Ezekiel 2

1 “Stand up, son of man, because I want to talk to you,” he said to me.

Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, tritt auf deine Füße, so will ich mit dir reden.

2 As he spoke to me, the Spirit entered me and had me stand up. I listened to him speaking to me.

Und da er so mit mir redete, ward ich wieder erquickt und trat auf meine Füße und hörete dem zu, der mit mir redete.

3 “Son of man,” he told me, “I'm sending you to the people of Israel, a disobedient nation that has rebelled against me. They and their forefathers have continued to rebel against me, even up to today.

Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, ich sende dich zu den Kindern Israel, zu dem abtrünnigen Volk, so von mir abtrünnig worden sind. Sie samt ihren Vätern haben bis auf diesen heutigen Tag wider mich getan.

4 They are pig-headed; they are hard-hearted children. I am sending you to tell them that this is what the Lord God says.

Aber die Kinder, zu welchen ich dich sende, haben harte Köpfe und verstockte Herzen. Zu denen sollst du sagen: So spricht der HERR HERR!

5 Whether they listen or not—for they are a rebellious people—they will realize that a prophet has come to them.

Sie gehorchen oder lassen's. Es ist wohl ein ungehorsam Haus; dennoch sollen sie wissen, daß ein Prophet unter ihnen ist.

6 Son of man, don't be afraid of them or what they say. You don't need to be afraid even though you're surrounded by brambles and thorns, even though you live among scorpions. Don't be afraid of what they say or be discouraged by the way they look at you, even though they are a rebellious family.

Und du, Menschenkind, sollst dich vor ihnen nicht fürchten noch vor ihren Worten fürchten. Es sind wohl widerspenstige und stachlige Dornen bei dir, und du wohnest unter den Skorpionen; aber du sollst dich nicht fürchten vor ihren Worten noch vor ihrem Angesicht dich entsetzen, ob sie wohl ein ungehorsam Haus sind,

7 Just tell them what I say, whether they listen or not, because they're rebels.

sondern du sollst ihnen mein Wort sagen, sie gehorchen oder lassen's; denn es ist ein ungehorsam Volk.

8 As for you, son of man, pay attention to what I tell you. Don't be rebellious like those rebellious people. Open your mouth and eat what I'm about to give you.”

Aber du, Menschenkind, höre du, was ich dir sage, und sei nicht ungehorsam, wie das ungehorsame Haus ist. Tu deinen Mund auf und iß, was ich dir geben werde.

9 I looked up and saw a hand stretched out to me holding a scroll.

Und ich sah, und siehe, da war eine Hand gegen mich ausgereckt, die hatte einen zusammengelegten Brief.

10 He spread it out in front of me, and there written on both the front and back were words of grief, mourning, and tragedy.

Den breitete sie aus vor mir, und er war beschrieben auswendig und inwendig; und stund drinnen geschrieben: Klage, Ach und Wehe.
