< Luke 17 >

1 Then He said to the disciples: “Things that cause people to fall are bound to come, but woe to him through whom they do come!
Gbe ɖeka la, Yesu gblɔ na eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Tetekpɔ ava mia dzi ɖaa be miawɔ nu vɔ̃, gake baba na ame si dzi wòato ava.”
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall.
Anyo nɛ be woatsɔ kpe gã aɖe atsi ɖe kɔ nɛ, eye woatsɔe ƒu gbe ɖe atsiaƒu me wu esi wòaɖia ɖevi sue siawo dometɔ ɖeka nu wòawɔ nu vɔ̃.
3 Watch out for yourselves: if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.
Eya ta minɔ ŋudzɔ. “Ne nɔviwò wɔ nu vɔ̃ la, ka mo nɛ, eye ne etrɔ le eƒe dzi me la, tsɔe kee.
4 Even if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in that day returns, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
Ne eda vo ɖe ŋuwò zi adre le ŋkeke ɖeka dzi, eye wòva zi adre va gblɔ be, ‘Metrɔ dzi me,’ la, ekema tsɔe kee.”
5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
Le ɣe bubu ɣi la, apostoloawo gblɔ na Aƒetɔ la be, “Míedi be míaƒe xɔse nasẽ ŋu ɖe edzi. Fia nu si míawɔ la mí.”
6 So the Lord said: “If you had faith like a mustard seed has, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Egblɔ na wo be, “Nenye be xɔse le mia si lolo abe kutsetse suetɔ kekeake ene la, ate ŋu ana be miaɖe gbe na ati gã sia be, ‘Ho ɖokuiwò yi ɖado ɖe ƒu me,’ eye wòawɔ miaƒe gbe dzi.
7 “And which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline to eat’?
“Mia dometɔ ka ƒe dɔla anɔ agble ŋlɔm alo le alẽ kplɔm, eye wòtrɔ tso agble va aƒe me, eye wòagblɔ na dɔla be, ‘Va nɔ anyi, eye nàɖu nu’?
8 Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and gird yourself and serve me until I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’?
Ke magblɔ nɛ boŋ be, ‘Wɔ nye fiẽnuɖuɖu, dzra ɖokuiwò ɖo, eye nàva subɔm le nye kplɔ̃ ŋuti maɖu nu, eye mano nu, le esia megbe wò hã nàɖu nu ano nu oa’?
9 Does he thank that slave because he did the things commanded? I guess not!
Ɖe wòada akpe na dɔla la, elabena ewɔ nu si wògblɔ nɛ be newɔa?
10 So likewise you, whenever you have done everything you were told to do, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves, because we have only done what we were supposed to.’”
Alea kee nenye be mieɖo tom la, mele be miabu be ele be makafu mi o, elabena miagblɔ be, ‘Dɔla madzemadzewo míenye, míaƒe dɔdeasi ko míewɔ!’”
11 Now as He was traveling toward Jerusalem, He went along between Samaria and Galilee.
Esi wonɔ woƒe mɔzɔzɔ dzi ɖo ta Yerusalem la, wova ɖo Galilea kple Samaria ƒe liƒo dzi.
12 And as He entered a certain village, ten men met Him—being lepers they stood at a distance.
Woge ɖe kɔƒe aɖe me, eye le afi ma la, wokpɔ kpodɔléla ewo wonɔ tsitre ɖe adzɔge nɔ ɣli dom be,
13 They called out, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
“Aƒetɔ Yesu, kpɔ nublanui na mí!”
14 And paying attention He said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” It happened that as they went they were cleansed!
Yesu trɔ kpɔ wo hegblɔ na wo be, “Miyi ɖe nunɔlawo gbɔ miatsɔ mia ɖokuiwo fia be yewo ŋuti kɔ!” Esi wonɔ mɔa dzi yina la, wokpɔe be kpodɔ la bu le yewo ŋu.
15 Well one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, glorifying God with a loud voice;
Wo dometɔ ɖeka trɔ va Yesu gbɔ kple dzidzɔ henɔ ɣli dom be, “Woakafu Mawu, elabena nye lãme sẽ.”
16 then he fell on his face at His feet, thanking Him—and he was a Samaritan!
Edze klo ɖe Yesu ƒe akɔme le anyigba, eye wòda akpe nɛ le esi wòyɔ dɔe ta. Ame sia nye Samariatɔ, ame siwo womebuna ɖe naneke me o.
17 So Jesus reacted by saying: “Were not all ten cleansed? So where are the nine?
Yesu biae be, “Menye ŋutsu ewo ŋue meda gbe le oa? Asiekɛ mamlɛawo ya ɖe?
18 None were found to return and give glory to God except this foreigner!”
Nu ka ta wònye amedzro sia koe trɔ va be yeakafu Mawu?”
19 Then He said to him, “Get up and go; your faith has made you well.”
Yesu gblɔ na ŋutsua be, “Tso nàdzo, wò xɔse da gbe le ŋuwò.”
20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said: “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation;
Gbe ɖeka la, Farisitɔwo va bia Yesu be ɣe ka ɣie mawufiaɖuƒea le egɔme dze ge? Yesu ɖo eŋu be, “Mawufiaɖuƒea mava kple dzesi siwo miakpɔ kple ŋku,
21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ because indeed the Kingdom of God is within you.”
alo woagblɔ be, ‘Edze egɔme tso afi sia’ alo ‘Ele akpa kemɛ o,’ elabena mawufiaɖuƒe la le mía dome xoxo.”
22 Then He said to the disciples: “Days are coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of the Man, and you will not see it.
Emegbe la, Yesu gaƒo nu le nu sia ŋu na eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo be, “Ɣeyiɣi aɖe gbɔna esi miadi be nye Amegbetɔ Vi la manɔ mia gbɔ ŋkeke ɖeka pɛ ko. Gake nyemanɔ anyi o.
23 And they will say to you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Do not go along or follow.
Amewo ava gblɔ na mi be, ‘Ele afii!’ alo ‘Ele afi mɛ!’ Migaxɔ wo dzi se o, eye migayi be yewoadim o.
24 Because just like the lightning that lights the whole sky when it flashes, so also will the Son of the Man be in His day.
“Elabena Amegbetɔ Vi la ƒe tɔtrɔgbɔ adze nyuie abe ale si dzi kea dzo le lilikpowo mee ene, be ame sia ame nakpɔe.
25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
Gake gbã la, ele be makpe fu vevie, eye dukɔ blibo sia nagbe nu le gbɔnye.
26 Also, just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it also be in the days of the Son of the Man.
“Abe ale si wòdzɔ le Noa ŋɔli ene la, nenema wòanɔ le Amegbetɔ Vi la ƒe vava ɣeyiɣi me.
27 They were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Amewo nɔ nutsu ɖum, nɔ srɔ̃ ɖem, eye agbe vivi ɖuɖu nɔ edzi vevie va se ɖe esime Noa ge ɖe eƒe aɖakaʋu la me, eye tsiɖɔɖɔ va tsrɔ̃ ame bubuawo katã.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building—
“Xexea me anɔ abe ale si wònɔ le Lɔt ƒe ŋkekewo me ene. Ame sia ame nɔ eƒe gbe sia gbe dɔ wɔm pɛpɛpɛ. Wonɔ nu ɖum, nɔ nu nom, wonɔ asi ƒlem, wode agble, tu xɔ gãwo
29 but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
va se ɖe ŋdi si Lɔt dzo le Sodom. Eye dzo kple dzokpe xɔxɔwo dza tso dziƒo hetsrɔ̃ ameawo katã.
30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of the Man is revealed.
Ɛ̃, nenema ke amewo anɔ woƒe dɔwo dzii va se ɖe esime gaƒoƒo si dzi Amegbetɔ Vi atrɔ gbɔ la naɖo.
31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to get them; and likewise he who is in the field, let him not turn back.
“Ame siwo anɔ xɔta gbe ma gbe, eye woƒe nuwo nanɔ xɔ me la megatrɔ yi aƒe me be yewoaƒo ƒu yewoƒe nuwo o. Ame siwo le agble la megaxa trɔ yi aƒe me le dua me o.
32 Remember Lot's wife!
Miɖo ŋku nu si dzɔ ɖe Lɔt srɔ̃ dzi!
33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever ‘wastes’ it will preserve it.
Ame sia ame si adi vevie be yeatsi agbe la aku, eye ame si aku la atsi agbe.
34 I tell you: on that night there will be two men in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
Le zã ma me la, ame eve amlɔ abati ɖeka dzi, eye woava kplɔ ɖeka dzoe agblẽ ɖeka ɖi.
35 Two women will be grinding together; one will be taken and the other left.”
“Nyɔnu eve woanɔ wɔ tum le teƒo, woaxɔ ɖeka, eye woagblẽ evelia ɖi. [
Ame eve lanɔ agble me, woatsɔ ɖeka agblẽ evelia ɖi.]”
37 They reacted by saying to Him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where there is a carcass, there will the vultures also be gathered.”
Eƒe nusrɔ̃lawo biae be, “Aƒetɔ afi kae woakplɔ wo ayi?” Yesu ɖo eŋu na wo be, “Afi si nu kukuwo le la, afi mae akagawo hã nɔna!”
