Luke 7
1 When he'd finished speaking to the people, Jesus left for Capernaum.
Երբ լմնցուց իր բոլոր խօսքերը ժողովուրդին ականջներուն ըսելը՝ մտաւ Կափառնայում:
2 A centurion lived there who had a servant he greatly valued who was sick and was about to die.
Հարիւրապետի մը ծառան, որ սիրելի էր իրեն, ծանրօրէն հիւանդացած ըլլալով՝ վախճանելու մօտ էր:
3 When he heard about Jesus, the centurion sent some Jewish elders to him, asking him to come and heal his servant.
Երբ լսեց Յիսուսի մասին, Հրեաներէն քանի մը երէցներ ղրկելով՝ թախանձեց անոր, որ գայ եւ ապրեցնէ իր ստրուկը:
4 When the elders came to Jesus, they pleaded with him strongly, saying, “Please come and do what he asks. He deserves your help,
Անոնք ալ եկան Յիսուսի, փութաջանութեամբ կ՚աղաչէին անոր ու կ՚ըսէին. «Ան՝ որուն պիտի ընես այս շնորհքը՝ արժանի է,
5 because he loves our people and he built a synagogue for us.”
որովհետեւ կը սիրէ մեր ազգը, եւ ի՛նք կառուցանեց ժողովարանը մեզի համար»:
6 Jesus went with them and as they approached the house, the centurion sent some friends to Jesus to tell him, “Lord, please don't trouble yourself by coming into my house, because I'm not worthy of that.
Յիսուս գնաց անոնց հետ, ու երբ տունէն շատ հեռու չէր, հարիւրապետը քանի մը բարեկամներ ղրկեց եւ ըսաւ անոր. «Տէ՛ր, մի՛ անհանգստանար, որովհետեւ ես արժանի չեմ որ դուն մտնես իմ յարկիս տակ.
7 I didn't even think that I was worthy to come and see you. Just give the command, and my servant will be healed.
ուստի ես ալ արժանի չնկատեցի զիս՝ գալու քեզի. հապա ըսէ՛ խօսք մը՝՝, ու ծառաս պիտի բժշկուի:
8 For I'm under the authority of my superior officers, and I have soldiers under my authority too. I command one to go and he goes, another to come and he comes. I command my servant to do something and he does it.”
Որովհետեւ ես ալ իշխանութեան տակ դրուած մարդ մըն եմ, եւ զինուորներ ունիմ իմ հրամանիս տակ: Ասոր կ՚ըսեմ. “Գնա՛”, ու կ՚երթայ. եւ միւսին. “Եկո՛ւր”, ու կու գայ. եւ ստրուկիս. “Ըրէ՛ այս բանը”, ու կ՚ընէ»:
9 When Jesus heard this he was astounded. He turned to the crowd that was following him, and said, “I tell you, I haven't found trust like this even in Israel.”
Յիսուս լսելով ասիկա՝ զարմացաւ անոր վրայ, եւ դառնալով իրեն հետեւող բազմութեան՝ ըսաւ. «Ձեզի կը յայտարարեմ թէ Իսրայէլի մէջ անգամ ես չգտայ ա՛յսչափ մեծ հաւատք»:
10 Then the centurion's friends returned to the house and found the servant in good health.
Պատգամաւորները տուն վերադարձան, եւ առողջացած գտան հիւանդ ծառան:
11 Soon after Jesus went to a town called Nain, accompanied by his disciples and a large crowd.
Հետեւեալ օրը կ՚երթար քաղաք մը՝ որուն անունը Նային էր: Անոր հետ կ՚երթային իր աշակերտներէն շատերը, նաեւ մեծ բազմութիւն մը:
12 As he approached the town gate a funeral procession was coming the other way. The man who had died was the only son of a widow, and a sizeable crowd from the town was with her.
Երբ մօտեցաւ քաղաքին դրան, ահա՛ մեռել մը դուրս կը հանէին, իր մօր մէկ հատիկ որդին: Ան այրի էր, ու քաղաքէն մեծ բազմութիւն մը անոր հետ էր:
13 When the Lord saw her he was filled with compassion for her. “Don't cry,” he told her.
Տէրը տեսնելով զայն՝ գթաց անոր վրայ եւ ըսաւ անոր. «Մի՛ լար»:
14 Jesus went over to the coffin and touched it, and the pall-bearers stopped. Jesus said, “Young man, I tell you, get up.”
Ու մօտենալով՝ դպաւ դագաղին. կրողները կանգ առին, եւ ըսաւ. «Երիտասա՛րդ, քեզի՛ կ՚ըսեմ. “Ոտքի՛ ելիր”»:
15 The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
Մեռելն ալ ելաւ, նստաւ, եւ սկսաւ խօսիլ. Յիսուս տուաւ զայն իր մօր:
16 A sense of awe filled everyone there and they praised God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us,” and “God has visited his people.”
Վախը համակեց բոլորը, ու Աստուած կը փառաբանէին՝ ըսելով. «Մեծ մարգարէ մը ելած է մեր մէջ, եւ Աստուած այցելած է իր ժողովուրդին»:
17 News about Jesus spread throughout Judea, and all around.
Անոր մասին այս տարաձայնութիւնը տարածուեցաւ ամբողջ Հրէաստանի մէջ, ու ամբողջ շրջակայքը:
18 The disciples of John told John about all this.
Յովհաննէսի աշակերտները պատմեցին իրեն այս բոլոր բաներուն մասին:
19 John called two of his disciples and told them to go and see Jesus, and ask, “Are you the one we've been expecting, or should we wait for someone else?”
Յովհաննէս ալ իր աշակերտներէն երկուքը կանչեց իրեն ու ղրկեց Յիսուսի՝ ըսելով. «Դո՞ւն ես ան՝ որ պիտի գար, թէ ուրիշի՛ մը սպասենք»:
20 When they came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to you, to ask you, ‘Are you the one we've been expecting or should we wait for someone else?’”
Երբ այդ մարդիկը եկան անոր քով՝ ըսին. «Յովհաննէս Մկրտիչը մեզ ղրկեց քեզի՝ ըսելով. “Դո՞ւն ես ան՝ որ պիտի գար, թէ ուրիշի՛ մը սպասենք”»:
21 At that very moment Jesus was healing many people of their diseases, illnesses, evil spirits, and making the blind to see.
Նոյն ժամուն շատեր բժշկեց իրենց ախտերէն, տանջանքներէն եւ չար ոգիներէն, ու շատ կոյրերու տեսութիւն շնորհեց:
22 Jesus answered John's disciples, “Go and tell John what you've seen and heard. The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers cured, the deaf hear, the dead raised back to life, the poor are told the good news.
Ապա Յիսուս պատասխանեց անոնց. «Գացէ՛ք, պատմեցէ՛ք Յովհաննէսի ինչ որ տեսաք եւ լսեցիք, թէ կոյրերը կը տեսնեն, կաղերը կը քալեն, բորոտները կը մաքրուին, խուլերը կը լսեն, մեռելները յարութիւն կ՚առնեն, աղքատներուն կ՚աւետարանուի:
23 How good it is for those who are not offended because of me!”
Երանի՜ անոր՝ որ չի գայթակղիր իմ պատճառովս»:
24 After the messengers from John had left, Jesus began telling the crowd, “About John: what did you expect to see when you went out to meet him in the desert? Some reed blown about by the wind?
Երբ Յովհաննէսի պատգամաւորները գացին, Յիսուս սկսաւ բազմութիւններուն խօսիլ Յովհաննէսի մասին. «Ի՞նչ տեսնելու գացիք անապատը. հովէն տատանող եղէ՞գ մը:
25 Did you come looking for a man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who have stylish clothes and live in luxury are found in palaces.
Հապա ի՞նչ տեսնելու գացիք. փափուկ հանդերձներ հագած մա՞րդ մը: Ահա՛ անոնք՝ որ փառաւոր պատմուճաններով ու փափկութեան մէջ են, թագաւորական պալատնե՛րն են:
26 Were you looking for a prophet? Yes he is, and I'm telling you, he's much more than a prophet.
Հապա ի՞նչ տեսնելու գացիք. մարգարէ՞ մը: Այո՛, կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի, աւելի՛ քան մարգարէ մը:
27 It was written about him in Scripture: ‘Look, I'm sending my messenger to go before you to prepare your way.’
Որովհետեւ ասիկա՛ է ան՝ որուն մասին գրուած է. “Ահա՛ ես կը ղրկեմ իմ պատգամաւորս քու առջեւէդ. ան պիտի պատրաստէ ճամբադ՝ քու առջեւդ”:
28 I tell you, no one born of women is greater than John, but even the most unimportant person in God's kingdom is greater than he is!”
Արդարեւ կը յայտարարեմ ձեզի. “Կիներէ ծնածներուն մէջ՝ Յովհաննէս Մկրտիչէն աւելի մեծ մարգարէ չկայ”. սակայն Աստուծոյ թագաւորութեան մէջ՝ ամենէն պզտիկը անկէ աւելի մեծ է»:
29 When they heard this, all of them—even the tax collectors—followed what God said was good and right, for they had been baptized by John.
Երբ ամբողջ ժողովուրդն ու մաքսաւորները լսեցին, արդարացուցին Աստուած՝ որ Յովհաննէսի մկրտութեամբ մկրտուեցան:
30 But the Pharisees and the religious teachers rejected what God wanted them to do, for they had refused to be baptized by John.
Բայց Փարիսեցիներն ու օրինականները անարգեցին Աստուծոյ ծրագիրը իրենց հանդէպ՝ անկէ չմկրտուելով:
31 “What shall I compare these people to?” asked Jesus. “What are they like?
«Ուրեմն որո՞ւ նմանցնեմ այս սերունդին մարդիկը, եւ որո՞ւ կը նմանին:
32 They're like children sitting in the market who tell one other, ‘We played the flute for you but you didn't dance; we sang sad songs but you didn't cry.’
Կը նմանին մանուկներու, որոնք հրապարակները նստելով՝ կը գոչեն իրարու եւ կ՚ըսեն. “Սրինգ նուագեցինք ձեզի՝ ու չպարեցիք, ողբացինք ձեզի՝ ու չլացիք”:
33 When John the Baptist came he didn't eat bread or drink wine, but you say he's demon-possessed.
Որովհետեւ Յովհաննէս Մկրտիչը եկաւ, ո՛չ հաց կ՚ուտէր եւ ո՛չ գինի կը խմէր, ու կ՚ըսէիք. “Դեւ կայ անոր մէջ”:
34 Now the Son of man is here, and eats and drinks with people, but you say, ‘Look, he spends his time eating too much food and drinking too much wine. Plus he's a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’
Մարդու Որդին եկաւ, կ՚ուտէ եւ կը խմէ, ու կ՚ըսէք. “Ահա՛ շատակեր ու գինեսէր մարդ մը, մաքսաւորներու եւ մեղաւորներու բարեկամ”:
35 However, God's wise ways are proved right by all who follow him!”
Եւ իմաստութիւնը արդարացաւ իր բոլոր զաւակներով»:
36 One of the Pharisees invited Jesus to come and eat with him. Jesus went to the Pharisee's house and sat down to the meal.
Փարիսեցիներէն մէկը կը թախանձէր՝ որ ան իրեն հետ հաց ուտէ: Ան ալ մտաւ Փարիսեցիին տունը ու սեղան նստաւ:
37 A woman who was a sinner in that town found out that Jesus was eating in the Pharisee's house. She went there, carrying an alabaster jar of perfume.
Քաղաքին մէջ մեղաւոր կին մը կար. երբ գիտցաւ թէ ան սեղան նստած է Փարիսեցիին տունը, անուշահոտ օծանելիքի ալապաստրէ շիշ մը բերաւ,
38 She kneeled beside Jesus and with her tears wet his feet, and dried them with her hair. She kissed his feet, and then she poured the perfume over them.
լալով կեցաւ անոր ոտքերուն քով՝ ետեւի կողմը, եւ սկսաւ արցունքով թրջել անոր ոտքերը: Իր գլուխին մազերով կը սրբէր ու կը համբուրէր անոր ոտքերը, եւ օծանելիքով կ՚օծէր:
39 When the Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this he said to himself, “If this man was really a prophet he would know who this woman was who's touching him, and what kind of person she was—that she's a sinner!”
Երբ զինք հրաւիրող Փարիսեցին տեսաւ, ըսաւ ինքնիրեն. «Եթէ ասիկա մարգարէ ըլլար, պիտի գիտնար թէ ո՛վ եւ ինչպիսի՛ կին է իրեն դպչողը, որովհետեւ մեղաւոր է»:
40 Jesus spoke up and said, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” “Tell me, Teacher,” he responded.
Յիսուս պատասխանեց անոր. «Սիմո՛ն, բա՛ն մը ունիմ քեզի ըսելու»: Ան ալ ըսաւ. «Ըսէ՛, վարդապե՛տ»:
41 “Once two people were in debt to a money-lender. One owed five hundred denarii, the other only fifty.
Յիսուս ըսաւ. «Փոխատու մը ունէր երկու պարտապան. մէկը հինգ հարիւր դահեկան կը պարտէր, ու միւսը՝ յիսուն:
42 Neither of them could repay him, so he forgave the debts. Which one will love him the most?”
Երկուքի՛ն ալ շնորհեց պարտքը, քանի կարողութիւն չունէին վճարելու: Հիմա ըսէ՛, անոնցմէ ո՞վ աւելի պիտի սիրէ զայն»:
43 “The one he forgave the most, I would think,” Simon answered. “You're absolutely right,” said Jesus.
Սիմոն պատասխանեց. «Կ՚ենթադրեմ թէ ա՛ն՝ որուն շատ շնորհեց»: Ան ալ ըսաւ անոր. «Շիտա՛կ դատեցիր»:
44 Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, “You see this woman? When I came into your house, you didn't give me water to wash my feet. But she has washed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with her hair.
Ու դառնալով դէպի այդ կինը՝ ըսաւ Սիմոնի. «Կը տեսնե՞ս այս կինը: Ես տունդ մտայ, եւ դուն ջուր չտուիր ոտքերուս. բայց ասիկա իր արցունքով թրջեց ոտքերս, եւ իր մազերով սրբեց:
45 You didn't give me a kiss, but since I came in she hasn't stopped kissing my feet.
Դուն ինծի համբո՛յր մը չտուիր, բայց ասիկա հոս մտնելէս ի վեր՝ չդադրեցաւ ոտքերս համբուրելէ:
46 You didn't anoint my head with oil, but she poured perfume over my feet.
Դուն գլուխս չօծեցիր անուշահոտ իւղով, բայց ասիկա ոտքե՛րս օծեց անուշահոտ օծանելիքով:
47 So I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—that's why she loves so much. But whoever is forgiven little, only loves a little.”
Ուստի կը յայտարարեմ քեզի. “Ասոր բազմաթիւ մեղքերը ներուած են, որովհետեւ շատ սիրեց. բայց ա՛ն՝ որուն քիչ կը ներուի, անիկա քիչ կը սիրէ”.
48 Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins have been forgiven.”
Եւ ըսաւ անոր. «Քու մեղքերդ ներուած են»:
49 Those who were sitting eating with him began talking among themselves, saying, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
Իրեն հետ սեղան նստողները սկսան ըսել իրենց մէջ. «Ո՞վ է ասիկա՝ որ մեղքերն ալ կը ներէ»:
50 But Jesus told the woman, “Your trust has saved you, go in peace.”
Իսկ ինք ըսաւ կնոջ. «Հաւատքդ փրկեց քեզ, գնա՛ խաղաղութեամբ»:
