Psalms 54

1 Unto the end, In verses, understanding for David. When the men of Ziph had come and said to Saul: Is not David hidden with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me in thy strength.

൧സംഗീതപ്രമാണിക്ക്; തന്ത്രിനാദത്തോടെ ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനം. സീഫ്യർ ചെന്ന് ശൌലിനോട്: “ദാവീദ് ഞങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ വായ്മൊഴി രൂപം നൽകിയത്. ദൈവമേ, തിരുനാമത്താൽ എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ; അങ്ങയുടെ ശക്തിയാൽ എനിക്ക് ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരണമേ.

2 O God, hear my prayer: give ear to the words of my mouth.

൨ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേൾക്കണമേ; എന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണമേ.

3 For strangers have risen up against me; and the mighty have sought after my soul: and they have not set God before their eyes.

൩അഹങ്കാരികള്‍ എന്നോട് എതിർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഘോരന്മാർ എനിക്ക് ജീവഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നു; അവർ ദൈവത്തെ അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ നിർത്തിയിട്ടില്ല.

4 For behold God is my helper: and the Lord is the protector of my soul.

൪ഇതാ, ദൈവം എന്റെ സഹായകനാകുന്നു; കർത്താവ് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ താങ്ങുന്നു.

5 Turn back the evils upon my enemies; and cut them off in thy truth.

൫കർത്താവ് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്ക് തിന്മ പകരം ചെയ്യും; അവിടുത്തെ വിശ്വസ്തതയാൽ അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയണമേ.

6 I will freely sacrifice to thee, and will give praise, O God, to thy name: because it is good:

൬സ്വമേധാദാനത്തോടെ ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് ഹനനയാഗം കഴിക്കും; “യഹോവേ, തിരുനാമം നല്ലത്” എന്നു ചൊല്ലി ഞാൻ സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്യും.

7 For thou hast delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye hath looked down upon my enemies.

൭കർത്താവ് എന്നെ സകലകഷ്ടത്തിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണ് എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ കണ്ട് രസിക്കും.
