Psalms 70

1 Unto the end, a psalm for David, to bring to remembrance that the Lord saved him. O God, come to my assistance; O Lord, make haste to help me.

Dāvida dziesma, dziedātāju vadonim, par piemiņu. Steidzies, ak Dievs, mani izglābt, ak Kungs, man palīdzēt.

2 Let them be confounded and ashamed that seek my soul:

Lai top kaunā un kļūst apkaunoti, kas manu dvēseli meklē, lai top atpakaļ dzīti un paliek kaunā, kas priecājās par manu nelaimi.

3 Let them be turned backward, and blush for shame that desire evils to me: Let them be presently turned away blushing for shame that say to me: Tis well, tis well.

Lai tie griežas atpakaļ sava kauna dēļ, kas saka: Tā, tā!

4 Let all that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee; and let such as love thy salvation say always: The Lord be magnified.

Iekš Tevis lai priecājās un līksmojās visi, kas Tevi meklē; lai tie, kas Tavu pestīšanu mīļo, vienmēr saka: augsti slavēts ir Dievs.

5 But I am needy and poor; O God, help me. Thou art my helper and my deliverer: O Lord, make no delay.

Bet es esmu bēdīgs un nabags; - ak Dievs, steidzies pie manis. Tu esi mans palīgs un mans glābējs, ak Kungs, nekavējies!
