Psalms 128

1 Blessed are all they that fear the Lord: that walk in his ways.

Beato l'uomo che teme il Signore e cammina nelle sue vie. Canto delle ascensioni.

2 For thou shalt eat the labours of thy hands: blessed art thou, and it shall be well with thee.

Vivrai del lavoro delle tue mani, sarai felice e godrai d'ogni bene.

3 Thy wife as a fruitful vine, on the sides of thy house.

La tua sposa come vite feconda nell'intimità della tua casa; i tuoi figli come virgulti d'ulivo intorno alla tua mensa.

4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

Così sarà benedetto l'uomo che teme il Signore.

5 May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: and mayest thou see the good things of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Ti benedica il Signore da Sion! Possa tu vedere la prosperità di Gerusalemme per tutti i giorni della tua vita.

6 And mayest thou see thy children’s children, peace upon Israel.

Possa tu vedere i figli dei tuoi figli. Pace su Israele!
