Psalms 23

1 A psalm for David. The Lord ruleth me: and I shall want nothing.

൧ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവ എന്റെ ഇടയനാകുന്നു; എനിക്ക് ഒരു കുറവും ഉണ്ടാകുകയില്ല.

2 He hath set me in a place of pasture. He hath brought me up, on the water of refreshment:

൨പച്ചയായ മേച്ചിൽപുറങ്ങളിൽ കർത്താവ് എന്നെ കിടത്തുന്നു; സ്വഛമായ ജലാശയത്തിനരികിലേക്ക് അവിടുന്ന് നടത്തുന്നു.

3 He hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name’s sake.

൩അവിടുന്ന് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു; തിരുനാമംനിമിത്തം എന്നെ നീതിപാതകളിൽ നടത്തുന്നു.

4 For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.

൪മരണനിഴലിൻ താഴ്വരയിൽ കൂടിനടന്നാലും ഞാൻ ഒരു അനർത്ഥവും ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല; അങ്ങ് എന്നോടുകൂടി ഇരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ; അങ്ങയുടെ വടിയും കോലും എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

5 Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me. Thou hast anointed my head with oil; and my chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it!

൫എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കൺമുമ്പിൽ അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്ക് വിരുന്നൊരുക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ തലയെ എണ്ണകൊണ്ട് അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്റെ പാനപാത്രം നിറഞ്ഞ് കവിയുന്നു.

6 And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days.

൬നന്മയും കരുണയും നിശ്ചയമായി ആയുഷ്കാലം മുഴുവൻ എന്നെ പിന്തുടരും; ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽ ദീർഘകാലം വസിക്കും.
