John 10
1 “I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't come in through the gate of the sheepfold but climbs in some other way is a thief and a robber.
અહં યુષ્માનતિયથાર્થં વદામિ, યો જનો દ્વારેણ ન પ્રવિશ્ય કેનાપ્યન્યેન મેષગૃહં પ્રવિશતિ સ એવ સ્તેનો દસ્યુશ્ચ|
2 The one who comes in through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
યો દ્વારેણ પ્રવિશતિ સ એવ મેષપાલકઃ|
3 The gatekeeper opens it for him, and the sheep respond to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
દૌવારિકસ્તસ્મૈ દ્વારં મોચયતિ મેષગણશ્ચ તસ્ય વાક્યં શૃણોતિ સ નિજાન્ મેષાન્ સ્વસ્વનામ્નાહૂય બહિઃ કૃત્વા નયતિ|
4 After bringing them out, he walks ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they recognize his voice.
તથા નિજાન્ મેષાન્ બહિઃ કૃત્વા સ્વયં તેષામ્ અગ્રે ગચ્છતિ, તતો મેષાસ્તસ્ય શબ્દં બુધ્યન્તે, તસ્માત્ તસ્ય પશ્ચાદ્ વ્રજન્તિ|
5 They won't follow strangers. In fact they run away from a stranger because they don't recognize the voice of strangers.”
કિન્તુ પરસ્ય શબ્દં ન બુધ્યન્તે તસ્માત્ તસ્ય પશ્ચાદ્ વ્રજિષ્યન્તિ વરં તસ્ય સમીપાત્ પલાયિષ્યન્તે|
6 When Jesus gave this illustration those who were listening to him didn't understand what he meant.
યીશુસ્તેભ્ય ઇમાં દૃષ્ટાન્તકથામ્ અકથયત્ કિન્તુ તેન કથિતકથાયાસ્તાત્પર્ય્યં તે નાબુધ્યન્ત|
7 So Jesus explained again, “I tell you the truth: I am the gate of the sheepfold.
અતો યીશુઃ પુનરકથયત્, યુષ્માનાહં યથાર્થતરં વ્યાહરામિ, મેષગૃહસ્ય દ્વારમ્ અહમેવ|
8 All those who came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn't listen to them.
મયા ન પ્રવિશ્ય ય આગચ્છન્ તે સ્તેના દસ્યવશ્ચ કિન્તુ મેષાસ્તેષાં કથા નાશૃણ્વન્|
9 I am the gate. Anyone who comes in through me will be healed. They will be able to come and go, and find the food they need.
અહમેવ દ્વારસ્વરૂપઃ, મયા યઃ કશ્ચિત પ્રવિશતિ સ રક્ષાં પ્રાપ્સ્યતિ તથા બહિરન્તશ્ચ ગમનાગમને કૃત્વા ચરણસ્થાનં પ્રાપ્સ્યતિ|
10 The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I've come to bring you life, life full to overflowing.
યો જનસ્તેનઃ સ કેવલં સ્તૈન્યબધવિનાશાન્ કર્ત્તુમેવ સમાયાતિ કિન્ત્વહમ્ આયુ ર્દાતુમ્ અર્થાત્ બાહૂલ્યેન તદેવ દાતુમ્ આગચ્છમ્|
11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
અહમેવ સત્યમેષપાલકો યસ્તુ સત્યો મેષપાલકઃ સ મેષાર્થં પ્રાણત્યાગં કરોતિ;
12 The man paid to look after the sheep is not the shepherd and he runs away when he sees the wolf coming. He abandons the sheep because they're not his, and the wolf attacks and scatters the flock
કિન્તુ યો જનો મેષપાલકો ન, અર્થાદ્ યસ્ય મેષા નિજા ન ભવન્તિ, ય એતાદૃશો વૈતનિકઃ સ વૃકમ્ આગચ્છન્તં દૃષ્ટ્વા મેજવ્રજં વિહાય પલાયતે, તસ્માદ્ વૃકસ્તં વ્રજં ધૃત્વા વિકિરતિ|
13 for the man is only working for pay and doesn't care about the sheep.
વૈતનિકઃ પલાયતે યતઃ સ વેતનાર્થી મેષાર્થં ન ચિન્તયતિ|
14 I am the good shepherd. I know who are mine, and they know me,
અહમેવ સત્યો મેષપાલકઃ, પિતા માં યથા જાનાતિ, અહઞ્ચ યથા પિતરં જાનામિ,
15 just as the Father knows me and I know him. I lay down my life for the sheep.
તથા નિજાન્ મેષાનપિ જાનામિ, મેષાશ્ચ માં જાનાન્તિ, અહઞ્ચ મેષાર્થં પ્રાણત્યાગં કરોમિ|
16 I have other sheep that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them too. They will listen to my voice and there will be one flock with one shepherd.
અપરઞ્ચ એતદ્ ગૃહીય મેષેભ્યો ભિન્ના અપિ મેષા મમ સન્તિ તે સકલા આનયિતવ્યાઃ; તે મમ શબ્દં શ્રોષ્યન્તિ તત એકો વ્રજ એકો રક્ષકો ભવિષ્યતિ|
17 This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so I may take it up again.
પ્રાણાનહં ત્યક્ત્વા પુનઃ પ્રાણાન્ ગ્રહીષ્યામિ, તસ્માત્ પિતા મયિ સ્નેહં કરોતિ|
18 No one takes it from me; I choose to lay it down. I have the right to give it up, and I have the right to take it back. This is the command my Father gave me.”
કશ્ચિજ્જનો મમ પ્રાણાન્ હન્તું ન શક્નોતિ કિન્તુ સ્વયં તાન્ સમર્પયામિ તાન્ સમર્પયિતું પુનર્ગ્રહીતુઞ્ચ મમ શક્તિરાસ્તે ભારમિમં સ્વપિતુઃ સકાશાત્ પ્રાપ્તોહમ્|
19 The Jews were again divided in their opinion about Jesus over these words.
અસ્માદુપદેશાત્ પુનશ્ચ યિહૂદીયાનાં મધ્યે ભિન્નવાક્યતા જાતા|
20 Many of them said, “He's demon-possessed! He's mad! Why are you listening to him?”
તતો બહવો વ્યાહરન્ એષ ભૂતગ્રસ્ત ઉન્મત્તશ્ચ, કુત એતસ્ય કથાં શૃણુથ?
21 Others said, “These aren't the words of someone who's demon-possessed. Besides, a demon can't open eyes that are blind.”
કેચિદ્ અવદન્ એતસ્ય કથા ભૂતગ્રસ્તસ્ય કથાવન્ન ભવન્તિ, ભૂતઃ કિમ્ અન્ધાય ચક્ષુષી દાતું શક્નોતિ?
22 It was winter, and the time of the Festival of Dedication in Jerusalem.
શીતકાલે યિરૂશાલમિ મન્દિરોત્સર્ગપર્વ્વણ્યુપસ્થિતે
23 Jesus was walking in the Temple through Solomon's porch. The Jews surrounded him, asking,
યીશુઃ સુલેમાનો નિઃસારેણ ગમનાગમને કરોતિ,
24 “How long are you going to keep us hanging in suspense? If you are the Messiah then tell us plainly!”
એતસ્મિન્ સમયે યિહૂદીયાસ્તં વેષ્ટયિત્વા વ્યાહરન્ કતિ કાલાન્ અસ્માકં વિચિકિત્સાં સ્થાપયિષ્યામિ? યદ્યભિષિક્તો ભવતિ તર્હિ તત્ સ્પષ્ટં વદ|
25 Jesus replied, “I already told you but you refuse to believe it. The miracles I do in my Father's name prove who I am.
તદા યીશુઃ પ્રત્યવદદ્ અહમ્ અચકથં કિન્તુ યૂયં ન પ્રતીથ, નિજપિતુ ર્નામ્ના યાં યાં ક્રિયાં કરોમિ સા ક્રિયૈવ મમ સાક્ષિસ્વરૂપા|
26 You don't believe me because you are not my sheep.
કિન્ત્વહં પૂર્વ્વમકથયં યૂયં મમ મેષા ન ભવથ, કારણાદસ્માન્ ન વિશ્વસિથ|
27 My sheep recognize my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
મમ મેષા મમ શબ્દં શૃણ્વન્તિ તાનહં જાનામિ તે ચ મમ પશ્ચાદ્ ગચ્છન્તિ|
29 My Father who gave them to me is greater than anyone else; no one can snatch them from him.
યો મમ પિતા તાન્ મહ્યં દત્તવાન્ સ સર્વ્વસ્માત્ મહાન્, કોપિ મમ પિતુઃ કરાત્ તાન્ હર્ત્તું ન શક્ષ્યતિ|
30 I and the Father are one.”
અહં પિતા ચ દ્વયોરેકત્વમ્|
31 Once again the Jews picked up stones to stone him.
તતો યિહૂદીયાઃ પુનરપિ તં હન્તું પાષાણાન્ ઉદતોલયન્|
32 Jesus said to them, “You've seen many good deeds that I've done from the Father. Which one are you stoning me for?”
યીશુઃ કથિતવાન્ પિતુઃ સકાશાદ્ બહૂન્યુત્તમકર્મ્માણિ યુષ્માકં પ્રાકાશયં તેષાં કસ્ય કર્મ્મણઃ કારણાન્ માં પાષાણૈરાહન્તુમ્ ઉદ્યતાઃ સ્થ?
33 The Jews replied, “We're not stoning you for a good deed, but for blasphemy because you are just a man but you're claiming to be God.”
યિહૂદીયાઃ પ્રત્યવદન્ પ્રશસ્તકર્મ્મહેતો ર્ન કિન્તુ ત્વં માનુષઃ સ્વમીશ્વરમ્ ઉક્ત્વેશ્વરં નિન્દસિ કારણાદસ્માત્ ત્વાં પાષાણૈર્હન્મઃ|
34 Jesus answered them, “Isn't it written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’?
તદા યીશુઃ પ્રત્યુક્તવાન્ મયા કથિતં યૂયમ્ ઈશ્વરા એતદ્વચનં યુષ્માકં શાસ્ત્રે લિખિતં નાસ્તિ કિં?
35 He called those people ‘gods,’ the people to whom the word of God came—and Scripture can't be altered.
તસ્માદ્ યેષામ્ ઉદ્દેશે ઈશ્વરસ્ય કથા કથિતા તે યદીશ્વરગણા ઉચ્યન્તે ધર્મ્મગ્રન્થસ્યાપ્યન્યથા ભવિતું ન શક્યં,
36 So why are you saying the one whom the Father set apart and sent into the world is blaspheming because I said ‘I am the Son of God’?
તર્હ્યાહમ્ ઈશ્વરસ્ય પુત્ર ઇતિ વાક્યસ્ય કથનાત્ યૂયં પિત્રાભિષિક્તં જગતિ પ્રેરિતઞ્ચ પુમાંસં કથમ્ ઈશ્વરનિન્દકં વાદય?
37 If I'm not doing what my Father does, then don't believe me.
યદ્યહં પિતુઃ કર્મ્મ ન કરોમિ તર્હિ માં ન પ્રતીત;
38 But if that is what I'm doing, even though you don't believe me, you should believe because of the evidence of what I've done. That way you can know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
કિન્તુ યદિ કરોમિ તર્હિ મયિ યુષ્માભિઃ પ્રત્યયે ન કૃતેઽપિ કાર્ય્યે પ્રત્યયઃ ક્રિયતાં, તતો મયિ પિતાસ્તીતિ પિતર્ય્યહમ્ અસ્મીતિ ચ ક્ષાત્વા વિશ્વસિષ્યથ|
39 Once again they tried to arrest him, but he escaped from them.
તદા તે પુનરપિ તં ધર્ત્તુમ્ અચેષ્ટન્ત કિન્તુ સ તેષાં કરેભ્યો નિસ્તીર્ય્ય
40 He went back across the Jordan River to the place where John had begun baptizing, and he stayed there.
પુન ર્યર્દ્દન્ અદ્યાસ્તટે યત્ર પુર્વ્વં યોહન્ અમજ્જયત્ તત્રાગત્ય ન્યવસત્|
41 Many people came to him, and they said, “John didn't perform miracles, but everything he said about this man has come true.”
તતો બહવો લોકાસ્તત્સમીપમ્ આગત્ય વ્યાહરન્ યોહન્ કિમપ્યાશ્ચર્ય્યં કર્મ્મ નાકરોત્ કિન્ત્વસ્મિન્ મનુષ્યે યા યઃ કથા અકથયત્ તાઃ સર્વ્વાઃ સત્યાઃ;
42 Many who were there put their trust in Jesus.
તત્ર ચ બહવો લોકાસ્તસ્મિન્ વ્યશ્વસન્|
