув огняне пекло, (Geenna g1067)
48 where the worm doesn't die and the fire never goes out.
де червяв їх не вмирає, й огонь не вгасає.
49 Everybody will be ‘salted’ by fire.
Кожен бо огнем посолить ся, і кожна жертва сіллю посолить ся.
50 Salt is good, but if it loses its taste, how could you make it salty again? You need to be like salt, and live in peace with one another.”
Добро сіль; коли ж сіль несолона стане, то чим солити Ті? Майте в собі сіль, і майте впокій між собою.
