< 1 Timothy 6 >

1 As many as are under the yoke of slavery should consider their own owners to be worthy of full respect, so that God's name and doctrine not be slandered.
Hambu tuan aten ruma mana ramahere neu Lamatuaꞌ Yesus. Ara musi fee hadꞌa-hormat neu tuan na, naa fo atahori deaꞌ ra nda hambu dalaꞌ fo olaꞌ raꞌatutudꞌaꞌ Lamatualain naran, ma nda raloe-radꞌae hita nenorin sa.
2 Those who have owners who are believers must not disregard them because they are brothers; instead they must serve them even better, because those receiving the good service are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
Hambu ate ruma tuan na namahere neu Lamatuaꞌ Yesus. Ate ra nda bole raloe-radꞌae tuan naa, huu namahere neu Lamatuaꞌ Yesus. Ara musi mete-seꞌu malolole lenaꞌ tuan nara, huu basa sira atahori mamahereꞌ, de musi rasodꞌa esa sue esa. Tius! Munori basa ia ra, ma huhuar jamaꞌat ra fo tao tungga basa naa ra.
3 If anyone teaches differently and does not consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine that accords with godliness,
Hita nenori matetun, dadꞌi netehuuꞌ mia dala masodꞌaꞌ fo tao nemehoꞌo Lamatuaꞌ ralan. Te atahori mana nanori fea no ia, ara piru hendi Lamatuaꞌ Yesus Kristus nenori matetun ena.
4 he is conceited and understands nothing. Rather he is obsessed with controversies and hair-splitting word battles, from which come envy, strife, slanderings, evil suspicions,
Atahori mataꞌ naa, koao, te uta nara rouꞌ! Sira hedꞌin, naeni hiiꞌ a sangga netofaꞌ ma nereresiꞌ dedꞌea-oꞌolaꞌ ra. Basa ia ra tao fee atahori ralan mera, ratofa, tao ralutu atahori laen nara malolen, ma rundu salaꞌ neu atahori laen.
5 constant wranglings of men with corrupted minds and destitute of the Truth, who suppose that godliness is a means to financial gain. Keep away from such people.

8 So having food and clothing we will be content with that.
Dadꞌi, sadꞌi nanaat no bꞌua-bꞌaꞌus dai, naa dai ena!
9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and harmful desires, that plunge people into ruin and loss;
Te atahori mana nae namasuꞌi, ana hambu sosobꞌaꞌ mataꞌ-mataꞌ no mudꞌaꞌ, losa ana tudꞌa nenenoreꞌ mia dꞌii-ona, huu duꞌa a hata-hetoꞌ a. Basa naa ra rendi sosoeꞌ ma ralutu masodꞌa nara.
10 because the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil; in their greediness some have been led away from the faith and have impaled themselves on many distresses.
Te sue dꞌoiꞌ naa, dadꞌi okaꞌ mia basa tatao deꞌulakaꞌ mataꞌ-mataꞌ ra. Hambu atahori ruma sangga dꞌoiꞌ onaꞌ naa, de ara dinggoꞌ raꞌadꞌodꞌoꞌ mia nemehere matetu nara. No taꞌo naa, ralutu baliꞌ sira masodꞌan.
11 But you, O man of God, flee these things; rather pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.

14 to keep this commandment without spot, blameless until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 which He will manifest at the proper time—He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and the Lord of lords;

17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be haughty, nor to rely upon the uncertainty of riches but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy; (aiōn g165)
Malole lenaꞌ ramahena neu Lamatualain masodꞌaꞌ a. Te Eni mana mbori fee hita, basa saa fo hita parluꞌ a, naa fo hita tamedꞌa masodꞌaꞌ ia nemehoꞌon. (aiōn g165)

19 —storing up for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, so that they may lay hold on the eternal life.
No taꞌo naa, ara radꞌuru suꞌi nara fo dadꞌi netehuuꞌ manggateeꞌ soaꞌ neu masodꞌa nara sia fai mana nemaꞌ ia. Dadꞌi ara rafefela masodꞌa mana naꞌena sosoa-ndandaaꞌ.
20 O Timothy, guard the deposit! Turn away from the godless, empty chatter and inconsistencies of what is falsely called ‘science’
Tius! Munea mulolole basa saa fo Lamatualain fee sia limam. Afiꞌ sordꞌodꞌodꞌo mo mana pepeko-lelekoꞌ ra. Afiꞌ olaꞌ tungga-tunggaꞌ mo dedꞌea nda mana nendi hadꞌa-hormat neu Lamatualain sa.
