< 2 Peter 2 >

1 However, there were also false prophets among the people, just as, indeed, there will be false teachers among you, who will introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Owner who bought them (bringing on themselves swift destruction).
Dalahulun, hambu atahori Israꞌel ruma rae, sira dadꞌi Lamatualain mana ola-olan.
2 And many will follow their licentious ways, because of which the way of the Truth will be defamed.
3 And in covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; since way back the judgment for such people is not slack, and their destruction will not sleep.
Meser mana peko-lelekoꞌ naa ra, mana bare-naꞌo ra. Ara eꞌedik mataꞌ-mataꞌ fo tipu-laka rala doi mara. Te afiꞌ liliiꞌ, huu Lamatualain dadꞌi Mana Maꞌetuꞌ Dedꞌeat nda parna sungguꞌ sa. Mia dalahulun, Ana sadꞌia fo huku-doki se. Dei fo ara rambalulutu.
4 Because if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but delivered them into chains of darkness, confining them in Tartarus to be reserved for judgment, (Tartaroō g5020)
5 and did not spare the ancient world but preserved Noah, with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when He brought a flood on the world of the ungodly,
Onaꞌ naa boe no atahori lele uluꞌ ra. Te Ana tao nasodꞌa Noh no sao ana nara. Basa se atahori falu.
6 and condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes (providing a warning to those who are intent on being ungodly),
Leleꞌ esa fai, maꞌahulun atahori mia kota Sodꞌom no kota Gomora ra rasodꞌa tao deꞌulaka manaseliꞌ. Naa dadꞌi conto fee neu atahori laen mana nauꞌ a tao deꞌulakaꞌ ma nda tao afiꞌ neu Lamatualain sa. Ara rahine memaꞌ sira uanale nara, mete ma ara nda nau doaꞌ sa.
7 while He rescued upright Lot, who was distressed by the licentious lifestyle of the wicked
Te leleꞌ naa, hambu atahori esa, naran Lot, nasodꞌa tunggaꞌ a ndoon. Ana bengge noꞌ a atahori deꞌulakaꞌ ra tatao mana maꞌalelena nara, mana nda nau rena neu Lamatuaꞌ sa. Basa de, Lamatua tao nasodꞌa Lot mia naa.
8 (for that upright man, dwelling among them, tormented an upright soul from day to day by seeing and hearing lawless deeds)
Lot mesaꞌ ne hiiꞌ a tao matetuꞌ ra, te ana leo sia atahori Sodꞌom ra taladꞌa nara. Boe ma, tungga-tungga fai na ana nita no rena ara ralena-langga neu Lamatuaꞌ Hohoro-lalane nara. Naa tao fee ralan susa.
9 —then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of testings and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
Basa conto naa ra ratudꞌu oi, Lamatualain nahine fee masoi-masodꞌaꞌ neu atahori mana hiiꞌ a rena Eni, mia sosobꞌaꞌ mataꞌ-mataꞌ. Ana o nahine naꞌetuꞌ huku-doki mamaberaꞌ neu atahori mana nasodꞌa noꞌ a sora-senggoꞌ ra. Boe ma Ana tao taꞌo naa nakandooꞌ a losa fain dei fo Ana naꞌetuꞌ basa atahori ra dedꞌean.
10 and especially those who go after the flesh in the lust for defilement, and despise authority. They are audacious, self-willed; they are not afraid to revile majestic beings,
Huku-dokiꞌ mamaberaꞌ naa, tudꞌa lelenan neu atahori mana hiiꞌ a rasodꞌa no manggenggeoꞌ tunggaꞌ a hihii-nanau nara. Ara nda nau rena atahori esa sa boe, ma ara raneneut basa mana toꞌu koasa ra. Dei fo Lamatuaꞌ hukun se. Boe ma, meser mana peko-lelekoꞌ naa ra, rambarani seli, ma koao. Ara nda nau ratudꞌu hadꞌa-hormat, ma nda ramatau olaꞌ raꞌamuti Lamatualain no ate nara mana sia sorga.
11 whereas angels, though being greater in might and power, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
Tao-tao te, ate mana sia sorga ra maꞌadereꞌ lena meser mana peko-lelekoꞌ ra. Mae taꞌo naa o, ate naa ra nda ola raꞌamuti meser naa ra sia sira Lamatuan matan sa. Ma ara o nda fua salaꞌ leli neu meser naa ra sa.
12 But these, as unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct made to be caught and destroyed, spouting off in matters of which they are ignorant, will be destroyed by their own depravity,
Tantu rambalutu, huu tatao-nonoꞌi nara.
13 receiving the wages of unrighteousness. Counting it a pleasure to carouse in the daytime, they are stains and blemishes, reveling in their own deceptions while they feast with you,
Ara hiiꞌ a feta-dote no koaꞌ-kee. Ara o hiiꞌ a tao sora-senggoꞌ sia fai rereloꞌ, naa fo basa atahori bisa rita deꞌulaka nara. Ara nda rahine mamaet sa, ma tao ralutu hei nara malole mara. Mete ma ara raa fefetas raꞌabꞌue ro nggi, ara hii tao tunggaꞌ a hihii-nanau deꞌulaka nara.
14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls; having a heart trained in greediness they are children of a curse;
Mata nara lendo neu inaꞌ mana nau tao salaꞌ ro se. Ara rasodꞌa tao deꞌulakaꞌ rakandooꞌ a. Ara hiiꞌ a sangga atahori fo nemeheren neu Lamatuaꞌ nda manggateeꞌ sa, ma fufudꞌi se fo tao tungga deꞌulakaꞌ. Ara akaꞌ sangga dalaꞌ fo bare-naꞌo rakandooꞌ a. Tantu Lamatuaꞌ huku-doki se!
15 having forsaken the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
Dalahulun, meser mana peko-lelekoꞌ naa ra, atahori mana tungga dala ndoo-tetuꞌ a, te doodꞌoo ma ara laoꞌ sora-senggo. No taꞌo naa, ara onaꞌ Balaam dalahulun, naeni Bosor anan. Eni naa, Lamatuaꞌ mana ola-olan esa. Te ana hiiꞌ a sangga doiꞌ, naa de ana tao dala nda matetuꞌ ra sa. Lao esa, Balaam sae banda keledei. Keledei ra nda bisa ola-olaꞌ sa. Te leleꞌ naa Lamatuaꞌ tao banda keledei a olaꞌ onaꞌ atahori e! De banda keledei naa, ena-ai Balaam, huu tatao-nonoꞌi deꞌulakan. Banda keledei naa, nau fo ana naloeꞌ, naa fo ana sudꞌi boe tao sora-senggoꞌ ra fai, onaꞌ atahori muluꞌ e.
16 but he got a rebuke for his wrongdoing—a mute donkey speaking with a human voice restrained the insanity of the prophet.
17 These are waterless springs, clouds driven by a storm, for whom the blackest of the darkness has been reserved forever. (questioned)
(questioned)
18 Because speaking pompous words of emptiness they entice through fleshly lusts, through licentiousness, those who have actually escaped from those who are living in error,
Ara rae fufudꞌi atahori, fo tao tungga sira hohongge-bubꞌuni nara. Ara hiiꞌ a kokoe-nanasi atahori mana feꞌe lao baliꞌ risiꞌ dala ndoo-tetuꞌ a, fo tao seluꞌ salaꞌ fai.
19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.
Atahori mana peko-lelekoꞌ naa ra helu rae, “Mete ma hei rena neu hai, na, hei bisa tao tunggaꞌ a hihii-nanau mara!” Te atahori mana olaꞌ taꞌo naa ra, onaꞌ ate mana nda bisa mboꞌi ao nara mia deꞌulakaꞌ ra sa. Huu atahori mana hela fee dalaꞌ sa nauli nala e, na, naa onaꞌ ana dadꞌi neu dalaꞌ naa aten ena.
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the real knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter circumstances have become worse for them than the first ones.
Mete ma nau nenemboꞌit mia deꞌulakaꞌ sia raefafoꞌ mana tao nanggenggeo nggita, na, musi tahine hita Lamatuan Yesus Kristus. Te mete ma hambu atahori dinggoꞌ hela E, fo reu raꞌabꞌue seluꞌ ro deꞌulaka onaꞌ dalahulun, na, naa onaꞌ dala deꞌulaka nauli se. Aleꞌ ia, ara boe hambu sosoeꞌ ena!
21 For it would have been better for them not to have really known the way of the righteousness, than having really known it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
Mete ma ara rahine dala masodꞌaꞌ matetuꞌ a ena, te ara dinggo, ma nda tao tungga dala maloleꞌ ma meumareꞌ a sa ena, fo Lamatuaꞌ parenda neu nggita, na, naa nda maloleꞌ sa. Malole lenaꞌ ara nda parna rahine dala ndoo-tetuꞌ a sa.
22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: a dog returns to its own vomit and a bathed sow to wallowing in mud.
Hambu dedꞌea lasiꞌ dai meser mana peko-lelekoꞌ ra oi, “Mete ma busa muta, na ana neu dalo baliꞌ mutas na.” Hambu laen fai, mana oi, “Mae fafi sa neneneriuꞌ ena o, ana baliꞌ neu loli tane a fai.
