Psalms 118
1 Give praise to Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Δοξολογείτε τον Κύριον, διότι είναι αγαθός, διότι το έλεος αυτού μένει εις τον αιώνα.
2 Let Israel now say that he is good: that his mercy endureth for ever.
Ας είπη τώρα ο Ισραήλ, ότι το έλεος αυτού μένει εις τον αιώνα.
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
Ας είπη τώρα ο οίκος Ααρών, ότι το έλεος αυτού μένει εις τον αιώνα.
4 Let them that fear the Lord now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
Ας είπωσι τώρα οι φοβούμενοι τον Κύριον, ότι το έλεος αυτού μένει εις τον αιώνα.
5 In my trouble I called upon the Lord: and the Lord heard me, and enlarged me.
Εν θλίψει επεκαλέσθην τον Κύριον· ο Κύριος μου υπήκουσε, δους ευρυχωρίαν.
6 The Lord is my helper, I will not fear what man can do unto me.
Ο Κύριος είναι υπέρ εμού· δεν θέλω φοβηθή· τι να μοι κάμη άνθρωπος;
7 The Lord is my helper: and I will look over my enemies.
Ο Κύριος είναι υπέρ εμού μεταξύ των βοηθούντων με· και εγώ θέλω ιδεί την εκδίκησιν επί τους εχθρούς μου.
8 It is good to confide in the Lord, rather than to have confidence in man.
Κάλλιον να ελπίζη τις επί Κύριον, παρά να θαρρή επ' άνθρωπον.
9 It is good to trust in the Lord, rather than to trust in princes.
Κάλλιον να ελπίζη τις επί Κύριον, παρά να θαρρή επ' άρχοντας.
10 All nations compassed me about; and in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them.
Πάντα τα έθνη με περιεκύκλωσαν· αλλ' εν τω ονόματι τον Κυρίου θέλω κατατροπώσει αυτούς.
11 Surrounding me they compassed me about: and in the name of the Lord I have been revenged on them.
Με περιεκύκλωσαν, ναι, με περιεκύκλωσαν πανταχόθεν· αλλ' εν τω ονόματι του Κυρίου θέλω κατατροπώσει αυτούς.
12 They surrounded me like bees, and they burned like fire among thorns: and in the name of the Lord I was revenged on them.
Με περιεκύκλωσαν ως μέλισσαι· εσβέσθησαν ως πυρ ακανθών· διότι εν τω ονόματι του Κυρίου θέλω κατατροπώσει αυτούς.
13 Being pushed I was overturned that I might fall: but the Lord supported me.
Με ώθησας δυνατά διά να πέσω· αλλ' ο Κύριος με εβοήθησε.
14 The Lord is my strength and my praise: and he is become my salvation.
Δύναμίς μου και ύμνος είναι ο Κύριος, και έγεινεν εις εμέ σωτηρία.
15 The voice of rejoicing and of salvation is in the tabernacles of the just.
Φωνή αγαλλιάσεως και σωτηρίας είναι εν σκηναίς δικαίων· η δεξιά του Κυρίου κάμνει κατορθώματα.
16 The right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength: the right hand of the Lord hath exulted me: the right hand of the Lord hath wrought strength.
Η δεξιά του Κυρίου υψώθη· η δεξιά του Κυρίου κάμνει κατορθώματα.
17 I shall not die, but live: and shall declare the works of the Lord.
Δεν θέλω αποθάνει αλλά θέλω ζήσει και θέλω διηγείσθαι τα έργα του Κυρίου.
18 The Lord chastising hath chastised me: but he hath not delivered me over to death.
Αυστηρώς με επαίδευσεν ο Κύριος, αλλά δεν με παρέδωκεν εις θάνατον.
19 Open ye to me the gates of justice: I will go into them, and give praise to the Lord.
Ανοίξατε εις εμέ τας πύλας της δικαιοσύνης· θέλω εισέλθει εις αυτάς και θέλω δοξολογήσει τον Κύριον.
20 This is the gate of the Lord, the just shall enter into it.
Αύτη είναι η πύλη του Κυρίου· οι δίκαιοι θέλουσιν εισέλθει εις αυτήν.
21 I will give glory to thee because thou hast heard me: and art become my salvation.
Θέλω σε δοξολογεί, διότι μου επήκουσας και έγεινες εις εμέ σωτηρία.
22 The stone which the builders rejected; the same is become the head of the corner.
Ο λίθος, τον οποίον απεδοκίμασαν οι οικοδομούντες, ούτος έγεινε κεφαλή γωνίας·
23 This is the Lord’s doing: and it is wonderful in our eyes.
παρά Κυρίου έγεινεν αύτη και είναι θαυμαστή εν οφθαλμοίς ημών.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made: let us be glad and rejoice therein.
Αύτη είναι η ημέρα, την οποίαν έκαμεν ο Κύριος· ας αγαλλιασθώμεν και ας ευφρανθώμεν εν αυτή.
25 O Lord, save me: O Lord, give good success.
Ω Κύριε, σώσον, δέομαι· ω Κύριε, ευόδωσον, δέομαι.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name Lord. We have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.
Ευλογημένος ο ερχόμενος εν ονόματι Κυρίου· σας ευλογήσαμεν εκ του οίκου του Κυρίου.
27 The Lord is God, and he hath shone upon us. Appoint a solemn day, with shady boughs, even to the horn of the alter.
Ο Θεός είναι ο Κύριος και έδειξε φως εις ημάς· φέρετε την θυσίαν δεδεμένην με σχοινία έως των κεράτων του θυσιαστηρίου.
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, and I will exalt thee. I will praise thee, because thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
Συ είσαι ο Θεός μου, και θέλω σε δοξολογεί· ο Θεός μου, θέλω σε υψόνει.
29 O praise ye the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Δοξολογείτε τον Κύριον, διότι είναι αγαθός, διότι το έλεος αυτού μένει εις τον αιώνα.
