< Proverbs 7 >

1 My son, keep my words, and lay up my precepts with thee. Son,
Kachapa, kathumop hi juiyin, kathupeh chengse jong gou chin in ching jing-in.
2 Keep my commandments, and thou shalt live: and my law as the apple of thy eye:
Kathupeh chengse hinna nanei thei nadin nit jing in, kathuhil chengse namit chang naki chintup bang in chingtup in.
3 Bind it upon thy fingers, write it upon the tables of thy heart.
Hichengse chu nasuhmil lou nadin khutjem bun kibun lang, nalungthim gil sunga lekhajem bang in kijih lut in.
4 Say to wisdom: Thou art my sister: and call prudence thy friend,
Chihna hi naso pinu bang in ngailun, chule nagol ngaitah banga nakisem ding ahi.
5 That she may keep thee from the woman that is not thine, and from the stranger who sweeteneth her words.
Hichun numei jong hoa kon navendoh ding, pasal toh jonthanhoi bol numeia kon chu nahoidoh ding ahi.
6 For I look out of the window of my house through the lattice,
Kain bang-kot akon kagal vet’a, polam kavet a hileh,
7 And I see little ones, I behold a foolish young man,
Japi lah’a jong kamun, gollhang ho kititna mun’a jong kamun, lungthim bei gollhang khat aum in ahi.
8 Who passeth through the street by the corner, and goeth nigh the way of her house.
Amapa chu, numei jong-nu inlam achun avah lejin, hiche numeinu in-jotna lam chu ajon jitai.
9 In the dark, when it grows late, in the darkness and obscurity of the night,
Jingkah khovah then then in jong, nilhah lam in jong, jan muthim lah’a jong, hiche lam’a chun ache jitan ahi.
10 And behold a woman meeteth him in harlot’s attire prepared to deceive souls; talkative and wandering,
Chuin numei khat in amudoh tan, amanu chu noti-von a kivon, a-lua pon akikhuh in ahi.
11 Not bearing to be quiet, not able to abide still at home,
Hiche nuchu thunung lou khop in, jum le ja jong helouvin, in-a um thim thei louva keng javelvul a um ahi.
12 Now abroad, now in the streets, now lying in wait near the corners.
Kholaija um’a igel laijin, kailhanga akimun, munthip ningkoi lah jenga mi achang lhih jin ahi.
13 And catching the young man, she kisseth him, and with an impudent face, flattereth, saying:
Gollhangpa chu amu teng angong koi pai ji-in, achop jitan, jum lou tah’in gollhangpa henga chun aseijin
14 I vowed victims for prosperity, this day I have paid my vows.
“Keiman chamna maicham sem ding tampi kaneijin, tuni hin kakitepna jouse pe tange,
15 Therefore I am come out to meet thee, desirous to see thee, and I have found thee.
Ajeh chu nangma velhih-a hung potdoh kahin, lunglhai sel’a nangma hol’a kahung chu, hikom-a kamutai.
16 I have woven my bed with cords, I have covered it with painted tapestry, brought from Egypt.
Kajalkhun jong Egypt gam’a ponnem jemhoi tah’a kapha jolsel ahi.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
Kajalkhun chunga myrrh namtui kathe in, aloes namtui le thingthal namtui tah kahin the ahi.
18 Come, let us be inebriated with the breasts, and let us enjoy the desired embraces, till the day appear.
Hungin, jankhovah geijin lungna chimtah in kinou taitin, kilungset hitin, jankhovah in kideito hite.
19 For my husband is not at home, he is gone a very long journey.
Ajeh chu kajipa in-a aumpon, khojin in mun gamla tah’a achen ahi.
20 He took with him a bag of money: he mill return home the day of the full moon.
Asum bom a sum dimset’in akipoh in, lha kichai lam teng hung kile din achetai.”
21 She entangled him with many words, and drew him away with the flattery of her lips.
Hitichun numeinun thungai tah tah aseijin ajol jol tan, ajonan athunun in, kamnal hiohio cha akihoupi tahjeh in gollhangpa jong anom tan ahi.
22 Immediately he followeth her as an ox led to be a victim, and as a lamb playing the wanton, and not knowing that he is drawn like a fool to bonds,
Alungthou jah’in hichenu chu ajui tan, Bongchal in aki tha nading mun ajot bang le thang a-ohsa sakhi bang in numeinu nung chu ajuitai.
23 Till the arrow pierce his liver: as if a bird should make haste to the snare, and knoweth not that his life is in danger.
Sakhi golpai thalpin alungchang athil pai bang leh, vacha banga ahinkho beina ding akihet phah tapon ahi.
24 Now therefore, my son, hear me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
Hijeh chun ka chapate ho kathusei hohi lunglut tah in ngaijun, chule kakam sunga kon thu kisei hohi ngai phauvin.
25 Let not thy mind be drawn away in her ways: neither be thou deceived with her paths.
Hiche numeinu lam akhun nalungthim lamvai sah hih in, amanu lam lhahna tinchanga jong nache lou hel ding ahi.
26 For she hath cast down many wounded, and the strongest have been slain by her.
Ajeh chu amanu hin pasal tampi manthahna aso-ahitan, sepai thahat lai jong asuhgam ahitai.
27 Her house is the way to hell, reaching even to the inner chambers of death. (Sheol h7585)
Amanu in jotna lampi hi noimi gam lampi ahin, thina lhankhuh sunga kilhung lut lampi ahi. (Sheol h7585)
