John 16
1 I've told you this so you won't give up your trust in me.
୧“ମୀ ନାମୁତି ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ପିହ୍ଅତେରି, ଈଦାଆଁତାକି ଈ ବାରେ କାତା ୱେସାମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ ।
2 They will expel you from the synagogues—in fact the time is coming when those who kill you will think they are doing God a service.
୨ଏ଼ୱାରି ମିଙ୍ଗେ କୁଲମଟି ହ଼ପ୍ହାନେରି, ଇଲେତି ଦିନା ୱା଼ହିମାନେ, ଏଚେ଼ତା ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ମିଙ୍ଗେ ପା଼ୟାନେସି, ଏ଼ୱାସି ମାହାପୂରୁ ତାକି ଜହରାତି ପୂଜା କିହିମାଇଁ ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ଅଣ୍ପିନେସି ।
3 They'll do this because they have never known the Father or me. I've told you this so that when these things happen, you'll remember what I told you.
୩ଲ଼କୁ ଈ ବାରେ କିୟାନେରି, ଇଚିହିଁ ଏ଼ୱାରି ଆ଼ବା ଆ଼ଆତିଁ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ପୁଞ୍ଜାମାଞ୍ଜଅରି ।
4 I didn't need to tell you this right at the beginning because I was going to be with you.
୪ଈ ବାରେ ଗଟୱି ଆ଼ତିସାରେ, ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସାମାଞ୍ଜାତେଏଁ ଈ କାତା ମୀରୁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ଅଣ୍ପିଦେରି, ଈଦାଆଁତାକି ଈ ବାରେ କାତା ମିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସାମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ । ନା଼ନୁ ମୀ ତଲେ ମାଚାକି ମୂଲୁଟିଏ ଈ ବାରେ କାତା ମିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସାମାଞ୍ଜଅଁ ।”
5 But now I'm going to the one who sent me, and yet not one of you is asking me, ‘Where are you going?’
୫“ସାମା ନା଼ନୁ ନୀଏଁ ନା଼ ପାଣ୍ତାତାଣା ତା଼ଣା ହାଜିମାଇଁ, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ମୀରୁ ଆମ୍ବିୟା ହାଜିମାଞ୍ଜି ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ମୀ ବିତ୍ରାଟି ଆମ୍ବାଆତେରି ନାଙ୍ଗେ ୱେଞ୍ଜି ମାଞ୍ଜଅତେରି ।
6 Of course, now that I've told you, you're full of grief.
୬ସାମା ନା଼ନୁ ଈ ବାରେ କାତା ୱେସାମାଞ୍ଜାନାକି ମୀ ହିୟାଁ ହା଼ରେକା ଦୁକୁ ଆ଼ହିମାନେ ।
7 But I'm telling you the truth: it's better for you that I go away, for if I don't the Comforter won't come to you. If I go away, I will send him to you.
୭ସାମା ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ସାତା ୱେସିମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ, ନା଼ନୁ ହାନାୟି ମିଙ୍ଗେତାକି ନେହେଁ, ଇଚିହିଁ ନା଼ନୁ ହାଲାଆସାରେ ଏ଼ ସା଼ୟେମି କିନାୟି ମୀ ତା଼ଣା ୱା଼ଏ, ସାମା ନା଼ନୁ ହାଚିସାରେ ଏ଼ଦାଣି ମୀ ତା଼ଣା ପାଣ୍ତାଇଁ ।
8 When he comes, he will convince those in the world that they have wrong ideas regarding sin, about what is right, and about judgment:
୮ଏ଼ଦି ୱା଼ହାନା ପା଼ପୁ, ଦାର୍ମୁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ମାହାପୂରୁତି ବିଚାରାତି କାତା ଈ ଦାର୍ତିତି ଲ଼କୁଣି ୱେହ୍ନେ;
9 Sin, for they don't trust in me.
୯ପା଼ପୁତି କାତା, ଇଚିହିଁ ଏ଼ୱାରି ନା଼ ତା଼ଣା ନାମା ହିଲଅରି;
10 What is right, for I'm going to the Father and you won't see me any longer.
୧୦ଦାର୍ମୁତି କାତା, ଇଚିହିଁ ନା଼ନୁ ଆ଼ବା ତା଼ଣା ହାଜିମାଇଁ ମୀରୁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ମେସ୍ତଅତେରି;
11 Judgment, for the ruler of this world has been condemned.
୧୧ବିଚାରାତି କାତା, ଇଚିହିଁ ଈ ଦାର୍ତି ସା଼ଲୱି କିନାରି ବିଚାରା କିୱି ଆ଼ହାମାନେରି ।”
12 There's much more I want to explain to you, but you couldn't stand it now.
୧୨“ମିଙ୍ଗେ ନା଼ନୁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ହା଼ରେକା କାତା ୱେସ୍ତାନାୟିମାନେ, ସାମା ନୀଏଁ ମୀରୁ ଏ଼ ବାରେ ଅ଼ର୍ହାଲି ଆ଼ଡଅତେରି
13 However, when the Spirit of truth comes, he will teach you the whole truth. He doesn't speak for himself, but he only says what he hears, and he will tell you what's going to happen.
୧୩ସାମା ସାତାତି ଜୀୱୁ ୱା଼ତିସାରେ, ଏ଼ଦି ବାରେ ସାତାତି ତେଲ୍ହାଲି ବା଼ଡ଼୍ୟୁ ହିୟାନେ, ଏ଼ଦି ମିଙ୍ଗେ ଜିରୁ ତ଼ସାନା ତାନିତା଼ଣାଟି ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ୱେହ୍ଏ, ମାହାପୂରୁ ତା଼ଣାଟି ଏ଼ନା ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ୱେଞ୍ଜାମାନେ ୱାର୍ଇ ଏଚେକେଏ ୱେହ୍ନେ, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏ଼ନାୟି ଆ଼ହାଲି ହାଜିମାନେ ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ଏ଼ଦି ୱେସ୍ତାନେ ।
14 He brings me glory for he teaches you whatever he receives from me.
୧୪ଏ଼ୱାସି ନାଙ୍ଗେ ଗାୱୁରମି କିୟାନେସି, ଇଚିହିଁ ନା଼ ତା଼ଣାଟି ବାରେ କାତା ପୁଞ୍ଜାନା ଏ଼ଦି ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ମୀ ତା଼ଣା ୱେସ୍ତାନେ ।
15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. This is why I said that the Spirit teaches you whatever he receives from me.
୧୫ଏ଼ନା ଏ଼ନାୟି ଆ଼ବାୱାୟି, ଏ଼ ବାରେ ନା଼ଦି; ଈଦାଆଁତାକି ନା଼ନୁ ଏଲେଇଞ୍ଜାତେଏଁ, ଏ଼ୱାସି ନା଼ କାତା ଅ଼ହାନା ମିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସ୍ତାନେସି ।”
16 In a little while you won't see me anymore, but then a little while after that you will see me.”
୧୬“ଗା଼ଡ଼େକା ଜେ଼ଚ ମୀରୁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ମେସ୍ତଅତେରି, ସାମା ଏଚରଦିନା ଜେ଼ଚ ମେସ୍ତାଦେରି ।”
17 Some of his disciples said to one another, “What does he mean, ‘In a little while you won't see me, but a little while after that you will see me’? and ‘For I'm going to the Father’?”
୧୭ଏଚେଟିଏ ତାନି ସୀସୁୟାଁ ବିତ୍ରାଟି ଆମ୍ବା ଆମ୍ବାଆରି ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ଗା଼ଡ଼େକା ଜେ଼ଚ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ମେସ୍ତଅତେରି, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏଚରଦିନା ହାଚି ଡା଼ୟୁ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ମେସ୍ତାଦେରି, ନା଼ନୁ ଆ଼ବା ତା଼ଣା ହାଜିମାଇଁ, ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏମିନି କାତା ମାଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସ୍ତାତେସି, ଈଦି ଏ଼ନାୟି?”
18 They were asking, “What does he mean by ‘in a little while’? We don't know what he's talking about.”
୧୮ଏ଼ୱାରି ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ଗା଼ଡ଼େକା ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ଏଲେଇଞ୍ଜି ମାନେସି? ଏ଼ୱାସି ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ଏଲେଇଞ୍ଜି ମାନେସି ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ତେଲ୍ହାଲି ଆ଼ଡିହିଲଅମି ।”
19 Jesus realized that they wanted to ask him about this. So he asked them, “Are you wondering about my comment, ‘In a little while you won't see me, but a little while after that you will see me’?
୧୯ସୀସୁୟାଁ ତାଙ୍ଗ ୱେଞ୍ଜାଲି ଅଣ୍ପିମାନେରି ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ପୁଞ୍ଜାନା ଜୀସୁ ଏ଼ୱାରାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ଗା଼ଡ଼େକା ଜେ଼ଚ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ମେସ୍ତଅତେରି, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଏଚରଦିନା ହାଚି ଡା଼ୟୁ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ମେସ୍ତାଦେରି, ନା଼ନୁ ଈ ଏମିନି କାତା ମିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସ୍ତାତେଏଁ, ଏ଼ କାତାତାକି ଏ଼ନାଆଁତାକି ମୀରୁ ବା଼ଦିବା଼ଦା ଆ଼ହିମାଞ୍ଜେରି?
20 I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will turn into joy.
୨୦ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ସାତା ୱେସିମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ, ମୀରୁ ଦୁକୁଆ଼ହିଁ ଡ଼ୀଦେରି, ସାମା ଦାର୍ତି ରା଼ହାଁ କିନେ; ମୀରୁ ଦୁକୁ ଆ଼ଦେରି, ସାମା ମୀ ଦୁକୁ ରା଼ହାଁତା ତିରି ମୀଣ୍ନେ ।
21 A woman in labor suffers pain because her time has come, but once the baby is born, she forgets the agony because of the joy that a child has been brought into the world.
୨୧ଜାର୍ନିକିନି ବେ଼ଲା ୱା଼ତିସାରେ ଇୟା ଦୁକୁ ବେଟାଆ଼ନେ; ସାମା ଏ଼ଦି କକାଣାଇଁ ଜାର୍ନି କିତି ଡା଼ୟୁ ଦାର୍ତିତା ର଼ ମାଣ୍ସି ଜାର୍ନା ଆ଼ହାମାନେସି, ଈ ରା଼ହାଁତାକି କସ୍ତତି ଅଣ୍ପେଏଦେଁ ।
22 Yes, you're grieving now, but I will see you again; and you will rejoice, and no one can take away your joy.
୨୨ଏଲେକିହିଁଏ ମୀରୁ ନୀଏଁ ଦୁକୁ ବେଟାଆ଼ହିମାଞ୍ଜେରି, ସାମା ନା଼ନୁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ୱେଣ୍ତେ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ତ଼ଞ୍ଜା ଆୟାଇଁ, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ମୀ ହିୟାଁ ରା଼ହାଁ ଆ଼ନେ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ମୀ ତା଼ଣାଟି ମୀ ରା଼ହାଁ ମୀଞ୍ଜା ଅୟଅସି ।”
23 When that time comes you won't need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
୨୩“ଏ଼ ଦିନା ମୀରୁ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ୱେଞ୍ଜଅତେରି । ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ସାତା ୱେସିମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ, ମୀରୁ ଆ଼ବାଇଁ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ରୀହ୍ଦେରି, ଏ଼ୱାସି ନା଼ ଦ଼ରୁତଲେ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ହିୟାନେସି ।
24 Until now you haven't asked for anything in my name, so ask and you shall receive, and your happiness will be complete.
୨୪ନୀଏଁ ପାତେକା ନା଼ ଦ଼ରୁତଲେ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ରୀସା ହିଲଅତେରି; ରୀହ୍ଦୁ, ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ମୀ ରା଼ହାଁ ଗାଡି ଆ଼ନେ, ଏ଼ଦାଆଁତାକି ମୀରୁ ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ବେଟାଆ଼ଦେରି ।”
25 I've been talking to you using picture language. But soon I won't use such picture language any more when I speak to you. Instead I'll explain the Father to you very plainly.
୨୫“ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ପୁଣ୍ମ୍ବିକିନି କାତାତଲେ ଈ ବାରେ ୱେସାମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ; ଦିନା ୱା଼ହିମାନେ, ଏଚିବେ଼ଲା ନା଼ନୁ ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ପୁଣ୍ମ୍ବିକିନି କାତାତଲେ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସ୍ତଅଁ, ଆ଼ବାତି କାତା ତୀରେତଲେ ୱେସ୍ତାଇଁ ।
26 At that time you will ask in my name. I'm not saying to you that I will plead with the Father on your behalf,
୨୬ଏ଼ ଦିନା ମୀରୁ ନା଼ ଦ଼ରୁତଲେ ରୀହ୍ଦେରି; ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନା଼ନୁ ମୀ ୱାକିଟି ଆ଼ବାଇଁ ବାତିମା଼ଲିଇଁ, ଈ କାତା ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେସିମାଞ୍ଜଅଁ;
27 for the Father himself loves you—because you love me and believe that I came from God.
୨୭ଇଚିହିଁ ଆ଼ବା ତା଼ନୁଏ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ଜୀୱୁ ନ଼ହାଁମାଞ୍ଜାନେସି, ମୀରୁ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ଜୀୱୁନ଼ହିଁ ମାଞ୍ଜାଦେରି ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନା଼ନୁ ମାହାପୂରୁ ତା଼ଣାଟି ୱା଼ହାମାଇଁ, ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ମୀରୁ ନାମାମାଞ୍ଜେରି ।
28 I left the Father and came into the world; now I leave the world and return to my Father.”
୨୮ନା଼ନୁ ଆ଼ବା ତା଼ଣାଟି ଦାର୍ତିତା ୱା଼ହାମାଇଁ; ଦାର୍ତି ପିସାନା ୱେଣ୍ତେ ଆ଼ବା ତା଼ଣା ହାଜିମାଇଁ ।”
29 Then the disciples said, “Now you're talking very plainly and not using picture language.
୨୯ଈ ହା଼ଡା ୱେଞ୍ଜାନା ସୀସୁୟାଁ ଏ଼ୱାଣାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେରି, “ନୀଏଁ ନୀନୁ ପୁଣ୍ମ୍ବିକିନି କାତା ଲେ଼ମ୍ବାଆନା ତୀରେତଲେ ୱେସିମାଞ୍ଜି ।
30 Now we're certain that you know everything, and that in order to know what questions people are thinking you don't need to ask them. This convinces us that you came from God.”
୩୦ନୀନୁ ବାରେ କାତା ପୁଞ୍ଜାମାଞ୍ଜି, ଆମ୍ବାଆସି ନିଙ୍ଗେ ୱେଞ୍ଜାନାୟି ଲ଼ଡ଼ା ହିଲେଏ, ଏ଼ଦାଆଁ ନୀଏଁ ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ପୁଚମି; ମାହାପୂରୁ ତା଼ଣାଟି ୱା଼ହାମାଞ୍ଜି ଇଞ୍ଜିଁ ମା଼ମ୍ବୁ ଈ କାତା ନାମି ମାନମି ।”
31 “Are you really convinced now?” Jesus asked.
୩୧ଜୀସୁ ଏ଼ୱାରାଇଁ ଏଲେଇଚେସି, “ମୀରୁ ଏ଼ନାଆଁ ନୀଏଁ ନାମିମାଞ୍ଜେରି?
32 “The time is coming—in fact it's just about to happen—when you will be scattered, each of you to your own homes, leaving me all alone. But I'm not really alone, for the Father is with me.
୩୨ମେହ୍ଦୁ ଦିନା ୱା଼ହିମାନେ, ଏ଼ ବେ଼ଲା ୱା଼ତେୟିଏ, ଏଚିବେ଼ଲା ମୀରୁ ଇତାଲା ଆତାଲା ଆ଼ହାନା ବାରେଜା଼ଣା ଜାହାରା ଇଜ ହାଜେରି, ଅ଼ଡ଼େ ନାଙ୍ଗେ ରଅତେଏଁ କିୟାଦେରି; ଆ଼ତିଜିକେଏ ନା଼ନୁ ରଅତେଏଁ ଆ଼ଏ, ଇଚିହିଁ ଆ଼ବା ନା଼ ତଲେ ମାନେସି ।
33 I've told you all this so that you may have peace because you are one with me. You will suffer in this world, but be brave—I have defeated the world!”
୩୩ମୀରୁ ଏ଼ନିକିଁ ନା଼ ତା଼ଣାଟି ହିତ୍ଡ଼ି ବେଟାଆ଼ଦେରି, ଏ଼ଦାଆଁତାକି ନା଼ନୁ ମିଙ୍ଗେ ଈ ବାରେ କାତା ୱେସାମାଞ୍ଜାଇଁ । ଦାର୍ତିତା ମିଙ୍ଗେତାକି ହା଼ରେକା ସା଼ସ୍ତି ମାନେ, ସାମା ସା଼ସା ଆହ୍ଦୁ; ଇଚିହିଁ ନା଼ନୁ ଦାର୍ତିତି ଜୀଣା ଆ଼ହାମାଇଁ ।”
