< Luke 17 >

1 Then He said to the disciples: “Things that cause people to fall are bound to come, but woe to him through whom they do come!
Jesus el fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, “Ma su aktukulkulye mwet uh in oru ma koluk ac nuna sikyak, tuh ac fuka kolukiya nu sin mwet se su oru tuh ma inge in sikyak!
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall.
Ac wona in sripsripi sie eot wen inkwawal ac sisila el nu in meoa uh, liki elan oru sie selos inge su srik in oru ma koluk.
3 Watch out for yourselves: if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
Ke ma inge kowos sifacna liyekowosyang! “Sie sin mwet lim fin oru ma koluk lain kom, kom kael; ac el fin auliyak, kom nunak munas nu sel.
4 Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in that day returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
El fin oru ma koluk lain kom pacl itkosr ke len se, ac tuku nu yurum ke kais sie pacl inge in taltal koluk nu sum, kom enenu na in nunak munas nu sel.”
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
Mwet sap elos fahk nu sin Leum, “Akyokye lulalfongi lasr.”
6 So the Lord said: “If you had faith like a mustard seed has, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Ac Leum el topuk, “Lulalfongi lowos fin oana lupan sie fiten mustard, na kowos ac ku in fahk nu sin sak lulap soko inge, ‘Sifacna fiskomyak ac yukwikomi in meoa uh!’ na ac akos kowos.
7 “And which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline to eat’?
“Fin sie suwos oasr mwet kulansap se lal ac el orekma inima ku karingin sheep uh, na ke el foloko liki ima uh, ya kom ac fahk elan sulaklak som mongoi?
8 Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?
Kalem lah kom tia ku in oru ouinge, a kom ac fahk nu sel, ‘Fahla orek mongo, tari kom ayaolla ac use mwe mongo nak an, ac soano ngan mongo tari, na kom fah mongoi.’
9 Does he thank that slave because he did the things commanded? I guess not!
Tia enenu tuh kom in fahk kulo nu sin sie mwet kulansap ke el orala ma kom sap elan oru.
10 So likewise you, whenever you have done everything you were told to do, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves, because we have only done what we were supposed to.’”
Ac oapana nu suwos — ke kowos ac orala ma nukewa ma fwackot kowos in orala uh, na kowos fahk, ‘Kut mwe na kulansap, ac kut oru na ma kunasr uh.’”
11 Now as He was traveling toward Jerusalem, He went along between Samaria and Galilee.
Ke Jesus el fahsr in som nu Jerusalem, el fahsr ut ke inmasrlon acn Samaria ac Galilee.
12 And as He entered a certain village, ten men met Him—being lepers they stood at a distance.
Ke el oru elan utyak nu in sie siti srisrik, el sun mukul singoul su oasr musen lepa ke manolos. Elos tu yen loes kutu
13 They called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
ac wowoyak ac fahk, “Jesus! Leum! Pakoten nu sesr!”
14 And paying attention He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went they were cleansed!
Ke Jesus el liyalos el fahk nu selos, “Fahsrot ac fahk mwet tol uh in liye kowos.” Ke elos srakna fahsr in som, elos nasnasla.
15 Well one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice;
Ke sie selos liye lah el nasnasla, el foloko ac kaksakin God ke pusra lulap.
16 then he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him—and he was a Samaritan!
El faksufi sisken nien Jesus ac sang kulo nu sel. El sie mwet Samaria.
17 So Jesus reacted by saying: “Were not all ten cleansed? So where are the nine?
Na Jesus el fahk, “Ya tia mwet singoul pa aknasnasyeyukla ah; na pia eu?
18 None were found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner!”
Mea pwaye lah mwetsac se inge mukena foloko in sang kulo nu sin God?”
19 Then He said to him, “Get up and go; your faith has made you well.”
Ac Jesus el fahk nu sel, “Tuyak ac som; lulalfongi lom akkeyekomla.”
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said: “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;
Kutu mwet Pharisee siyuk sin Jesus lah Tokosrai lun God uh ac tuku ngac. Ac el topuk, “Tokosrai lun God ac fah tia tuku in ouiya ma ac ku in liyeyuk.
21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ because indeed the Kingdom of God is within you.”
Wangin mwet ac fah fahk, ‘Liye, pa inge!’ ku ‘Pa ingo!’ mweyen Tokosrai lun God oasr na in kowos.”
22 Then He said to the disciples: “Days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of the Man, and you will not see it.
Na el fahk nu sin mwet tumal lutlut, ‘Pacl se ac fah tuku ke kowos ac kena liye sie sin len lun Wen nutin Mwet, a kowos ac tia liye.
23 And they will say to you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Do not go along or follow.
Ac fah oasr mwet fahk nu suwos, ‘El a ingo!’ ku ‘El a inge!’ Tusruk nimet som sokol.
24 Because just like the lightning that lights the whole sky when it flashes, so also will the Son of the Man be in His day.
Ke pacl se sarom uh sarmelik inkusrao ac tolak acn lucng layen inge nwe layen ingo, ac fah ouinge Wen nutin Mwet ke len lal.
25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
Tusruktu meet liki ma inge, el ac enenu in akkeokyeyuk ac sisila sin mwet in fwil se inge.
26 Also, just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of the Man.
Oana ma tuh orek ke pacl lal Noah ah, ac fah ouinge pac in len lun Wen nutin Mwet.
27 They were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building—
Ac fah oana ma orek ke len lal Lot. Mwet uh elos mongo na ac nim, elos moli, elos kuka, elos yok, ac elos musa.
29 but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
Ke len se Lot el som liki acn Sodom, e ac sulfur tuh kahkla lucng me ac onelosla nufon.
30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of the Man is revealed.
Ac fah ouinge len se ma Wen nutin Mwet el ac sikme uh.
31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to get them; and likewise he who is in the field, let him not turn back.
“Ke len sacn, mwet se ma muta fin mangon lohm sel uh elan tia oatui in eis ma lal in lohm sel uh. Oapana nu sin mwet se su muta in ima lal uh, elan tia folokla in eis kutena ma.
32 Remember Lot's wife!
Esam mutan kial Lot!
33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever ‘wastes’ it will preserve it.
Kutena mwet su srike in loangela moul lal, ac fah tuhlac lukel; ac el su lafwekunla moul lal, moul lal fah loangeyukla.
34 I tell you: on that night there will be two men in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.

Mwet luo fah muta in ima uh, ac fah utukla sie ac filiyuki sie.
37 They reacted by saying to Him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where there is a carcass, there will the vultures also be gathered.”
Ac mwet tumal lutlut elos siyuk sel, “Leum, ma inge ac sikyak oya?” Jesus el fahk, “Kutena acn ma mano misa oan we, won vulture ac fah toeni pac we.”
