< John 6 >

1 After these things Jesus went over the Sea of Galilee, or Tiberias.
Atahori hetar tungga E naa reu, huu ara rita manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ fo Ana taoꞌ ra, naeni leleꞌ Ana tao nahaiꞌ atahori mamahedꞌiꞌ ra. Losa dano a seriꞌ, ma Yesus no ana mana tungga nara hene risiꞌ lete anaꞌ esa. De ara endoꞌ mia naa.
2 And a huge crowd was following Him because they had seen His signs that He kept performing on the sick.
3 So Jesus went up on the mountain and sat down there with His disciples.
4 (Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was near.)
5 Then, raising His eyes and observing that a huge crowd was coming toward Him, Jesus says to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread so that these folks may eat?”
Leleꞌ Yesus nita atahori hetar rema raꞌabꞌue, ma Ana natane ana mana tunggan esa, naran Filipus nae, “Hita bisa hasa nanaat sia bee, fo tahao neu atahori ia ra?”
6 Now He said this to test him, for He Himself knew what He was about to do.
Memaꞌ Yesus nahine nae tao taꞌo bee. Te Ana olaꞌ naꞌo naa nae sobꞌa Filipus.
7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for them, so that each of them could receive a little.”
8 One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, says to Him,
Basa ma, Yesus ana mana tunggan esa fai, naran Anderias, naeni Simon Petrus odin, nafadꞌe Yesus nae,
9 “There is a little boy here who has five loaves of barley bread and two small fish, but what are they for so many?”
“Papa! Hambu anak esa sia ia nendi roti bueꞌ lima, no uꞌu rua. Te naa nda bisa dai nehao neu atahori desi basa ia sa!”
10 Then Jesus said, “Make the people recline.” Now there was plenty of grass in the place; so the men reclined, about five thousand in number.
Leleꞌ naa, atahori hetar seli! Akaꞌ touꞌ ra o, mbei ma atahori rifon lima.
11 Then Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were reclining; so too with the fish, as much as they wanted.
De ara reu pala fee neu atahori ra. Ana tao uꞌu onaꞌ naa boe. Basa se raa losa raꞌabeta.
12 So when they were full He says to His disciples, “Collect the leftover fragments so that nothing be wasted.”
Leleꞌ basa se raa losa raꞌabeta ena, ma Yesus denu ana mana tungga nara nae, “Miduru mala baliꞌ nanaat lenaꞌ ra, fo afiꞌ hambu nene leꞌa-nggari hendi parsumaꞌ a.”
13 So they collected and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves that were left over from those who had eaten.
De ara raduru rala baliꞌ nanaat lenaꞌ mia roti bue lima naa ra, sofe boa sanahulu rua.
14 Now then, having seen the miraculous sign that Jesus performed the men said, “This One really is the Prophet who is to come into the world.”
Leleꞌ atahori hetar rita manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ fo Yesus taoꞌ naa, ara rae, “Awii! Eni ia, tantu Mana Ola-olaꞌ fo Lamatualain helu basa nae haitua nemaꞌ a.”
15 So Jesus, perceiving that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, withdrew up the mountain again by Himself, alone.
Yesus bubꞌuluꞌ oi, atahori hetar naa ra rae raꞌasusuuꞌ Eni dadꞌi maneꞌ. Basa ma Ana fela lao, ma Ana hene naꞌadodꞌooꞌ nisiꞌ lete ana dikiꞌ esa, fo akaꞌ mesaꞌ Ne sia naa.
16 Now as evening came on His disciples had gone down to the sea,
Leleꞌ relo a feꞌe mopo ena, Yesus ana mana tungga nara onda dano reu.
17 and getting into the boat they started to go across the sea toward Capernaum. Well it had been dark for a while and Jesus had not come to them.
Yesus nda feꞌe nema naꞌabꞌue no se sa. Boe ma ara hene risiꞌ ofaꞌ esa, de sefe risiꞌ kota Kapernaum, sia dano a seriꞌ. Leleꞌ ara sefe te maꞌahatuꞌ ena.
18 Further, the sea was being agitated by a strong wind blowing.
19 Then, after they had rowed some three or four miles, they see Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat; and they were afraid.
20 But He said to them, “It is I; don't be afraid!”
Te Yesus nafadꞌe nae, “We! Afiꞌ mimitau! Huu ia Au.”
21 Then they wanted to receive Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.
Boe ma ara nau-nauꞌ a fo Ana hene ofaꞌ naꞌabꞌue no sira.
22 The next day the crowd that had stayed on the other side of the sea, having seen that there was no other boat there except the one into which His disciples had entered, and that Jesus had not gotten into the boat with His disciples but only His disciples had gone away—
Yesus nda sae ofaꞌ naa namaloloꞌ no ana mana tungga nara sa. Te hambu ofaꞌ laen hira mia kota Tiberias mana reu-rema sia mamanaꞌ naa. Basa ma, leleꞌ atahori hetar rahine rae, Yesus no ana mana tungga nara nda sia naa sa ena, boe ma ara sae ofaꞌ laen ra, de reu sangga Yesus sia Kapernaum, sia dano a seriꞌ fai.
23 although other boats had come from Tiberias, near the place where they ate the bread after the Lord had given thanks—
24 so when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor His disciples were there, they got into the boats and went to Capernaum, looking for Jesus.
25 When they found Him on another side of the sea they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did you get here?”
Papa losa ia, eni bees?”
26 Jesus answered them and said: “Most assuredly I say to you, you are not seeking me because you saw miraculous signs, but because you ate the bread and were filled.
Yesus nataa nae, “Matetun, taꞌo ia: hei nda sangga Au huu mita manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌa sa. Te hei sangga Au, huu Au uhao nggi, losa miꞌibeta.
27 Do not work for the food that wastes away but for the food that endures into life eternal, which the Son of the Man will give you; because on Him God the Father has set His seal.” (aiōnios g166)
Rena malolole! Afiꞌ tao ues fo hambu akaꞌ nanaat mana dei fo noe hendi. Malole lenaꞌ ama tao ues fo hambu nanaat mana naꞌatataaꞌ nakandoo, mana nendi masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ nda mana basaꞌ sa. Huu Au ia, naeni Atahori Matetuꞌ a. Au mana bisa fee nggi masodꞌaꞌ naa. Huu Amaꞌ sia sorga fee hak naa neu Au ena.” (aiōnios g166)
28 So they said to Him, “What should we do so that we may work the works of God?”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe into the One whom He sent.”
Yesus nafadꞌe nae, “Lamatualain ue-tataon, taꞌo ia: hei musi mimihere Au. Huu Lamatualain mana denu Au.”
30 So they said to Him: “Well then, what sign are you going to do so we may see and believe you? What are you going to perform?
Basa ma ara ratane fai rae, “Papa nau mutudꞌu manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ onaꞌ beek, naa fo hai mita, ma mimihere neu Papa? Boe ma, Papa nau tao saa fee hai fai?
31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert, just as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from Heaven to eat.’”
Conto onaꞌ, hita bei-baꞌi nara raa roti manna sia mamana rouꞌ. Naa dadꞌi onaꞌ nenesuraꞌ sia Lamatualain Susura Meumaren oi, ‘Ana fee se roti mana onda mia lalai a, fo ara raa.’”
32 Then Jesus said to them: “Most assuredly I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from Heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from Heaven.
Yesus nae, “Au ufadꞌe matetun, taꞌo ia: lele uluꞌ a, baꞌi Musa nda naꞌondaꞌ roti a mia lalai fee neu hei bei-baꞌi mara. Huu mana naꞌondaꞌ a, Ama ngga sia sorga. Leleꞌ ia o Ana sadia fee nggi roti sia sorga boe. Te roti ia, Roti matetuꞌ mana naꞌatataaꞌ nakandoo.
33 For the bread of God is the One coming down out of Heaven and giving Life to the world.”
Huu Roti mana mia Lamatualain ia, naeni, mana onda mia sorga ma nendi masodꞌaꞌ soaꞌ neu atahori sia raefafoꞌ ia.”
34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.”
Basa ma ara roꞌe rae, “Papa! Fee roti naa nakandooꞌ a neu hai dei!”
35 So Jesus said to them: “I am the bread of the Life. Whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes into me will never thirst.
Huu Au mana endi masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ a. Dadꞌi atahori mana dadꞌi atahori ngga, nda ndoe sa ena! Boe ma atahori mana namahere Au, nda naꞌamadꞌa sa ena!
36 But, as I told you, you have actually seen me, yet you do not believe.
Te Au ufadꞌe ita hei ae, mae hei mita Au ena o, hei nda feꞌe mimihere Au sa boe.
37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will not throw out;
Tao-tao te, basa atahori fo Ama ngga here nala fo dadꞌi Au atahori nggara, dei fo rema risiꞌ Au. Mete ma hambu atahori esa nema nisiꞌ Au, Neꞌo Au nda ae use-oi hendi e sa!
38 because it is not to do my own will that I have come down out of Heaven, but the will of the One who sent me.
39 Now this is the will of the Father who sent me, that I should lose nothing out of all that He has given me, but should raise it up at the last day.
Eni hihii-nanaun, taꞌo ia: mia basa atahori fo Eni here nala dadꞌi Au atahori nggara, Ana nau fo Au uꞌubꞌue ala basa se.
40 Again this is the will of Him who sent me, that everyone who ‘sees’ the Son and believes into Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” (aiōnios g166)
Onaꞌ Au olaꞌ faꞌ ra, Ama ngga nau fo basa atahori mana rahine ma ramahere Au, naeni Eni Anan ia, na, bisa hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ nda mana basaꞌ sa. Basa dei fo neu fai mateteꞌen, Au fee se rasodꞌa baliꞌ boe.” (aiōnios g166)
41 Then the Jews started complaining about Him, because He said, “I am the bread that came down out of Heaven.”
Naa, atahori Yahudi ra malangga nara, mulai au-auꞌ ro E, huu Ana nae, “Roti mana mia Lamatualain naa, naeni Au, mana onda mia sorga.”
42 And they were saying: “Isn't this Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? So how can he say, ‘I have come down out of Heaven’?”
Ara ola-olaꞌ rae, “Taꞌo bee ia e? Atahori ia, naeni Yesus, Yusuf anan, to? Hita tahine ina-ama nara. Dadꞌi taꞌo bee de leleꞌ ia Ana nae, ‘Au onda uma mia sorga’? Hambu mia bee?”
43 So Jesus answered and said to them: “Stop complaining among yourselves.
Yesus denu se nae, “Weh! Miloeꞌ au-auꞌ leo!
44 No one is able to come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.
Au Ama ngga sia sorga mana denu Au uma sia ia. Nda hambu atahori bisa nema nisiꞌ Au sa, mete ma Ama ngga nda noo e nema sa. Boe ma dei fo neu fai mateteꞌen, Au fee se rasodꞌa baliꞌ.
45 It is written in the prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who listens and learns from the Father comes to me.
Lamatualain mana ola-olan dalahuluꞌ ra suraꞌ rala oi, ‘Lamatualain nau nanori basa atahori.’ Naa, basa atahori mana rena Amaꞌ sia sorga, ma ranori mia E, ara rema risiꞌ Au fo dadꞌi atahori nggara.
46 (Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One who is from God—He has seen the Father.)
Au ia, mana onda uma mia Lamatualain. Dadꞌi akaꞌ Au mana ita E. Nda hambu atahori laen esa sa boe mete nita Amaꞌ sia sorga sa.
47 Most assuredly I say to you: the one believing into me has eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Tebꞌe! Au o ufadꞌe memaꞌ neu nggi! Atahori mana namahere neu Au, dei fo hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ nda mana basaꞌ sa. (aiōnios g166)
48 “I am the bread of the Life.
Huu Au ia, naeni Roti mana nendi masodꞌaꞌ naa.
49 Your fathers ate manna in the desert, and they died.
Fai maꞌahulun, hei bei-baꞌi mara raa roti manna leleꞌ ara laoꞌ ndule mamana-mamana rouꞌ ra. Mae ara raa roti naa, te doo-doo ma ara o mate boe.
50 This is the bread that comes down out of Heaven, so that anyone may eat of it and not die.
Te Roti mana onda mia sorga leleꞌ ia, laen. Huu basa atahori bole raa. Eni sosoan nae, basa atahori mana ramahere neu Au ia, ara nda saranggaa mia Lamatualain sa ena.
51 I am the living bread which came down out of Heaven. If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. Actually, the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give on behalf of the life of the world.” (aiōn g165)
Huu Au ia, naeni Roti mana nendi masodꞌaꞌ, mana onda nema mia sorga.
52 At that the Jews started quarrelling among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?!”
Rena onaꞌ naa, ma atahori Yahudi ra malangga nara esa nareresi no esa rae, “Aweꞌ! Ana olaꞌ saa naa? Taꞌo bee de Atahori ia bisa fee aon fo hita taa?”
53 So Jesus said to them: “Most assuredly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of the Man and drink His blood, you do not have Life within yourselves.
Ma Au ufadꞌe taꞌo ia: Au ia, Atahori Matetuꞌ a. Atahori mana nau nasodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ, musi nenepaꞌaꞌ no Au. Dadꞌi mete ma hei nda mia ao-sisin Ngga sa, ma nda minu raa Ngga sa, na, nda hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ a sia nggi sa.
54 Whoever chews my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 Really, my flesh is genuine food and my blood is genuine drink.
Te nanaat ndoo-tetuꞌ a, naeni Au ao Ngga. Boe ma nininu ndoo-tetuꞌ a naeni Au raa Ngga.
56 Whoever chews my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him.
Dadꞌi atahori mana naa ao-sisin Ngga, ma ninu raa Ngga na, hambu nasodꞌa nenepaꞌaꞌ no Au. Boe ma Au o nenepaꞌaꞌ o eni boe.
57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
Amaꞌ sia sorga mana denu Au na, Eni nasodꞌa tebꞌe-tebꞌeꞌ. Boe ma Au o hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ a mia E boe. Naeni de atahori mana naa Au ao-sisin Ngga, dei fo eni o hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ a mia Au boe.
58 This is the bread that came down out of Heaven. Whoever feeds on this bread of mine will live forever (in contrast to your fathers who ate the manna and died).” (aiōn g165)
Naa, lele uluꞌ a, hei bei-baꞌi mara raa roti manna mana onda mia lalai a. Mae ara raa roti naa o, te doo-doo ma ara mate boe. Te Roti mana onda mia sorga leleꞌ ia, laen. Huu atahori mana naa Roti ia, dei fo hambu masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ a.” (aiōn g165)
59 He said these things while teaching in a synagogue in Capernaum.
Yesus nanori dalaꞌ ia ra mia atahori Yahudi ra ume hule-oꞌen esa sia kota Kapernaum.
60 Therefore, upon hearing this many from among His disciples said: “This word is hard! Who is able to hear it?”
Naa, hambu atahori hetar tungga Yesus.
61 So Jesus, knowing in Himself that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them: “Does this offend you?
Te Yesus nahine ara au-auꞌ raꞌo naa, ma Ana natane nae, “Nenoriꞌ ia tao nggi susa, do?
62 What if you should see the Son of the Man going up to where He was at first?
Onaꞌ bee fai mete ma hei mita Au, Atahori Matetuꞌ ia, hene baliꞌ naa uu, sia Au mamana dalahulu ngga?
63 The Spirit is the One who makes alive; the flesh does not benefit anything. The words that I speak to you are spirit, are Life.
Lamatualain Dula-dalen mana nendi masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ a. Nda atahori aon mana nendi masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ naa sa. Te Dedꞌea-oꞌola ngga ra raꞌoka mia Lamatualain Dula-dalen. Dadꞌi Dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ naa o nendi masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ soaꞌ neu atahori ra.
64 But there are some among you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the start who they were who did not believe, and who was betraying Him.)
Te hei ruma nda mimihere Au sa.” Yesus olaꞌ naꞌo naa, huu nahine mia fefeun seka nda namahere sa, ma dei fo seka mana seo hendi Eni.
65 And He said, “That is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it has been granted to him by my Father.”
Boe ma Ana olaꞌ seluꞌ nae, “Naeni de Au ufadꞌe nggi ae, Au Ama ngga sia sorga musi soi dalaꞌ fee atahori dei, naa fo atahori bisa masoꞌ dadꞌi Au atahori ngga.”
66 From that time many of His disciples turned back and stopped going around with Him.
Eniꞌ a leleꞌ naa, hambu ana mana tungga nara hetar lao hela E, huu ara nda nau tungga E sa ena.
67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “You don't want to go away too, do you?”
Basa ma Yesus natane ana mana tungga atahori ka sanahulu rua nara nae, “Boe ma hei onaꞌ bee? Mae lao hela Au boe, do?”
68 So Simon Peter answered Him: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. (aiōnios g166)
Te Simon Petrus nataa nae, “Papa! Hai mae mii sia seka e fai? Nda hambu atahori laen sa ena mana bisa nafadꞌe hai, taꞌo bee fo hai bisa hambu masodꞌaꞌ ndoo-tetuꞌ nda mana basaꞌ sa. Akaꞌ Papa mesaꞌ ne! (aiōnios g166)
69 Further, we have come to believe and to know that you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!”
Boe ma hai mimihere neu Papa. Huu hai bubꞌuluꞌ mae, Papa ia, naeni, Lamatualain Atahori Meumaren.”
70 He said to them: “Did I myself not choose you twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”
Yesus nafadꞌe se nae, “Au pili ala hei atahori sanahulu rua ena. Te misinedꞌa, e! Hambu esa mia hei e onaꞌ nitu e!”
71 He was referring to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.
Eni masud naa, Yudas, naeni Simon Iskariot anan. Yudas naa, esa mia Eni ana mana tungga atahori ka sanahulu rua nara. Dei fo, ana mana seo hendi Yesus.
