Genesis 12
1 The Lord told Abram, “Leave your country, your relatives, your family home, and travel to the country I'm going to show you.
১যিহোৱাই অব্ৰামক ক’লে, “তুমি তোমাৰ নিজৰ দেশ, তোমাৰ আত্মীয়-স্বজন আৰু তোমাৰ পিতৃৰ ঘৰ ত্যাগ কৰি মই যি দেশ তোমাক দেখুৱাম সেই দেশলৈ যোৱা।
2 I will make you the ancestor of a great nation and I will bless you. I will make sure you have a great reputation and that you are a blessing to others.
২মই তোমাৰ পৰা এক মহাজাতি সৃষ্টি কৰিম আৰু তোমাক আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰি তোমাৰ নাম খ্যাতিমন্ত কৰিম; তাতে তুমি আশীৰ্ব্বাদৰ আকৰ হ’বা।
3 I will bless those who bless you; I will curse those who curse you. Everyone on earth will be blessed through you.”
৩যিসকলে তোমাক আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰে, মই তেওঁলোকক আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰিম আৰু যিসকলে তোমাক শাও দিয়ে, মই তেওঁলোকক শাও দিম। তোমাৰ দ্বাৰায়েই পৃথিৱীৰ সমুদায় গোষ্ঠীয়ে আশীৰ্ব্বাদ পাব।”
4 So Abram left following the Lord's instructions, and Lot went with him. Abram was 75 when he left Haran.
৪পাছত অব্ৰামে যিহোৱাৰ কথা মতে যাত্ৰা কৰিলে আৰু লোট তেওঁৰ লগত গ’ল। হাৰণ নগৰৰ পৰা ওলাই যোৱাৰ সময়ত অব্ৰামৰ বয়স আছিল পঁয়সত্তৰ বছৰ।
5 With him went his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, together with all the possessions they had collected and the people that had joined them in Harran. They left for the land of Canaan. When they arrived there,
৫অব্ৰামে তেওঁৰ ভার্য্যা চাৰী আৰু ভতিজা পুতেক লোটক লগত লৈ ওলাই গ’ল। তেওঁৰ সকলো উপাৰ্জিত ধন, সম্পত্তি আৰু তেওঁ হাৰণত পোৱা সকলো দাসবোৰক লৈ কনান দেশ অভিমুখে যাত্রা কৰিলে। পাছত তেওঁলোকে কনান দেশ গৈ পালে।
6 Abram traveled on through the country as far as a place called Shechem, stopping at the oak tree of Moreh. At that time the country was occupied by Canaanites.
৬কনান দেশৰ মাজেদি অব্ৰাম চিখিম নগৰলৈ গ’ল আৰু তাৰ পাছত মোৰিৰ ওক গছজোপা পর্যন্ত গ’ল। সেইসময়ত কনানীয়াসকলে সেই দেশত বাস কৰিছিল।
7 The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I'm going to give this land to your descendants.” So Abram built an altar to the Lord there because that was where the Lord appeared to him.
৭পাছত যিহোৱাই অব্ৰামক দৰ্শন দি ক’লে, “এই দেশখনকে মই তোমাৰ বংশক দিম।” তাতে অব্রামে তেওঁক দৰ্শন দিয়া যিহোৱাৰ উদ্দেশ্যে সেই ঠাইত এটা যজ্ঞবেদী নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিলে।
8 Then he moved on to the hill country east of Bethel and set up camp there. Bethel was to the west and Ai to the east. He built an altar to the Lord there and worshiped him.
৮তাৰ পাছত চিখিমৰ পৰা অব্রামে বৈৎএলৰ পূবফালে পাহাৰীয়া এলেকালৈ আগুৱাই গ’ল আৰু তাত তেওঁ বৈৎএলক পশ্চিম আৰু অয়ক পূব কৰি তম্বু তৰিলে; সেই ঠাইতো তেওঁ যিহোৱালৈ এটা যজ্ঞ-বেদী নিৰ্ম্মাণ কৰিলে আৰু যিহোৱাৰ নামেৰে প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিলে।
9 After that he went on his way, heading towards the Negev.
৯তাৰ পাছত অব্ৰামে পুনৰ যাত্রা আৰম্ভ কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁ নেগেভৰ ফালে অগ্রসৰ হ’ল।
10 But the land had been hit by famine. So Abram continued on to Egypt, planning to live there because the famine was so bad.
১০পাছত কনান দেশত আকাল হ’ল; আকাল অতিশয়ৰূপে বৃদ্ধি হোৱাত অব্ৰামে মিচৰ দেশত প্ৰবাস কৰিবলৈ নামি গ’ল।
11 As he approached Egypt and was about to cross the border, he said to his wife Sarai, “Look, I know what a beautiful woman you are.
১১তেওঁ মিচৰ দেশত প্রৱেশ কৰাৰ ঠিক আগমুহূর্তত তেওঁৰ ভাৰ্যা চাৰীক ক’লে, “শুনা, মই জানো তুমি এগৰাকী সুন্দৰী মহিলা।
12 When the Egyptians see you, they'll say, ‘She's his wife,’ and they'll kill me but not you!
১২তোমাক যেতিয়া মিচৰীয়াসকলে দেখিব, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে ক’ব, ‘এই মহিলাগৰাকী সেই লোকজনৰ ভাৰ্যা।’ পাছত তেওঁলোকে মোক বধ কৰি তোমাক জীয়াই ৰাখিব।
13 Tell them you're my sister so I'll be treated well because of you, and my life will be spared for your sake.”
১৩সেয়ে তুমি ক’বা যে, তুমি মোৰ ভনী হয়। তাতে তোমাৰ কাৰণে মোলৈ ভাল হ’ব পাৰে আৰু মোৰ প্ৰাণো ৰক্ষা পৰিব পাৰে।”
14 When Abram arrived in Egypt, the people there saw how beautiful Sarai was.
১৪অব্ৰাম যেতিয়া মিচৰ দেশত সোমাল, তেতিয়া মিচৰীয়াসকলে চাৰীক অতি সুন্দৰী দেখিলে।
15 Pharaoh's officials also noticed and spoke positively about her to Pharaoh. So Sarai was taken to his palace to become one of his wives.
১৫ফৰৌণৰ ৰাজপুত্রসকলেও চাৰীক দেখা পাই ফৰৌণ ৰজাৰ আগত তেওঁৰ প্রশংসা কৰিলে। ফলত চাৰীক ফৰৌণৰ ৰাজপ্রাসাদলৈ লৈ গ’ল।
16 Pharaoh treated Abram well because of her, giving him sheep and cattle, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels.
১৬চাৰীৰ কাৰণে ফৰৌণে অব্ৰামলৈ ভাল ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে; তেওঁ অব্রামক অনেক মেৰ-ছাগ, গৰু, গাধ, গাধী, দাস-দাসী আৰু উট দিলে।
17 But the Lord caused Pharaoh and the people in his palace to suffer from terrible diseases because of Sarai, Abram's wife.
১৭কিন্তু অব্ৰামৰ ভাৰ্যা চাৰীৰ কাৰণে যিহোৱাই ফৰৌণ আৰু তেওঁৰ পৰিয়ালৰ সকলো লোকৰ মাজত ভয়ঙ্কৰ মহামাৰী ঘটালে।
18 So Pharaoh ordered Abram brought to him and said, “What have you done to me? Why didn't you tell me that she was your wife?
১৮ফৰৌণে অব্ৰামক মাতি ক’লে, “আপুনি মোৰ লগত এইটো কি কাম কৰিলে? এওঁ যে আপোনাৰ ভাৰ্যা, তাক মোক কিয় কোৱা নাছিল?
19 Why did you say, ‘She's my sister,’ and let me take her to become one of my wives? So here's your wife! Take her and leave!”
১৯আপুনি কিয় ‘তাই মোৰ ভনী’ বুলি কৈছিল? সেই কাৰণেহে মই তেওঁক বিয়া কৰিবলৈ আনিছিলোঁ। এতিয়া, এয়া আপোনাৰ ভাৰ্যা; তেওঁক লৈ আপুনি গুছি যাওঁক।”
20 Pharaoh ordered his guards to expel him and his wife from the country, along with everyone with them and all their possessions.
২০তাৰ পাছতে অব্রামৰ বিষয়ে ফৰৌণে তেওঁৰ লোকসকলক আজ্ঞা দিলে আৰু তেওঁলোকে অব্রামক তেওঁৰ ভার্য্যা আৰু তেওঁৰ সকলো সম্পদেৰে সৈতে দূৰলৈ পঠিয়াই দিলে।
