1 Chronicles 13
1 David had discussions with all his leaders, including the army commanders of thousands and hundreds.
૧દાઉદે સહસ્ત્રાધિપતિઓની તથા શતાધિપતિઓની એટલે સર્વ સરદારોની સલાહ લીધી.
2 Then he addressed the whole assembly of Israel, saying, “If you agree, and if God approves, let us send an invitation to every Israelite in the land, including the priests and Levites in their towns and pastures, to come and join us.
૨દાઉદે ઇઝરાયલની આખી સભાને કહ્યું, “જો તમને સારું લાગે અને જો આપણા યહોવાહની ઇચ્છા હોય, તો આપણા જે ભાઈઓ ઇઝરાયલના દેશમાં છે તેઓને તથા પોતાના શહેરોમાં રહેતા યાજકોને અને લેવીઓની પાસે સંદેશાવાહકોને મોકલીને તેઓને આપણી સાથે જોડાવા માટે જણાવીએ.
3 Let us bring the Ark of our God back to us, because we forgot about it during the time of Saul.”
૩આપણા ઈશ્વરનો કરારકોશ આપણી પાસે ફરીથી લાવીએ કેમ કે શાઉલના સમયમાં આપણે તેની ઇચ્છાને શોધતા નહોતા.”
4 The whole assembly was pleased with the proposal, agreeing that this would be a good thing to do.
૪તે બાબતમાં આખી સભા સહમત થઈ, કેમ કે બધા લોકોની દ્રષ્ટિમાં એ જ યોગ્ય હતું.
5 So David summoned all of Israel, from the Shihor River of Egypt up to Lebo-hamath, to help bring the Ark from Kiriath-jearim.
૫તેથી દાઉદે ઈશ્વરના કરારકોશને કિર્યાથ-યારીમથી લાવવા માટે, મિસરના શિહોરથી તે હમાથના નાકા સુધીના સર્વ ઇઝરાયલને ભેગા કર્યા.
6 So David and all of Israel went to Baalah (otherwise called Kiriath-jearim) in Judah to bring back the Ark of God the Lord, whose throne is between the cherubim and who is called by the Name.
૬કરુબો પર બિરાજમાન ઈશ્વર, જે યહોવાહના નામથી ઓળખાય છે, તેમનો કોશ ત્યાંથી લાવવા માટે દાઉદ અને બધા ઇઝરાયલીઓ, બાલાહમાં એટલે યહૂદાના કિર્યાથ-યારીમમાં ભેગા થયા.
7 They loaded the Ark of God onto a brand new cart and brought it from Adinadab's house, with Uzzah and Ahio directing it.
૭તેઓએ ઈશ્વરનો કોશ નવા ગાડામાં મૂક્યો. તેઓ તે અબીનાદાબના ઘરમાંથી લઈ આવ્યા હતા. ઉઝઝા તથા આહ્યો ગાડું હાંકતા હતા.
8 David and all of Israel were celebrating before the Lord as loudly as possible, singing sings and playing music on lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.
૮દાઉદ તથા સર્વ ઇઝરાયલીઓ ગીતો ગાતા હતા અને વીણા, સિતાર, ખંજરી, ઝાંઝ તથા રણશિંગડાં વગાડીને ખૂબ આનંદથી ઈશ્વરની સમક્ષ ઉત્સવ કરતા હતા.
9 But when they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, the oxen stumbled and Uzzah stretched out his hand to stop the Ark falling.
૯જ્યારે તેઓ કિદ્રોનની ખળી આગળ આવ્યા, ત્યારે બળદોને ઠોકર વાગી એટલે ઉઝઝાએ કોશને સંભાળવા માટે પોતાનો હાથ લંબાવીને કોશને પકડ્યો.
10 The Lord was angry with Uzzah for daring to touch the Ark like this so he struck him down, and Uzzah died there before the Lord.
૧૦તેથી યહોવાહનો કોપ ઉઝઝા પર સળગી ઊઠ્યો અને તેને મારી નાખ્યો. કેમ કે ઉઝઝા તે કોશને અડક્યો હતો. તે ત્યાં ઈશ્વર સમક્ષ મૃત્યુ પામ્યો.
11 David became angry with the Lord for his violent outburst against Uzzah. He named the place Perez-uzzah, and it is still called that today.
૧૧દાઉદને ઘણું ખોટું લાગ્યું કેમ કે યહોવાહે ઉઝઝાને શિક્ષા કરી હતી. તેથી તે જગ્યાનું નામ પેરેસ-ઉઝઝા પડ્યું, જે આજ સુધી તે જ નામે ઓળખાય છે.
12 David became afraid of God that day. “How can I ever bring back the Ark of God home to me?” he asked.
૧૨તે દિવસે દાઉદને ઈશ્વરનો ડર લાગ્યો અને તે બોલ્યો, “હું મારા ઘરે ઈશ્વરનો કોશ કેવી રીતે લાવું?”
13 So David did not move the Ark of God to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he had it taken to the home of Obed-edom the Gittite.
૧૩તેથી દાઉદ કોશને પોતાને ત્યાં દાઉદનગરમાં લાવ્યો નહિ, પણ તેને બીજે સ્થળે એટલે ગિત્તી ઓબેદ-અદોમના ઘરમાં લઈ ગયો.
14 The Ark of God remained in Obed-edom's home for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom's household and all that he had.
૧૪ઈશ્વરનો કોશ ઓબેદ-અદોમના ઘરમાં તેના કુટુંબની સાથે ત્રણ મહિના રહ્યો. તેથી યહોવાહે, તેના કુટુંબને તથા તેના સર્વસ્વને આશીર્વાદ આપ્યો.
