Luke 17
1 Then He said to the disciples: “Things that cause people to fall are bound to come, but woe to him through whom they do come!
ਇਤਃ ਪਰੰ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਃ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਉਵਾਚ, ਵਿਘ੍ਨੈਰਵਸ਼੍ਯਮ੍ ਆਗਨ੍ਤਵ੍ਯੰ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਵਿਘ੍ਨਾ ਯੇਨ ਘਟਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤੇ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਦੁਰ੍ਗਤਿ ਰ੍ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall.
ਏਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੁਦ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਾਣਿਨਾਮ੍ ਏਕਸ੍ਯਾਪਿ ਵਿਘ੍ਨਜਨਨਾਤ੍ ਕਣ੍ਠਬੱਧਪੇਸ਼਼ਣੀਕਸ੍ਯ ਤਸ੍ਯ ਸਾਗਰਾਗਾਧਜਲੇ ਮੱਜਨੰ ਭਦ੍ਰੰ|
3 Watch out for yourselves: if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
ਯੂਯੰ ਸ੍ਵੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਾਵਧਾਨਾਸ੍ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤ; ਤਵ ਭ੍ਰਾਤਾ ਯਦਿ ਤਵ ਕਿਞ੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਅਪਰਾਧ੍ਯਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਤਰ੍ਜਯ, ਤੇਨ ਯਦਿ ਮਨਃ ਪਰਿਵਰ੍ੱਤਯਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਮਸ੍ਵ|
4 Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in that day returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
ਪੁਨਰੇਕਦਿਨਮਧ੍ਯੇ ਯਦਿ ਸ ਤਵ ਸਪ੍ਤਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵੋ(ਅ)ਪਰਾਧ੍ਯਤਿ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਸਪ੍ਤਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵ ਆਗਤ੍ਯ ਮਨਃ ਪਰਿਵਰ੍ਤ੍ਯ ਮਯਾਪਰਾੱਧਮ੍ ਇਤਿ ਵਦਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤੰ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਮਸ੍ਵ|
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
ਤਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤਾਃ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਮ੍ ਅਵਦਨ੍ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਕੰ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੰ ਵਰ੍ੱਧਯ|
6 So the Lord said: “If you had faith like a mustard seed has, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁਰੁਵਾਚ, ਯਦਿ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕੰ ਸਰ੍ਸ਼਼ਪੈਕਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੋ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸੋਸ੍ਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਤ੍ਵੰ ਸਮੂਲਮੁਤ੍ਪਾਟਿਤੋ ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਮੁਦ੍ਰੇ ਰੋਪਿਤੋ ਭਵ ਕਥਾਯਾਮ੍ ਏਤਸ੍ਯਾਮ੍ ਏਤਦੁਡੁਮ੍ਬਰਾਯ ਕਥਿਤਾਯਾਂ ਸ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮਾਜ੍ਞਾਵਹੋ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
7 “And which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline to eat’?
ਅਪਰੰ ਸ੍ਵਦਾਸੇ ਹਲੰ ਵਾਹਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਵਾ ਪਸ਼ੂਨ੍ ਚਾਰਯਿਤ੍ਵਾ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰਾਦ੍ ਆਗਤੇ ਸਤਿ ਤੰ ਵਦਤਿ, ਏਹਿ ਭੋਕ੍ਤੁਮੁਪਵਿਸ਼, ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਏਤਾਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ਃ ਕੋਸ੍ਤਿ?
8 Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?
ਵਰਞ੍ਚ ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਮਮ ਖਾਦ੍ਯਮਾਸਾਦ੍ਯ ਯਾਵਦ੍ ਭੁਞ੍ਜੇ ਪਿਵਾਮਿ ਚ ਤਾਵਦ੍ ਬੱਧਕਟਿਃ ਪਰਿਚਰ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਤ੍ਵਮਪਿ ਭੋਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਸੇ ਪਾਸ੍ਯਸਿ ਚ ਕਥਾਮੀਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼ੀਂ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ?
9 Does he thank that slave because he did the things commanded? I guess not!
ਤੇਨ ਦਾਸੇਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੋਰਾਜ੍ਞਾਨੁਰੂਪੇ ਕਰ੍ੰਮਣਿ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਃ ਕਿੰ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਬਾਧਿਤੋ ਜਾਤਃ? ਨੇੱਥੰ ਬੁਧ੍ਯਤੇ ਮਯਾ|
10 So likewise you, whenever you have done everything you were told to do, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves, because we have only done what we were supposed to.’”
ਇੱਥੰ ਨਿਰੂਪਿਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਰ੍ੱਵਕਰ੍ੰਮਸੁ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੇਸ਼਼ੁ ਸਤ੍ਮੁ ਯੂਯਮਪੀਦੰ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਥ, ਵਯਮ੍ ਅਨੁਪਕਾਰਿਣੋ ਦਾਸਾ ਅਸ੍ਮਾਭਿਰ੍ਯਦ੍ਯਤ੍ਕਰ੍ੱਤਵ੍ਯੰ ਤਨ੍ਮਾਤ੍ਰਮੇਵ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤੰ|
11 Now as He was traveling toward Jerusalem, He went along between Samaria and Galilee.
ਸ ਯਿਰੂਸ਼ਾਲਮਿ ਯਾਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਕੁਰ੍ੱਵਨ੍ ਸ਼ੋਮਿਰੋਣ੍ਗਾਲੀਲ੍ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ਮਧ੍ਯੇਨ ਗੱਛਤਿ,
12 And as He entered a certain village, ten men met Him—being lepers they stood at a distance.
ਏਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਕੁਤ੍ਰਚਿਦ੍ ਗ੍ਰਾਮੇ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ਮਾਤ੍ਰੇ ਦਸ਼ਕੁਸ਼਼੍ਠਿਨਸ੍ਤੰ ਸਾਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਾਤ੍ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤ੍ਵਾ
13 They called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
ਦੂਰੇ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਨਤ ਉੱਚੈ ਰ੍ਵਕ੍ਤੁਮਾਰੇਭਿਰੇ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਦਯਸ੍ਵਾਸ੍ਮਾਨ੍|
14 And paying attention He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went they were cleansed!
ਤਤਃ ਸ ਤਾਨ੍ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਜਗਾਦ, ਯੂਯੰ ਯਾਜਕਾਨਾਂ ਸਮੀਪੇ ਸ੍ਵਾਨ੍ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਯਤ, ਤਤਸ੍ਤੇ ਗੱਛਨ੍ਤੋ ਰੋਗਾਤ੍ ਪਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਾਃ|
15 Well one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice;
ਤਦਾ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਮੇਕਃ ਸ੍ਵੰ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਥੰ ਦ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟ੍ਵਾ ਪ੍ਰੋੱਚੈਰੀਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਨ੍ ਵ੍ਯਾਘੁਟ੍ਯਾਯਾਤੋ ਯੀਸ਼ੋ ਰ੍ਗੁਣਾਨਨੁਵਦਨ੍ ਤੱਚਰਣਾਧੋਭੂਮੌ ਪਪਾਤ;
16 then he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him—and he was a Samaritan!
ਸ ਚਾਸੀਤ੍ ਸ਼ੋਮਿਰੋਣੀ|
17 So Jesus reacted by saying: “Were not all ten cleansed? So where are the nine?
ਤਦਾ ਯੀਸ਼ੁਰਵਦਤ੍, ਦਸ਼ਜਨਾਃ ਕਿੰ ਨ ਪਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਾਃ? ਤਹ੍ਯਨ੍ਯੇ ਨਵਜਨਾਃ ਕੁਤ੍ਰ?
18 None were found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner!”
ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰੰ ਧਨ੍ਯੰ ਵਦਨ੍ਤਮ੍ ਏਨੰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਿਨੰ ਵਿਨਾ ਕੋਪ੍ਯਨ੍ਯੋ ਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪ੍ਯਤ|
19 Then He said to him, “Get up and go; your faith has made you well.”
ਤਦਾ ਸ ਤਮੁਵਾਚ, ਤ੍ਵਮੁੱਥਾਯ ਯਾਹਿ ਵਿਸ਼੍ਵਾਸਸ੍ਤੇ ਤ੍ਵਾਂ ਸ੍ਵਸ੍ਥੰ ਕ੍ਰੁʼਤਵਾਨ੍|
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said: “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;
ਅਥ ਕਦੇਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਤ੍ਵੰ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੀਤਿ ਫਿਰੂਸ਼ਿਭਿਃ ਪ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟੇ ਸ ਪ੍ਰਤ੍ਯੁਵਾਚ, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਤ੍ਵਮ੍ ਐਸ਼੍ਵਰ੍ੱਯਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਨੇਨ ਨ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ because indeed the Kingdom of God is within you.”
ਅਤ ਏਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਤਸ੍ਮਿਨ੍ ਵਾ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ, ਇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਲੋਕਾ ਵਕ੍ਤੁੰ ਨ ਸ਼ਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰਸ੍ਯ ਰਾਜਤ੍ਵੰ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਕਮ੍ ਅਨ੍ਤਰੇਵਾਸ੍ਤੇ|
22 Then He said to the disciples: “Days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of the Man, and you will not see it.
ਤਤਃ ਸ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਾਨ੍ ਜਗਾਦ, ਯਦਾ ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਭਿ ਰ੍ਮਨੁਜਸੁਤਸ੍ਯ ਦਿਨਮੇਕੰ ਦ੍ਰਸ਼਼੍ਟੁਮ੍ ਵਾਞ੍ਛਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਨ ਦਰ੍ਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ, ਈਦ੍ਰੁʼੱਕਾਲ ਆਯਾਤਿ|
23 And they will say to you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Do not go along or follow.
ਤਦਾਤ੍ਰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯ ਵਾ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਪਸ਼੍ਯੇਤਿ ਵਾਕ੍ਯੰ ਲੋਕਾ ਵਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਨ੍ਤਿ, ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤੇਸ਼਼ਾਂ ਪਸ਼੍ਚਾਤ੍ ਮਾ ਯਾਤ, ਮਾਨੁਗੱਛਤ ਚ|
24 Because just like the lightning that lights the whole sky when it flashes, so also will the Son of the Man be in His day.
ਯਤਸ੍ਤਡਿਦ੍ ਯਥਾਕਾਸ਼ੈਕਦਿਸ਼੍ਯੁਦਿਯ ਤਦਨ੍ਯਾਮਪਿ ਦਿਸ਼ੰ ਵ੍ਯਾਪ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਤੇ ਤਦ੍ਵਤ੍ ਨਿਜਦਿਨੇ ਮਨੁਜਸੂਨੁਃ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਤਤ੍ਪੂਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਤੇਨਾਨੇਕਾਨਿ ਦੁਃਖਾਨਿ ਭੋਕ੍ਤਵ੍ਯਾਨ੍ਯੇਤਦ੍ਵਰ੍ੱਤਮਾਨਲੋਕੈਸ਼੍ਚ ਸੋ(ਅ)ਵਜ੍ਞਾਤਵ੍ਯਃ|
26 Also, just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of the Man.
ਨੋਹਸ੍ਯ ਵਿਦ੍ਯਮਾਨਕਾਲੇ ਯਥਾਭਵਤ੍ ਮਨੁਸ਼਼੍ਯਸੂਨੋਃ ਕਾਲੇਪਿ ਤਥਾ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
27 They were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
ਯਾਵਤ੍ਕਾਲੰ ਨੋਹੋ ਮਹਾਪੋਤੰ ਨਾਰੋਹਦ੍ ਆਪ੍ਲਾਵਿਵਾਰ੍ੱਯੇਤ੍ਯ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਨਾਨਾਸ਼ਯੱਚ ਤਾਵਤ੍ਕਾਲੰ ਯਥਾ ਲੋਕਾ ਅਭੁਞ੍ਜਤਾਪਿਵਨ੍ ਵ੍ਯਵਹਨ੍ ਵ੍ਯਵਾਹਯੰਸ਼੍ਚ;
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building—
ਇੱਥੰ ਲੋਟੋ ਵਰ੍ੱਤਮਾਨਕਾਲੇਪਿ ਯਥਾ ਲੋਕਾ ਭੋਜਨਪਾਨਕ੍ਰਯਵਿਕ੍ਰਯਰੋਪਣਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਨਿਰ੍ੰਮਾਣਕਰ੍ੰਮਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਵਰ੍ੱਤਨ੍ਤ,
29 but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
ਕਿਨ੍ਤੁ ਯਦਾ ਲੋਟ੍ ਸਿਦੋਮੋ ਨਿਰ੍ਜਗਾਮ ਤਦਾ ਨਭਸਃ ਸਗਨ੍ਧਕਾਗ੍ਨਿਵ੍ਰੁʼਸ਼਼੍ਟਿ ਰ੍ਭੂਤ੍ਵਾ ਸਰ੍ੱਵੰ ਵ੍ਯਨਾਸ਼ਯਤ੍
30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of the Man is revealed.
ਤਦ੍ਵਨ੍ ਮਾਨਵਪੁਤ੍ਰਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਦਿਨੇਪਿ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to get them; and likewise he who is in the field, let him not turn back.
ਤਦਾ ਯਦਿ ਕਸ਼੍ਚਿਦ੍ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹੋਪਰਿ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਤਰ੍ਹਿ ਸ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਹਮਧ੍ਯਾਤ੍ ਕਿਮਪਿ ਦ੍ਰਵ੍ਯਮਾਨੇਤੁਮ੍ ਅਵਰੁਹ੍ਯ ਨੈਤੁ; ਯਸ਼੍ਚ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਸੋਪਿ ਵ੍ਯਾਘੁਟ੍ਯ ਨਾਯਾਤੁ|
32 Remember Lot's wife!
ਲੋਟਃ ਪਤ੍ਨੀਂ ਸ੍ਮਰਤ|
33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever ‘wastes’ it will preserve it.
ਯਃ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਤੁੰ ਚੇਸ਼਼੍ਟਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਹਾਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਯਸ੍ਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਹਾਰਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ ਸਏਵ ਪ੍ਰਾਣਾਨ੍ ਰਕ੍ਸ਼਼ਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ|
34 I tell you: on that night there will be two men in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
ਯੁਸ਼਼੍ਮਾਨਹੰ ਵਚ੍ਮਿ ਤਸ੍ਯਾਂ ਰਾਤ੍ਰੌ ਸ਼ੱਯੈਕਗਤਯੋ ਰ੍ਲੋਕਯੋਰੇਕੋ ਧਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਪਰਸ੍ਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
35 Two women will be grinding together; one will be taken and the other left.”
ਸ੍ਤ੍ਰਿਯੌ ਯੁਗਪਤ੍ ਪੇਸ਼਼ਣੀਂ ਵ੍ਯਾਵਰ੍ੱਤਯਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਸ੍ਤਯੋਰੇਕਾ ਧਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਪਰਾਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
ਪੁਰੁਸ਼਼ੌ ਕ੍ਸ਼਼ੇਤ੍ਰੇ ਸ੍ਥਾਸ੍ਯਤਸ੍ਤਯੋਰੇਕੋ ਧਾਰਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ ਪਰਸ੍ਤ੍ਯਕ੍ਸ਼਼੍ਯਤੇ|
37 They reacted by saying to Him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where there is a carcass, there will the vultures also be gathered.”
ਤਦਾ ਤੇ ਪਪ੍ਰੱਛੁਃ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੋ ਕੁਤ੍ਰੇੱਥੰ ਭਵਿਸ਼਼੍ਯਤਿ? ਤਤਃ ਸ ਉਵਾਚ, ਯਤ੍ਰ ਸ਼ਵਸ੍ਤਿਸ਼਼੍ਠਤਿ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਗ੍ਰੁʼਧ੍ਰਾ ਮਿਲਨ੍ਤਿ|
