< Psalms 27 >

1 The psalm of David before he was anointed. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the protector of my life: of whom shall I be afraid?
David ih Saam laa. Angraeng loe ka hmaithaw hoi ka pahlonghaih ah oh; mi maw ka zit han vop? Angraeng loe ka hinghaih tha ah oh, mi maw ka zit bae han vop?
2 Whilst the wicked draw near against me, to eat my flesh. My enemies that trouble me, have themselves been weakened, and have fallen.
Ka ngan caak hanah, kasae kaminawk kai khaeah angzoh o naah, amthaek o moe, amtimh o.
3 If armies in camp should stand together against me, my heart shall not fear. If a battle should rise up against me, in this will I be confident.
Misatuh kaminawk mah na takui o khoep cadoeh, ka palung mah zithaih tawn mak ai: misatuk han angzo o cadoeh, angoephaih palungthin to ka tawnh.
4 One thing I have asked of the Lord, this will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. That I may see the delight of the Lord, and may visit his temple.
Angraeng kranghoihaih to ka hnuk moe, anih ih tempul thungah ka oh pacoengah, ka hing thung Angraeng imthung ah ka oh thai hanah, ka koeh ih hmuen maeto Angraeng khaeah ka hnik boeh.
5 For he hath hidden me in his tabernacle; in the day of evils, he hath protected me in the secret place of his tabernacle.
Raihaih phak naah anih mah angmah ih im ah kai na buepsak tih: angmah ih kahni imthung ah na hawk ueloe, lungsong nuiah anghnusak tih.
6 He hath exalted me upon a rock: and now he hath lifted up my head above my enemies. I have gone round, and have offered up in his tabernacle a sacrifice of jubilation: I will sing, and recite a psalm to the Lord.
Vaihi kai takui khoep ka misanawk nuiah ka lu hae atoeng tahang tih: to pongah angmah ih kahni imthung ah anghoe angbawnhaih to ka sak han: laa ka sak han, ue, Angraeng khaeah pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
7 Hear, O Lord, my voice, with which I have cried to thee: have mercy on me and hear me.
Aw Angraeng, kang kawkhaih lok hae na pathim paeh: na tahmen ah loe na pathim pae raeh.
8 My heart hath said to thee: My face hath sought thee: thy face, O Lord, will I still seek.
Ka krang hae pakrong oh, tiah na thuih naah, ka palung mah nang khaeah, Angraeng, na krang ni ka pakrong han, tiah thuih.
9 Turn not away thy face from me; decline not in thy wrath from thy servant. Be thou my helper, forsake me not; do not thou despise me, O God my Saviour.
Na mikhmai hawk ving hmah loe, palungphuihaih hoiah na tamna hae haek ving hmah: Aw Sithaw, ka pahlonghaih, kai abomkung loe nang ni; na pahnawt sut hmah loe, na caeh taak hmah.
10 For my father and my mother have left me: but the Lord hath taken me up.
Kam pa hoi kam no mah kai pahnawt sut naah, Angraeng mah kai na talawk tih.
11 Set me, O Lord, a law in thy way, and guide me in the right path, because of my enemies.
Aw Angraeng, na loklam to patuek ah; ka misanawk pongah katoeng loklam ah na caeh haih ah.
12 Deliver me not over to the will of them that trouble me; for unjust witnesses have risen up against me; and iniquity hath lied to itself.
Amsawnlok thui kaminawk hoi tahmenhaih tawn ai poeksae kaminawk loe, kai han misa angthawk o thuih pongah, ka misanawk koehhaih baktiah kai hae nihcae khaeah paek hmah.
13 I believe to see the good things of the Lord in the land of the living.
Kahing kaminawk ih prae ah, Angraeng hoihhaih to ka hnu tih, tiah tanghaih ka tawn ai nahaeloe, ka palung thazok tih boeh.
14 Expect the Lord, do manfully, and let thy heart take courage, and wait thou for the Lord.
Angraeng to zing ah: thazok hmah, to tiah nahaeloe anih mah na poekhaih palungthin to thacaksak tih. Angraeng to mah zing ah.
