Psalms 43

1 A psalm for David. Judge me, O God, and distinguish my cause from the nation that is not holy: deliver me from the unjust and deceitful man.

Schaffe mir Recht, o Gott, und führe meine Sache wider ein liebloses Volk, errette mich von dem falschen und bösen Mann!

2 For thou art God my strength: why hast thou cast me off? and why do I go sorrowful whilst the enemy afflicteth me?

Denn du bist der Gott, der mich schützt; warum verwirfst du mich? Warum muß ich traurig einhergehen, da mein Feind mich drängt?

3 Send forth thy light and thy truth: they have conducted me, and brought me unto thy holy hill, and into thy tabernacles.

Sende dein Licht und deine Wahrheit, daß sie mich leiten, mich bringen zu deinem heiligen Berg und zu deinen Wohnungen,

4 And I will go in to the altar of God: to God who giveth joy to my youth.

daß ich hineingehe zum Altare Gottes, zu dem Gott, der meine Freude und Wonne ist, und dich preise auf der Harfe, o Gott, mein Gott!

5 To thee, O God my God, I will give praise upon the harp: why art thou sad, O my soul? and why dost thou disquiet me? Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance, and my God.

Was betrübst du dich, meine Seele, und bist so unruhig in mir? Harre auf Gott! Denn ich werde ihm noch danken, daß er meines Angesichts Heil und mein Gott ist.
