Psalms 5

1 Unto the end, for her that obtaineth the inheritance. A psalm of David. Give ear, O Lord, to my words, understand my cry.

সংগীত পরিচালকের জন্য। বাঁশি সহযোগে দাউদের গীত। হে সদাপ্রভু, আমার কথা শোনো, আমার বিলাপে কর্ণপাত করো।

2 Hearken to the voice of my prayer, O my King and my God.

আমার সাহায্যের আর্তনাদ শোনো, হে আমার রাজা আমার ঈশ্বর, তোমার কাছেই আমি প্রার্থনা করি।

3 For to thee will I pray: O Lord, in the morning thou shalt hear my voice.

সকালে, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি আমার কণ্ঠস্বর শোনো; সকালে আমার প্রার্থনা আমি তোমার সামনে রাখি এবং আগ্রহভরে অপেক্ষা করি।

4 In the morning I will stand before thee, and will see: because thou art not a God that willest iniquity.

কারণ তুমি এমন ঈশ্বর নও যিনি দুষ্টতায় সন্তুষ্ট হন; কারণ তুমি দুষ্টদের পাপ সহ্য করতে পারো না।

5 Neither shall the wicked dwell near thee: nor shall the unjust abide before thy eyes.

দাম্ভিকেরা তোমার সামনে দাঁড়াতে পারে না। যারা অধর্ম করে তাদের তুমি ঘৃণা করো;

6 Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity: Thou wilt destroy all that speak a lie. The bloody and the deceitful man the Lord will abhor.

মিথ্যাবাদীদের তুমি ধ্বংস করো। যারা রক্তপিপাসু ও ছলনাকারী তুমি, হে সদাপ্রভু, তাদের ঘৃণা করো।

7 But as for me in the multitude of thy mercy, I will come into thy house; I will worship towards thy holy temple, in thy fear.

কিন্তু আমি, তোমার মহান প্রেমের গুণে, তোমার ভবনে প্রবেশ করতে পারি; তোমার পবিত্র মন্দিরের সামনে শ্রদ্ধায় আমি নত হই।

8 Conduct me, O Lord, in thy justice: because of my enemies, direct my way in thy sight.

হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার ধার্মিকতায় আমাকে চালনা করো, নতুবা আমার শত্রুগণ আমার উপরে জয়লাভ করবে। তোমার পথ আমার সামনে সরল করো যেন অনুসরণ করতে পারি।

9 For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain.

তাদের মুখের কোনও কথাই বিশ্বাসযোগ্য নয়; হিংসায় ওদের অন্তর পূর্ণ। তাদের কণ্ঠ অনাবৃত সমাধির মতো, তারা জিভ দিয়ে মিথ্যা কথা বলে।

10 Their throat is an open sepulchre: they dealt deceitfully with their tongues: judge them, O God. Let them fall from their devices: according to the multitude of their wickedness cast them out: for they have provoked thee, O Lord.

হে ঈশ্বর, তুমি ওদের অপরাধী ঘোষণা করো! ওদের চক্রান্ত ওদের পতন ডেকে আনুক। ওদের পাপের জন্য ওদের বিতাড়িত করো, কারণ ওরা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে বিদ্রোহ করেছে।

11 But let all them be glad that hope in thee: they shall rejoice for ever, and thou shalt dwell in them. And all they that love thy name shall glory in thee:

কিন্তু যারা তোমাতে আশ্রয় নেয় তারা আনন্দ করুক; তারা চিরকাল আনন্দগান করুক। তোমার সুরক্ষা তাদের উপর বিছিয়ে দাও, যেন যারা তোমার নাম ভালোবাসে, তারা তোমাতে উল্লাস করে।

12 For thou wilt bless the just. O Lord, thou hast crowned us, as with a shield of thy good will.

নিশ্চয়, হে সদাপ্রভু, তুমি ধার্মিকদের আশীর্বাদ করো; সুরক্ষা ঢালের মতো তোমার অনুগ্রহ দিয়ে তাদের ঘিরে রাখো।
